I prefer the Shindaiwa. Only thing I wish it had was an auto resetting kill switch. Both the Stihls and the huskys have it.

Does the front weight mount kit come with unit?

How is the pad for taller people? Do your knees hit any metal or is the pad long enough? I’m about 6’1/6’2

Just got mine last weekend its pretty good for me too and the only thing is get the best trimmer line out there it will perform much more than you expected

Bought a T262 this year to see how we liked it compared to the Husky 525LS’s we’ve used for years. There are things I like about the Shindaiwa but overall I prefer the Husky’s. The speed feed head is fine but the Husky heads are better in my opinion.

I did the shop around and for the money vs quality of build, the Bobcat ZT-6100 is by far the best.

Older stihl didn’t have the push button to kill. My 90 and 130 have a switch that slide off, on and crank positions

How is the power difference between the 2620 you demoed and the 94R? I’ve had stihl 90 and 130s. The 90 just seems week to me after using a 130. But the 91 is on sale for $300 and the 131 or an echo I would buy at would be $400-500. The stihl dealer availability and support is hands down better than the echo in my area which is another reason I’ve used stihl

Hope you have good luck with both. I've been thinking about getting a t262 now after retiring my 2620 this year. Just to try out the difference in ergonomics. If the shindaiwa trigger is like the Husqvarna 525lst, then it should be great. The 2620 is great. Just watch your line once you take off the guard. They'll still rip, but you can hear the engine giving a bit more strain. That's where the 2620T outperforms the 2620. But still a great performer. I got a video of a 2620 tearing it absolutely up just so you can see what it can do. Hope you're able to check it out.

I have a 2620t and i have been wanting to put the shindaiwa drive shaft inside the echo for less vibrations.

I almost got the 31hp kawasaki version of this mower. My dad had an older z500 and it is still going strong. I love the toro quality. They are built great but i liked that the old z500 had many more greaseable points. The 4000 barely had any. That is one of the main reasons that i got a snapper pro 200xt.

What’s wrong with people? We always used to sharpen our blades by eye no fancy pieces of kit?

Love my echos, but that shindaiwa trigger is sooo much more comfortable for all day use. I had rhe t235 before i backed over it. I picked up a battery operated echo pas at the dealer and it had a different trigger (kind of like stihl or husky).

I got a shindaiwa m262 and I love it I did switch from stihl just for wacker I did have a km131r

I have the 2021 Model. It did change quite a bit from your 2000. I mow 10 acres each week, and have had no problems. Just changed the blades which is an easy process as long as you have a Torque Driver.

Leave the leaves. They're basically quick mulch, adding nutrients to your soil while maintaining a good moisture level for winter. Also creates an air barrier so your top soil doesnt freeze over so hard, and allows mycelium and bacteria to be active during winter, creating better soil. Stop raking leaves and let nature do its thing, it wont hurt, only help.
