Pearl Jam at its peak. Eddie's voice, the rawness of the band, the drummer, Vedder's looks, the gig, the crowd. This is beyond music, this theatre...

Perhaps the greatest and most beautiful song ever written about a broken heart and the unplugged version he sang perhaps the greatest live version of any song ever sung. Absolutely raw emotion and so so beautiful. This song always hits home and will always have a special place in my heart despite how incredibly sad it is but that's life and he let it all out and I just imagine so many people he reached from this song and helped let out all the pain as well.

She was my best friend my soulmate😢 and the mother of our only child, and I will never get over losing her and this song is heartbreaking and I listen to it repeatedly because it reminds me of just how much we were in love not just with each other but with the love of the life we had with our family. A truly heartfelt song for me. Keep on Rocking the world Eddie my friend.

    Hey, oh
    Sheets of empty canvas
    Untouched sheets of clay
Were laid spread out before me
    As her body once did
    All five horizons
    Revolved around her soul
As the earth to the sun
Now the air I tasted and breathed
    Has taken a turn
Oh and all I taught her was everything
Oh I know she gave me all that she wore
    And now my bitter hands
    Chafe beneath the clouds
    Of what was everything
    Oh the pictures have
    All been washed in black
    Tattooed everything
    I take a walk outside
    I'm surrounded by
    Some kids at play
    I can feel their laughter
    So why do I sear
Oh, and twisted thoughts that spin
    Round my head
    I'm spinning
    Oh, I'm spinning
How quick the sun can, drop away
    And now my bitter hands
    Cradle broken glass
    Of what was everything
    All the pictures had
    All been washed in black
    Tattooed everything
    All the love gone bad
    Turned my world to black
    Tattooed all I see
    All that I am
    All I'll be
    Yeah
I know someday you'll have a beautiful life
    I know you'll be a star
    In somebody else's sky
    But why
    Why
    Why can't it be

@eddievedder1919 I only recently discovered PJ, being 61 years. Five years ago, March 9, 2018, I was involved in a hit-and-run car accident that left me disabled, physically and emotionally. PTSD, Clinical Depression and Anxiety, Chronic head, neck and back pain. Wife and daughter left me. Son stayed, but was in college and I was Alone for months at a time. Bought a puppy that got me out of my head and bed. Suffered. Then, was diagnosed with Amyloidosis of the heart, a form of blood cancer, despite being healthy my whole Life, no known heart disease in family, but they think it’s genetic. Thirty two chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant. Lost all my hair. (Took seven months to grow back). Did not get one penny from the hit-and-run trial as my Ex character assassinated me. Met a gal, also divorced, on EHarmony. We are getting married in a year, June 8, ‘24, and I am in remission! ALIVE has such meaning for me! I am still Alive and things are looking up! Your music has Really Helped me and I cannot wait for my first PJ concert 9-2-23, St Paul, MN. Taking my fiancée. Thank you so much!!! Steve J.

I'm 60 so I'm really wondering that myself.
Just found out I'm a grunge freak. I had a baby in 91 and missed
Eddie Vedder until "Into the Wild".
It's been a wild, wonderful trip watching the whole band grow from crazy-ass dancing, head-banging boys into good looking men.
      Their talent has only increased.

When you find it, let me know, I'll come search in your direction as well! OMG, I still find him the most handsome man that ever lived... and that voice... Nowadays I appreciate PJ's music so much more than I did back then, when I could only stare at Eddie... OK, I admit, I still stare at Eddie....
