Since Ralph wanted some features like true 4:3 gameplay, crosshairs disabled and mamehooker intergration, i decided to build a modern light gun mini pc with the new ryzen 7735HS.

My lightgun cab is all ready, just waiting to finish up some other arcade projects and for budget to free up. But sending in my Aimtracks for G4IR conversion will be the final piece when I’m ready. It’ll be worth saving for. Can’t wait for proper autofire as well.
On the note of Virtua Cop 1+2, arcade version is the way as you mentioned. But the PS2 is worthy to consider having on as it is fully retexture and is a nice change up (VC is probably my favorite franchise), the consoles before can be skipped if you already have the arcade version.

Hey Raymondo, I've found my way here from Ralph's video. That's a really impressive set-up you've got going on there (and my 12 year old PC's on it's last legs, so I'm always interested in hearing about new hardware options - that mini Ryzen you're using looks pretty awesome).
I would absolutely _LOVE_ to see you mod a NERF Aliens Pulse Rifle into a fully fledged recoil and rumble enabled Gun4IR device. The NERF gun's even got a little light up ammo counter on the side, so it'd be perfect for connecting up to MAMEhooker!

That’s not bad at all. Pretty accurate.
Whenever I would get a new recoil gun game in the arcade I would disable the recoil. No one cared or even knew it was missing. Less maintenance, less noise win win.
Holy shit this is amazing!!!!! I would love a build like this with all the other normal emulators for the non light gun games too and two guns if could get this in the UK be incredible should look at making these to buy as a package light guns and joypads with full catalog of gun games and retro games sign me up
I have a mini ryzen7 5800u and would love to have your build with those fixes. I basically gave up on Teknoparrot becasue of the overwhelming difficulty

That would be cool if you could buy this, at least the console with the games. I really wish i could play some of these old light gun games and would totally buy a Gun4ir if i had the time to figure out emulating. Having never done it before and, doing a bit of digging it doesnt seem impossible to figure out. I just dont have the time working full time, going to school part time, and living in America… lol. It would seem the other options for pre built light gun consoles usually aren’t powerful enough to run stuff properly and I know for a fact the more lag the worse for me.
Is there anything else out there thats close or similar to something like this thats got a price tag on it?

That looks like the Beelink Ser6 Pro! I got that exact pc just for this very reason too (and to replace my dead PCs). Still trying to get a Gun4IR, but great to see it runs these games pretty well, though was looking to run it off an external drive. Sad to hear TC4 (and presumably Razing Storm) is difficult to work with.

Just a question...I've made my own button box similar to yours, and it works well to navigate Big Box. My issue is setting it up in Teknoparrot: I have P1/2 and coin buttons mapped correctly with the button box, but the output on the encoder is Dinput, whereas the Gun4ir guns are Raw input. Were you able to figure out a work around for Teknoparrot? I'm having troubles making the guns Dinput, as the buttons will register, but not the motion of the guns, and I've been unable to make the box work with raw input. If you could give me any advice I'd really appreciate it!

Where do you get the games from?
Hello Ray thanks for the help video for G4IR setup it successfuly changed my controller numbers to 1 and 2 in mame setup, but for one game I cannot figure out why it still uses the old numbers. I have deleted all the INI and CFG files for that game to no avail and am not sure wth is going on. only one game that is giving m the problem. I suppose I can set it up with the old controller numbers, but always want to try and understand what is gong on.

How can I get the velcro sensors? Because my arcade machine doesn’t have the mod to add the regular sensors.

Yo do you guys still have any of time crisis arcade guns with sliding recoil in stock? I know it can be kinda pricey but I’d love to get something like that to play the time crisis games with. Also just a question about mamehooker: I know it can detect when the guns out of ammo which is cool but say in time crisis 2 where you grab a machine gun or in the 3rd game when switching weapons, would the software be able to switch recoil modes from single shot to automatic on the fly like in the arcade or does mamehooker not work like that? Thanks
Yes it does switch from single to auto in those games that support it, and I actually have some refinished time crisis ones for close to half price, send me a message
