Biggest myth on the Internet, what people mean is the proportions are trash at best... It doesn't make the watch wear "bigger".... You can't make a 40mm watch look like a 42... The lugs are just too big
Just bought the PRX 35 in gold. What an amazing timepiece. I have the Grand Seiko SBGW253 for casual and dressy, the Omega PO 39.5 for sporty look, my Timex T80 Pacman on black leather strap for fun. Needed a gold watch to go with my gold accessories and this watch delivers. Not only it is comfortable on the bracelet, but it looks so good in gold. It will go perfectly with my ST Dupont gold dust rollerball pen. Everyone should get a watch to go with their accessories. Glad I bought the 35mm version since my 6.25" wrist can only accommodate a lug to lug of 45mm and this watch has a distance of 45mm from endlink to endlink.
I almost bought this gold one. If it weren’t for my son who’s also going to wear a PRX, I would have gone with a gold model. 35mms is a solid size for 6.25in wrists. Good choice. P
I love how the dial with the little embossed squares is available only for the automatic version for zero reasons but making you spend double the money if you like that dial type.
Or to give the people spending more money on the movement a greater payoff. Depends on your perspective. The consumer that wants a quartz, or Tissot who wants to make both quartz and automatic customers happy.
I finally did get a PRX quartz 40mm (black dial) a couple days ago. I paid $270 on Joma ($280 black friday price - $10 from a coupon code I found online). I'm so impressed with the watch, especially the quality of the bracelet and the overall fit & finish. The second hand on mine isn't missing any of the markers too badly, which is a nice thing. This watch is quite a bit nicer than it has any right to be at the price. About automatic vs. quartz PRX: the quartz is thinner, and thinner is definitely better for the PRX. Also I'm not completely sold on the Powermatic 80 movements. The Powermatic 80 found in the Tissot Gentleman has a familiar pallet fork with entry & exit jewels, but in the PRX's powermatic 80 you get some kind of plastic abomination. The Powermatics are also annoying to regulate and service (you can do both of those things, but you may not want to).
I have both, green dial quartz 40mm and Powermatic 80 rose gold/white dial. Bought the quartz first and it’s fine, certainly sporty and an excellent summer watch. However the rose gold / white dial Powermatic is quite a premium look in comparison. From the slight sheen on the textured face to the framed date window, the Powermatic takes the finish of the quartz version and adds that small amount of enhancement to create premium status. I don’t think buyer can go wrong either way but I encourage prospective buyer to take a close look at both before making decision, especially as a Powermatic PRX can be found around $500 USD. BTW I have a 6.5” wrist and had to try play with links and wear style to get both PRX’s to fit just right. After watching your video I will get the strap, was on the fence but it is an obvious add to the PRX experience.
im glad my video helped. Well in this case it helped you spend more money on watches so my "gladness" can be bad for your health and marriage (if you are married) and could further plunge you to the depths of emotional and financial despair. Welcome to the club. Tissot, where's thats sweet royalty deal? i'm doing some heavy lifting here.
I've been mulling about this and the Seiko Laurel reinterpretation. I would really love to have the PRX but the only reason that's keeping me from getting it is the size dimensions. In my case, the 40mm variant is too big, while the 35mm variant is too small. Tissot should have instead offered a 37-38mm version instead of the default 40mm since they decided on not making the end links articulated which made the lug-to-lug length too long.
To me, the whole point of the PRX is to celebrate the original model 70s model, which was (gasp!) quartz. I have the 35mm in blue and find it just perfect for me.
Just got the 35mm too. I, probably like many people, was worried that the 35mm would be too small and 40mm would definitely be too big. But the 35mm fits my sub 7" wrist perfectly. Really happy with it. And i agree, the quartz movement and smaller size fits better with that 70's vibe while still looking modern and contemporary. Im kinda over the whole automatic craze anyway quite honestly.
To me the 40mm PRX is too big for your wrist. Appropriate watch size isn't all about dial diameter. The integrated bracelet makes the PRX wear big. The 35 would be better for your wrist size.

PRX quartz right now. I think that’s because the gmt is of barely any use for me and not to mention that I have a lot of divers and a couple of GMTs already.
Coming from a Casio edifice 2016 still perfect daily. Just found this PRX and the PRX 80 hard to make a choice for a daily. Price in EU is 400 vs 700 euro. What would you do ? Quartz or 80, even at 700 for a swiss made is a good price but don't want go hard as student. 400 already seems alot and could buy also like armani exchange/Hugo Boss.
Never buy an Armani exchange or Hugo boss watch. The quality would not even compare to any casio. Believe me I would rather buy a fossil which is about the same quality as Armani or Hugo but a fossil is an actual proper watch brand. Tissot is even better.
@@DesignAtelier haha alright then thanks man. Indeed I payed around 80 euro original full set edifice in summer 2016. Since then fell in love more and more as my watch journey began. Kind of like the dot never hitting the exact corner of the TV
Funny my Walmart watch hits the second perfectly 😂
which one do you prefer: tissot prx quartz or seiko 5 gmt?
PRX quartz right now. I think that’s because the gmt is of barely any use for me and not to mention that I have a lot of divers and a couple of GMTs already.
