I react to Casey Neistat's "Make It Count" and give my professional experience to analyse and break down why this video is so good, it's so good guys.
I'm Hayden Hillier-Smith, on this channel I will break down what makes good editing...pulling back the curtain on how editors make the choices to keep YOU, THE AUDIENCE engaged. This includes showcasing the creative choices I have made.
And exploring the editorial process for other UA-cam channels in how they have optimised their content. I’m even going to take you through my journey where I experiment on how I can become a better editor and learn through my experiences.
Whatever it is that I do on this channel, I hope you can learn something and discover your own ability on being a content creator yourself.

As a mid aged woman making gardening content, the first thing I did when starting my channel 5 years ago was to study the Paul Brothers. If I wanted to make successful UA-cam videos then I needed to understand youtube, and it seemed like the most educational place to start. I didn't like the videos, but I saw the value - and I attribute my current small success with having this as my foundation.
Finding your videos now, and using your incredible storytelling education to continue to grow my skills feels very full circle. Thank you.

    Render issue at 5:30!
Point I wanted to make is he merged the two themes of the motivational quotes and the running across screen visual to give you a "reward" for watching.

Casey created a standard of creativity that most of us will never reach, therefore doomed us all.
      It's depressing, and comforting.

@@HillierSmith Casey is a long time friend of mine. I doubt anyone will see this and I doubt anyone cares that I know him. Not here to brag or something, because there isn't anything to brag about in my opinion. It's not my accomplishments. But anyway, Casey is such a great talent and even back in middle school I knew he was going to go places in life. I just thought at the time it was going to be some sort of "extreme" sport. Like Snowboarding, or something. He actually was an amazing in-line skater too. When everyone else was skateboarding he was sliding the rails on blades. It's been wild watching him grow.

Sorry. But right now Casey has a colab with some company. It's for Content creators. If you win you get gear and a meet-up.

Love it brother, hoping to see more from this channel, you definitely breakdown and highlight universal concepts that can be utilized in anyone's work. One thing to suggest, put a high pass filter or eq the low / sub frequencies on your mic audio. Knocking into it and on the desk created some less than ideal sub frequencies that distracted me and took me out of the vid. Cheers!
