Love my echos, but that shindaiwa trigger is sooo much more comfortable for all day use. I had rhe t235 before i backed over it. I picked up a battery operated echo pas at the dealer and it had a different trigger (kind of like stihl or husky).
Hope you have good luck with both. I've been thinking about getting a t262 now after retiring my 2620 this year. Just to try out the difference in ergonomics. If the shindaiwa trigger is like the Husqvarna 525lst, then it should be great. The 2620 is great. Just watch your line once you take off the guard. They'll still rip, but you can hear the engine giving a bit more strain. That's where the 2620T outperforms the 2620. But still a great performer. I got a video of a 2620 tearing it absolutely up just so you can see what it can do. Hope you're able to check it out.
Bought a T262 this year to see how we liked it compared to the Husky 525LS’s we’ve used for years. There are things I like about the Shindaiwa but overall I prefer the Husky’s. The speed feed head is fine but the Husky heads are better in my opinion.

Just picked up another t262 last week to replace my last 94r. 54 Lawn and Garden is a great place to do business with, I highly recommend them. We do most of our work in Paris, but live in Mansfield.
How is the power difference between the 2620 you demoed and the 94R? I’ve had stihl 90 and 130s. The 90 just seems week to me after using a 130. But the 91 is on sale for $300 and the 131 or an echo I would buy at would be $400-500. The stihl dealer availability and support is hands down better than the echo in my area which is another reason I’ve used stihl
Id say the 94r had just a little more top end power than the 2620. For 99.9% of what we do that wouldn’t make a difference. I personally didn’t like the two 91r we had, but liked the two 94r we had. Dealer support is a big deal and probably the biggest reason we are switching to echo
@@javanwinders3399stihl has better dealer support in my area to me. The echo dealers are closed on Saturday and echo told me dealers can refuse to warranty or work on equipment they didn’t sell. Stihl has more dealers, their open 6 days a week and seem willing to work on them no matter where they come from
Just bought an Echo SRM-225 for this years season, loving it so far on my customers yards.
That was the first trimmer I’ve ever used! I bought it 8 years ago and it’s still running strong!
I prefer the Shindaiwa.
Only thing I wish it had was an auto resetting kill switch. Both the Stihls and the huskys have it.

I have a 2620t and i have been wanting to put the shindaiwa drive shaft inside the echo for less vibrations.
Did you do it? I should have probably thought of that before selling it and getting the Shindaiwa. Although I didn't like the trigger either.

Stihl has a nice speed feed head. Not sure of the name of it.