I wish they made the lume model in 35mm
Perfect video editing!
Can you provide the reference number of that Submariner in this video? Thank you.
114060
Now few years later still a dime piece and indeed quality wise better than the non watch brands. Was also sortoff thinking that way. But for now Think will stick to the normal 350/400 euro PRX blue. Would be looking nice in summer. Thanks
@@semmoney5686 smart choice my matey! You can still play around the 400$ range. Other TISSOT come to mind and some great Seikos too. Also there is such a large pool of great watches to choose from in the vintage area. Citizen is another brand that you should get at steep discounts online not in a boutique or mall.
What do you meqn by "quartz version is not for everyone"? I know some prefer automatic, some quartz, but it seems you mean something else here?
That’s all it means. Some people prefer quartz, some automatic. Nothing more.
1:13 TOYOTA MOE !!??…doing something nice? 🙀
Always has.
Thank you! I got the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 Green Dial. lol I just liked the Automatic movement better and i just like the dial better and it's really cheap too :)
Yes and yes. I would have gone with that automatic too. It’s just too big for my wrist.
@@DesignAtelier That's my gripe actually, it's a little small in my wrist. LOL. Eitherway, still great value since i got mine at $545
I too am leaning towards quartz here. Although I do want more lume I think.
I don’t mind the lume but there really is barely any of it on this one.
Wish they used this dark blue on 35mm
Good points, but I have big wrists.
All good!
Beautiful video production. Well done, mate.
Thanks a bunch!
Tissot UK has a strap changing tool included with the strap.
This one as well. I just kinda forgot about it. It was in my drawer.
Great quality video and review! Thank you...
I’d get it if the dial actually has the same texture
Same texture as what?
@@DesignAtelier as mechanical version
What's your wrist size? I'm torn between the 35 and 40
Same… what did you get?
Awesome review big love from Australia 😊😊😊
From the happy island in the Caribbean to the land down under.
this quartz have alot of dupe, with same case, similar dial, same quick release clasp mechanism, similar quartz movement for less than half the price,
Hard to find the leather straps.
I ordered them from tissot site. www.tissotwatches.com/en-en/t852047701.html
I have a prx auto in green, anyone else feels like the bracelet is just uncomfortable? Can’t seem to get a good fit with it. The clasp keeps hitting my wrist, i don’t really know how to explain it

Since I have a small wrist the quartz version is the one for me. And the dial looks better
exactly my choice. bravo!
Wouldn't the automatic last a lifetime while the quartz movement would wear out after like 30 years?
I hope they come out with more colors for the leather straps. I want camel or tan.
Oh they’re going to milk this model for sure!
looks good, looks like a zenith defy
yes i agree!
Tissot gave a premium look to the powermatic dial. But I rather go with quartz. Quartz is better, sorry.
Great edits mate!! Keep it up
Love your work man, very cool. The quartz is the way to gooooo.
Thanks. Yes quartz for me so far. I’m hoping to get an automatic though in time.
@@DesignAtelier I'm actually making the shift, I love my autos but the practicality of quartz especially as a full time dad that bangs it around and needs grab and go, is a win, so I'm excited to get a nice one.
Quality content! Keep it up
Nicely done video!
I'd love to have quartz PRX with waffle dial :( It would look way better for me
Bought the quartz ( ice blue) because i dont like the waffle on the Automatic
For ur wrist, 35mm wuld b better
Watch is too big for your wrist
No it’s not
@@GentleManOnly3yes it is. Way out of proportion.
No watch is too big for wrist. It’s to each of their own man. Talking about big then let’s talk about RM 😂😂 bet you be crawling on the ground if someone give you a RM to wear huh 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It’s not
Tissot gave a tool to remove the straps when I bought the leather one.
True. I may have misplaced that amongst the countless tools here.
What's your wrist size?
6.25 inch
Nice watch but on a 6.25 inch wrist like mine (and yours) it’s just too big!
You’re a purist at the truest sense. All good.
Great video, but still its a bit too big for your wrist and doesnt look very goof
Yup. Still owning it.
For that kind of money , I’d like a solar movement.
Oh well an edifice, gshock or an eco-drive might work for you.
I’m eyeing a Citizen :) Already have the other two options:)
I have the quartz, the crystal reflects a lot of light.
That’s good in my book.
Bought an early PRX & the seconds hand seldom hit the marks. It drove me mad & flipped it almost immediately. Very nice looking watch & great value other than that.
Honestly I didn’t notice that. I guess I cared far less to flip it. But yeah I bought it for the bracelet. It’s awesome enough. Maybe I’ll fly this later if I have something else in mind.
I got the Quartz simply because I could not justify buying the automatic just for a waffle dial and automatic movement. And I do not regret my choice absolutely love the PRX! I went with the green dial and it looks exceptional.
honestly i could justify for myself getting the automatic for the caliber. but i found this one fit my wrist better and my son shares wearing it with me.
@@DesignAtelier i can see that i love the waffle dial but for me the extra 400$ almost i can’t justify it. Its other watches i want more but it love this design for formal clothing ☺️
you mean the throwaway automatic movement?
