- These lightgun games are all setup to work with a Sinden lightgun. Emulators range from Mame to Teknoparrot and Windows. Some of the game captures show the the Sinden border flashing but it doesn't do that in game.

I have launchbox and all my games imported, I have a light gun category pre set up with all mame light gun games, I’m stuck on how to add from my other category’s, say PS2 or Naomi, how did you do it?
You need to highlight each game in launchbox and “add to playlist” then make sure that playlist is visible along with your platforms
Will light gun games work on a normal monitor or tv?also, do they use the mame emu.
Yes. The gun I use is a Sinden. It doesn’t require a sensor bar or ir receivers. It has a built in camera so it needs to have a border on the game so the gun knows where it’s shooting. Gun4ir uses ir sensors you place around your tv. The Sinden I have works on my 65” 4ktv as well as my projector screen. Just as long as the border is there 👍🏼.
They work with pretty much all emulators, you just need to configure it. I have several mame games. Mame 220 and mame 241. My regular arcade games are on mame 250 so I have three versions of mame 🤣
have you had any issues launching namco 357 games from launchbox with sinden? i get black screens on deadstorm pirates and sailor zombie/ both games launch fine when using gun4ir or retro shooter guns also target terror gold wont work w sinden for me
I have deadstorm pirates on PS3. Never had the arcade one as I heard there were issues on it like you’re describing
@@hdjoe22 only on sinden for me. Try sailor zombie for namco 357 its fun but again wont load for sinden and target terror gold no go for sinden
This is amazing. So its just your personal build, not for sale or dl? Sorry just stumbled upon this while looking on YT last night. Im looking for a plug and play box but i assume this is just for a PC because it has to be strong enough to handle all these games.
Yea it’s my personal build. Launchbox is never really a plug n play as it depends on file paths and all that. I could attempt to zip up my build excluding the games I have on steam, but it’s under 2tb and while my download speeds are really good, my upload speed would take forever to do that. My pc has a Ryzen 5600x, nvidia 2060 super and it runs everything perfectly. The newer pc games run in 4k. It’s an older card but you can still play newer games with even a 1660 card.

Hello friend, do you know any safe progam to force to resize a game?? I try to get sinden border on Ed Hunter - Iron Maiden.
You mean the border resize? I use reshade for that.

@@8bitevolushroom312 ah ok. Yea you need to choose which it runs off of… I don’t have the game to try it out unfortunately. The game doesn’t respond to the integrated sinden border with the button on the gun?
Thats a great setup. Exactly what i aim to achieve eventually. Ive had my sinden a few days and have a lot of teknoparrot games working already. Tomb raider is one im struggling with at the min how have you set your game up ? Reshade, trigger fix ?
I used the mouse fix patch on mine, and Reshade to add the border. The one little note on tomb raider… it will start up as a stand alone pc game but it gave me an input error . I do however, run it as stand alone pc, do the reshade border, then run it in teknoparrot. I did also have to thicken the border a bit on this particular game as the crosshair was a little shakey. Thickening the border a little fixed that and it works great!
Can you get the reshade menu to appear as my home key doesnt bring it up in tombe raider ?
@@liamlana not while in teknoparrot, that’s why I do it on the game itself. Double click on the Game.exe, let it load up and hit home to do the reshade border.. the game might stop and show you a “Call attendant” input error but you can still do the reshade. Make your border, click home to finish it, shut down the game. Run it in tekno and the border will be there
Thank you so much for your advice. Feel like im getting somewhere now. I have the game working with border etc. last issue is the blue in game reticle is off alignment but my gun is shooting where it should any ideas ?
@@liamlana if the blue crosshair is jittery, increase the thickness of your border a little. In most of my games, I use a size 18 border, I had to go to I think 22 on this game to clear up the reticle issues. Also, hold left on your d pad on the gun for a few seconds to enter a quick calibration mode. Once you hold the button, the on screen crosshair should go to the exact center of the screen. Aim down your site right at it and pull the trigger. Should help

No, US here. I need to start combing through PS2 and 3 for some Lightgun games now as well. I’d like to be at about 60 gun games overall with a nice mix

@@indychohan7264 it’s not necessarily an image as it’s just a folder… I have a 2tb setup on a single drive, and all of my steam games on a separate drive. In theory, I could copy the entire launchbox folder, with games, emulators, videos and images onto a 2tb drive copy. I have extremely good download speeds but abysmal upload so I couldn’t do a mega link or anything like that

Will it work for the IR guns
I set mine up for sinden. All games will work for whatever gun as long as you set it up for it. Several of my games have reshade built into them now to add the sinden border

@@hdjoe22 the only reason why I asked am having trouble with the setup error can only see one gun won't shoot reinstall the software can only use one gun, not two. Even the one gun won't work
