When we tried to leave we were spotted by undercover police and basically held hostage until we paid them money. They accused us of trying to ride the subway without paying. Even after we explained we do not want on the subway and we only need directions to the museum. We initially refused to pay the "fine", but then they threatened to take us to the local jail.

Change Money at the airport is also a best know method to scam people. But it's legal 🤷🏻♂️
I love that you can physically acost this guy, speak English, and police / public don't freak out. Bring back street justice.
Honest Guide by Day and also Vigilante by Day.
Genuinely man, love the content and watching you clean up Prague whilst also showing the sights of Czech Republic 💚
awesome video, please never stop this. its so great to see people that help others
This guy is like Batman lol.
Good job! We need more honest people like you
That grandpa will never be stopped , just slowed down ! 😂😂. Ya got a sub here ! From a fellow anti-scammer, keep it up !
Janek and Honza you guys are doing a great job stoping these guy for doing these stupid scams. I'm really upset that people from Romania are having those kind of job to fool people and tourist in Prague. I hope to be kept all of them and I really admire you and Honza for what you are doing! Really good job! I also went to Prague and I saw how many those kind of scams are having there hourly, daily and monthly. I'm really upset that the Romania's image is tarnished by these people and you honest guys are putting so much effort to catch them in the act and go after to the police station with them. I hope for the authorities to make a way to catch them or send them to their country for a longer period of time.
Greetings from Romania! Good job, you are the awesome honest guides! Looking forward to learn as many czech words as possible! :)
nice documentary about crows stealing from tourists.
Kind of funny for me, you guys know each others so much after few years you met them, just like family, they not scare to meet you anymore. Is just like those chapter that showed in the movie 😂
AG is romanian, or at least, speaking romanian... I`m sorry you cannot take care of them once and for all. Respect and keep up the good work! Greetings from Romania!
se putea sa nu fie roman...😐
@@ForestWanderer_YT Putea fi bulgar, ceh, etc. Dar aproape sigur era sigur tigan din Bulgaria, din Romania, din Cehia, etc. Asta le e in ADN: cersit, înselat, furt. 🤮

You have saved so many people over the years. Give this man a medal and national hero status!!
You are brave. You are a great community serviceman. You are hilarious.
What more could we ask of you?
Dance moves?
To trip them up 'accidentally' when they go to run off !
Guys you are a legend. Before my trip to Prague I watched most of your clips.
Also our local Prague guide (Born in Prague on TripAdvisor) recommended you as best info channel on Czechia.
I was in Prague last week. It's not just happening in the city centre. I was getting a ticket at the machine at Nádraží Holešovice metro, a guy came over and offered to help with the ticket (we didn't need help), then afterwards asked us if we wanted to change any money. It wasn't Czech money he had in his hands!
Man you just have become from information tour guide to saviour, I just love your channel man.
Hehe, that scene with the "living museum of communism", that was hilarious. 🤣
As a norwegian and one who've enjoyed many journeys to Romania, it's crap like these scumbags who give that nation a bad rep. Good on you for catching these scammers, and hopefully by 2037, they'll be deported to no man's land when they're caught..... Keep up the good work!
But if the scammer is Romanian and in Romania where will he get deported to
All world the same story
More Scammer videos, let's go!
I discovered this channel from watching scammer/scam expose videos and I'm so glad I did. Overall I prefer when HG does videos on this stuff but that's just me, their content overall is super enjoable.
This guy is more useful than entire governments
You doing great work. Thank you for that
So much respect for you! Most people are afraid to confront them. I got scammed in Naples by two pros, a old guy, working with a young guy, the old bait and switch.
it’s very interesting to see how scammers act in Europe 😮
And a fun but undeniable fact: they look like hair salon ladies in comparison to any correspondent Latin American ones.
Great video. But be careful. They might get some people to hurt you really bad. But your videos are great. Just be safe.
urgh lord. These are the situations when I am truly ashamed to be Romanian.
@@Gelu345 sa fie 😂
@@Gelu345romania is ashamed of him for being a honest citizen working for his money instead of scamming for his money? You make no sense. How is romania going to be a functional country if the only job is scamming tourists? You should be ashamed of yourself for having the dumbest comment of 2023 on youtube. An i'm sure everybody you know would also be ashamed of you for supporting scams in the beautiful country of romania
Every city needs an anti-scammer like you!
You are a real good guy thank you for catching these scammers!
Scammers riding the lime sccoters and running over pigeons!🤣😂🤣 Love it!!
I love you and your good actions to keep the integrity of your city against scammers.
This channel is gold. This channel helped me out in 2018 when I visited Czech Republic. Glad you're still spreading the knowledge. 🍻
You'd think that the local officials would want to curb this type of scamming activity as it reflects negatively on them and may result in tourists deciding to avoid Prague. Or, it could be that they pay them to simply look the other way.
