I stripped the "steel" tab out and pried the rivets off just to get the anti-tilt follower in there. I couldn't even cram all 20 rounds in there because of the follower height
@chippster stephens Supposedly, the 20-round magazines issued in Vietnam were not intended for repeat use, hence their inferior spring and stamped, aluminum construction; they were loaded with no more than 18 rounds due to reliability issues. Is it lore fabricated by armchair historians, do you top your magazines off?
The Sunday Shooter they definitely fit 20rds but I personally always download my mags for longevity. I’m guessing that was what the fed was going for too. 2 more shots < two more months of mag life. I’m no expert though

USGI mags have a dry film lubricant applied and using a metal brush will remove the coating.

Can you put a magpul follower in the 20 round? Would you have to remove that clip thing?
