Its no problem saying that you are a fan boy, i am a fan boy of Tom as i can identity with him more. I think he will get on the podium or maybe the win as its a heavy competition and people like Mitch might struggle a bit but he always surprises me so never count him out. Licis doesn't know what his body is capable of as he is still recovering so we don't know what he can do. Kieliszkowski is also going in blind and we dont know what he is capable of. The main problem for Tom will be Thor as he is looking insanely strong and more mobile than he used to be. Strangely he looks younger looking at his recent videos, the time of has definitely been good for him. So Tom no1, Thor no2 and Mitch or Licis for no3. I am a Tom fan boy and not ashamed to say that, it is enjoyable watching him lift and also how he is with the fan and remember a few years ago he wouldn't be able to be in an arena with all of thoae people,his autism would have given him great anxiety and to conquer that and be a 2 time world strongest man at his age is just outstanding. He is no longer under the shadow of Luke and he has come out of his shell, i just love watching the both of them to be honest.
Tom knows his game and how to build his legacy. ASC is great, but he’s focused on prioritizing WSM and accumulate the most titles he can. See it this way: we all know Zydrunas got 4 WSM, 8 Arnolds, and some IFSA. But it’s never game over about who’s the GOAT, cause Mariusz won 5 WSM, and even with 0 Arnolds, he’s always on the debate.
Its funny to say but during pregnancy, a females hormones will affect the males hormones by reducing testosterone. Most likely a natural event to keep the male from looking elsewhere for other mates during the pregnancy. He will now benefit from that return of testosterone now the kid is born, and perhaps a theoretical increase from baseline due to needing to protect during the most vital phase of mother/child vulnerability.

Strongest Man on Earth… after the events were done, Luke had just gotten out of the Ice bath, I walked over to him, we had a deep conversation on PTSD and mental health. I maaaay have gotten almost emotional. He gave me his competition shirt and a big hug! Then after that, walked over to Tom before he stepped out for the meet and greet, and gave him a huge hug where he then spilt his energy drink on me. The two brothers have saved lives and made my days personally, brighter and more eventful knowing people/ brothers/ athletes like this are out there. Truly love ya both. Never forget that weekend! ✌🏼🌶️💪🏼

When Tom is talking about stuff he knows he is on 100mph chatty, I think it shows his brain works really quick with stuff he has already leaned, maybe its only new stuff that he has any weakness to? so as long as he can familiarise himself he may never loose

Exactly what I was coming to say. However, yes, these weights were heavier than the actual Dinnie Stones. But, it's not so much the weight that the athletes usually struggle with. Rather, it's the awkward shape of the stones and the different handles on the stones that mess most people up. Looking forward to seeing how Tom does in competition!

For that warmup using the safety squat bar, just a suggestion. Might be an idea to put the j hooks on the inside so when you pull against the bar it gets stopped by the rack?
I wish I could come there for two weeks and help you train and eat just be like a helper no pay just be among greatness. Set up your gear and cook for you guys. Im 38 and ever since I was a kid I’d watch strongman with my dad. It’s a sport that deserves so much more attention from the world and much much more money in prizes and cash. It’s really not if you have the mobility and stability to do it. My guess is they use it because disadvantaged variations allow you to get a good stimulus with less weight (thus less CNS fatigue)b given how much heavy training they do.
Really curious about those isometrics Luke was doing, where it's like he's holding a dumbbell fly at the bottom, the exercise where Tom was messing with him lol I've done them a few times and they feel really good, but I've literally never seen anyone else do them. What purpose do they serve in your training, if you don't mind me asking? Great video guys and congrats Luke!