Prague is so overturisted (if that is even word) that if some turists avoid Prague, it will not be bad...
The Czech police are getting cash standing in money spots like the scammers and collecting cash from tourists just like the scammers, except in the from of entrapment using electric scooter locations and city codes. They don't care about actual crime infestation like is being highlighted here
You grip up on me like that, you probably going to lose that hand.
don't worrie he only grab the old people xD never seen him do it to any other person that can kick his ass
There's a show from the 1990s in the UK called The Cook Report. It involved someone very like you doing gangland busts and it was entertaining. You need your own series like this.
I'm so grateful to live where I do. No one here tries to scam or steal from tourists. It's actually the opposite. People are often shocked by our kindness and generosity. There's even a musical about it.
I love this channel. Looking forward to go to Prague and avoid some scams.
Keep busting them, Janek and Honza! Great work! I would also like to add that on my last trip to Prague (June, 2023), I paid for everything entirely with my Dutch bank card. I didn't have to change money even once.
I love how genuinely happy the scammers are to see you under the spiderman mask😂
😂
I love the friendship between the scammer and the guy that catches him.
It's 2023. Seriously people are changing money from a shady @$$ person on the street.
Have some class people!
Also don't be too friendly with those scammers!
this relationship between you is like the relationship between pepe mr. platypus and doofenshmirtz. it seems like hatred, you're trying to thwart evil plans, and sometimes this relationship seems like friendship
Hes like a kid in a scammer store! Love it
Thank you for your constant commitment and efforts. But what I will probably never understand: Why do people think it's a good idea to change money from complete strangers in the middle of a street? If everyone were a little more careful, these scammers might not even exist.
I absolutely love what you do. I love Prague, its a beautiful city and I have so many memories of it. The bad memories unfortunately are scammers and fake "drug dealers".
If these videos were a book it would be entitled "the unlikely friendship or Janek and the Romanian scammers"
the unlikely friendship or Janek and the 2 crows
I love how physical you get with scammers 😂
My main interrogation at every new episode of this series is who tf still changes money when traveling to a western country in 2023 instead of paying everything by card or directly withdrawing the local currency from an ATM ?
The atms have scams of their own in Czech. Like sure you can avoid the extra pay but it is so easy to accidentally do it. This channel has video (or few?) about it.
Love this !!!!!
Please keep educating the public 🙏🏼
Imagine the world with more people like him. ^^
Thank you so much. You deserve a medal from people around the world. I can see useless officials, they do nothing. Bad for the country to have scammers around.
You’re incredible man! Thank you for doing all you do!
The entire city of Prague is a tourist scam. I was there about 15 years ago. We were on the way to find the museum, followed the signs but somehow wound up in the underground subway.
I'm Romanian and I'm so embarrassed about some of my citizen. I also think why they don't do something with them. It is very serious what they did and they need to clean the city of scammers
I was to Romania just a few days ago for vacation. Loved the place. Scammers are everywhere and each nation has them. It is not your fault. I want to return to Romaina and spend more time in Brasov, it was a lovely city (of all the things we visited). The Danube delta was amazing too. Transfagaraš road as well. Very nice.
First question: why the hell are "expired bills" even a thing?
They made new bills with much higher value and the old bills people didn't exchange in time became worthless
As a Romanian I both laugh and cry at this
Ori ești prost ori ești tâmpit…
Bro, you are type of cop we all wanna have in our countries♥️
dumb question : why not pay someone to exchange a lot of money with a scammer so it becomes a crime (you made a video about how much to go from not much to something serious) ? Would the scammer not take the bait?
they are not stupid, they would not risk it and also if this would be a bait it would be consider to be an illegal evidence I think
This is such a serious issue but your videos are so hilarious. Being a banknote collector, I immediately recognized the Belarusian rubles. So funny! 😂
You guys got caught them with special proofs with themself after you trying hard but why you release them back, you must offer them to the police, otherwise they will surely do it again.
Well done. Thanks for raising awareness.
you're lucky he wasn't fighting back.
This man is helping so many ppl!!
8:05 The Scammer Grandpa was so happy to see his face.
Bro seriously you’re. A legend
As a Romanian, I am ashamed
Great work ❤
you are an absolute legend, thank you
Thank you for all your work! 🙏
Very very good job my friend..The govermand of this country should pay you for this work..Seriously..Keep doing the great work!!!
From chasing the scammers to become their buddy. You came a long way.
Tubby seams very likable - if someone is too stupid to part with their money they don't deserve it... I bet he's got some good stories... I love ur attitude. Keep em coming
Buddy, you are a literal hero.
You r a great brave man to be treated with respect
