These people make a living of scamming other people for their money, this might seem harsh but I honestly wish these people were disposed of somehow , just remove them from the face of the planet . Crazy that this ends up being the job of independent journalists to fix. The police or someone from the city should be handling these kind of scams happening every day in broad daylight.
Most police officers are not bothered to catch the thieves, scammers, pickpockets in big cities. When people, mostly tourists, realise they have been scammed or their money have been stolen, the thieves, pickpockets or scammers have already disappeared and very few people would have recorded the faces of those scumbags like Janek. The victims will go to report it to the police officers at the police stations. Mostly their cases will not be resolved. I was mugged in Brussels once in 1999 and reported it to the police and never heard from them. Unless there were investigators like Janek who record evidence on video in all big cities, those low life scumbags will still linger and try to find targets in the big cities.
@@MartintheTinman To be fair, the problem is not the police, but rather lax legislation, and the police cannot do more than they are allowed to. I as a tourist had a discussion with some very nice policemen in Prague, because I wanted to report a scam shop (double cigarette prices for tourists, which is illegal since prices are fixed by law), and they just sighed and said that sure, they can go there, but the shop will only get a fine which they can easily afford, and nothing else will happen.
It is disappointing to see that even after being caught, these scammers come back within a few days to the same place to scam other people. They are not afraid of law enforcement agencies.

It's hard to watch this for so many reasons but I am honestly so impressed with your persistence and how determined you are to make things right. I am sad that the police is not doing this but as a fellow Eastern European I understand...
I'm an Asian who had lived in Romania for 10 years, so let me tell you this-he's a Romanian by ID, true, but he's actually a gypsy and most gypsies tend to do heinous things like this wherever they are in. The real romanians are friendly and kind, unlike most gypsies that I have personally encountered.
the lack of any action against these scammers operating right outside businesses, and on public cameras, really really smells like they give a percentage to the cops in order to let them keep operating.
Sad truth is the police gets tired of arresting the same people over and over again and seeing them just continue .. Thats how much of this street crap scamming keeps going on . Not enough police ressources to keep them locked up again and again and the officers gets tired of doing much about them because they dont get much punishment anyways at the end of the day
I love what you're doing, but I can just imagine that one day soon, some of these guys are going to have so much animosity toward you that they'll put a target on your back. Just imagine that Raccoon, raging at home, contacting his cousins in Prague to "Deal" with his new-found nemesis.
Seeing the Bulgarian flag right next to the Romanian under the words "The Gang" is a pretty saddening feeling to say the least... but there's still hope. Thank you Janek & Honza for your bravery and outstanding dedication to what you do!

i guess 99,9% of people do get it but there's always going to be someone who falls for this, my best estimate is that these guys stand on the corners from morning til night and only manage to scam a handful of people out of several hundreds that they approach
@@hiphoponeworld sounds about right
Well, these people deserve it. The scammer is doing them a service by reminding them they shouldn't be stupid. The likelihood of them getting scammed again is close to zero, so yeah. I got scammed once and I haven't been that stupid since then.

I love the sounds the gypsi is doing all the time. His screams of anger are so funny. Its just insane.
Finally the police actually do something!
Great job Janek.
most are corrupt
These guys are literally roaches that never die, despite being exposed multiple times yet they still continue doing their dirty tricks! Kudos to the Honest team for their effort by trying their best to eliminate these pests, as it sure isn’t an easy job!
Roaches can be eliminated very easily.
Don't ever compare humans to vermin. Talking about 'eliminating' people is really not a good standard of morality to uphold.
These people really need to be deported back to Romania.
Romania never should have been allowed into the EU.
the patience you had with this man is absolutely astonishing.
All I can say is i take my hat off to you man. Well done!

Please be safe out there. It's really brave that you take matters in your own hands, but just keep in mind that people like this are unpredictable. Love your videos.
I think they're actually very predictable, they're predictable to act violent in these situations
I hope that you do not get seriously hurt in your efforts to catch the scammers!
This brings back so many memories of your "Prague vs Crooks" series, back in 2014. Prague owes you a big favor guys!
I'm late to the party but you're a damn legend for what you're doing.!

They say you can't judge the book by its cover but this guy has scammer written all over him from head to toe.

As a Romanian I feel really ashamed of sharing a nationality with people like that.

Thank you

As a Pole I had Romanian and gypsy neighbors. Naming the differences between them would make this comment almost a huge essay.

He must eat the raccoons too
Well done. I must say that you need better protection as I assume you are getting a reputation.
He'll manage :) .. look at his series "Prague vs Crooks" where he fights Prague taxi scammers. (It's hard to find nowadays because the rights for that series has some other company) :(
There are many other honest, dedicated people in Praha exposing these useless crooks and calling the police on them. Janek and Honza are protected by the citizens of Praha.
Excellent job! Your country owes you a debt of gratitude!! 👍👍👍
Wow this is some vigilante level investigation im impressed how you pieced all the puzzle and are cracking down on them believe it or not this made a dent on their organization, cant wait to see you put an end to it. stay safe brother always be thre steps ahead dont let them know what your next move is they could be watching!
it's commendable, but while he's chasing one guy, there are 50 others scamming in the city at the same time
Janek & Honza, you guys outdid yourselves this time!
Unfortunately, we can probably expect a "Return Of The Raccoon" follow up in 2024.
Judging by the raccoon’s physical state at the age of 48, heart disease and diabetes will take him out of the game before 2024. I think Janek and Honza should be paid by the government for the work they do 👍
Asalamualaykum , well done guys , ur country should be proud off u and ur team ! 👏
Wonderful to see that u are exposing these horrible guys . Great videos.
Be very careful! Guys like this have "friends." Keep a watchful eye out.
I'm surprised Janek and Honza haven't had any unpleasant experiences with one or more of those 'friends', actually.

Im not even Czech but i feel proud of you guys well done
this is nice thing your teams are doing. Well done!
The work you're doing is so great for Prague, you should get medals!
But please be safe guys!!!
the lack of any action against these scammers operating right outside businesses, and on public cameras, really really smells like they give a percentage to the cops in order to let them keep operating.
Sad truth is the police gets tired of arresting the same people over and over again and seeing them just continue .. Thats how much of this street crap scamming keeps going on . Not enough police ressources to keep them locked up again and again and the officers gets tired of doing much about them because they dont get much punishment anyways at the end of the day
Modern day police don't prevent crimes, they react to them and are understaffed as well
I wonder about the actual businesses they operate in front of, surely they know the score.
I love what you're doing, but I can just imagine that one day soon, some of these guys are going to have so much animosity toward you that they'll put a target on your back.
Just imagine that Raccoon, raging at home, contacting his cousins in Prague to "Deal" with his new-found nemesis.
These people are just low-life scumbags, not the Corleone family
I doubt this guy knows anyone who could kill time successfully.
