I wanna see reviews of the new CB650R with e-clutch, the GSX-8R, the Daytona 660 (would have preferred the street triple's engine but whatever, fight me) and the rumored CFMoto sport bike based on their 800 platform.
Basically, middle-weight sport bikes that don't make my 38 year old knees and back want to cry.
I really enjoyed this video - it wasn't just a list of the latest, fastest mega bikes - it was bikes that made you enjoy motorcycling. Respect.
Harley announced a substantial price drop on the Nightster 975 for 2024. New price is around $12k I think.

The tank wings on the V100 most certainly do "do something" - it's just that you haven't ridden the V100 in really cold weather, I guess! They help a lot keeping cold air off your thighs. Great videos, Spite - keep it up.
Yes they do. It protects the rider and boy does it help. I’ve ridden one and loved it, if I ever sell my Caponord imma buy one

Love your comments on bikes. Very informative. I currently ride a 2016 Triumph Trophy (great bike) but am looking for something a bit less top heavy.
I agree the Moto Guzzi V100 is a wonderful motorcycle. I liked it so much that I bought one.
If Yamaha were to start making the MT-01 again and import them into the USA I might consider buying that next year.

@@spitescorner I’m gonna invite Dork on the road and Jake and Whitney and shade tree surgeon as well. Basically it’s a 100 mile mini moto/hooligan ride where we take 2 ferry’s from and back to Seattle to the Pacific Northwest countryside for a day of traffic free back road blasting. Last year was 304 bikes. I’ll send you an email with more details. Been a fan for years now and I’m so stoked to see your own channel flourish now is awesome!

Good list Spite :) Bought a V100S but I have to disagree with your recommendation to not get the S version. The semi-active Ohlins make a huge difference.
Guzzi Stelvio looks nice.
What is your usual course of action when you are far from home and your bike breaks down? Taking a trip to Shreveport on Feb 1st and looking for ideas. Just in case my baby goes down

Hi Spite, could you check out if its available in your area. The Fantic Caballero 700? I had never heard of them, but another Italian/Chinese hybrid with an MT-07 motor. Beautiful styling. I just saw a couple of shops here, near Portland, OR had the brand for sale. When I can, I will going to see one in real life. After your CFMoto review, I thought this was very interesting.

My top 3, Yamaha Tracer 9gt+, Suzuki GSX8R, RE Himalayan 450.
The new pikes peak is the reason the older 1200s is selling for bank. I have an Aprilia Caponord 1200 and I’ve ridden the Ducati multistrada 1200s pikes peak og. And woah. Multi is a canyon killer and the capo is a highway killer. But a great big vtwin is awesome
Good stuff. I rode the Nightster S at a demo day as well, and I have to agree with you 100%. It truly is a fantastic bike.....for about $11k. It's an atrocious bike at $15k.
Harley just announced a price drop. New price is around $12k.
@@artvertex4152 I saw that. Better, but the Special is still wildly overpriced, even with the price drop. Though to be fair, they're at least in the right ballpark now.
The V100 is pretty sweet and would be awesome if there was a modern Griso.

What about subscription features for the LiveWire?
I hate the Surron and any other Emoto in that category. It isn't that they're bad products...it's a huge portion of people who ride them in urban environments. They speed through the bike lanes, disregard traffic rules, and then can claim they are on something comparable to an Ebike which let's them circumvent rules governing the rest of who who have to be plated, carry insurance, etc.
Yeah that's a huge problem with them operating in a legal grey area. I absolutely love Emotos off road though. They're so much fun.
To be fair with this argument you should hate car drivers. At least where I live. They all do 15 over the speed limit while on their phones. That seems like a perfect reason to hate cars more than E-motos and their riders.
The Surron imo tends more towards ebike than emoto when it comes to the actual parts it comes with. Capability-wise sure. Legally they fall under the moped category here and need to be plated/insured /have lighting and mirrors, to be allowed to function on roads.
MG stelvio for me, the mandelo was my first pick for 2023
I'm genuinely curious, why the Stelvio over the Mandello?
@@spitescorner don't fancy the electronic suspension, just see the ailerons as a point of failure, and Stelvio will allow for offroading a bit more. Also the gearbox (shifter) "clunckyness" seems to be taken care on stelvio. But would be happy with a Mandelo!!! Maybe some good opportunities in second hand market coming up!

You listed the bikes you got in 2023. What happened to the Moto Guzzi? Anyway I got a new Mandello this year I was kind of surprised to see it picked at #1 but not really. Great bike just a brand that doesn't get much love.
It's nice but I don't think it's top 5 worthy. Top 10 for sure.

Wait a year to a year and half and pick up a Nightster used for like 10K. Let the original owner take the depreciation when he trades up for a Glide. See if you can get Craig from the bearded Mechanic to help out with all those carbs. He's good at it!

Another sticking point in addition is DOT vs ECE helmet standards. I live in Canada and only buy ECE rated helmets as I don’t trust DOT only certified helmets. Sadly Schuberth North America has chosen to only sell DOT only certified helmets instead of having both standards like other manufacturers

Kawasaki’s 400RR, c’mon man 😁 very courageous for Kawasaki to build, and it’s amazing.
I haven't ridden that one, this was of bikes I've ridden.
Out of the bunch, the two that interest me are the V100 and the 800NK. I have a CFMoto 700 CL/X which I really like, 4200 miles on it last year, no problems. My only issue is that it's apparently impossible to get a service manual for it. I bought it thinking I'd be able to at least find a PDF on the web somewhere but so far nothing. I would totally buy a CFMoto again for the machine itself, but I wouldn't buy one unless I could get a service manual. If I can't get one before it hits valve intervals I suppose I'll just be calling the dealer and asking for valve and torque specs.
I'm pretty sure the service manual just says "See Duke 790 Service Manual"
@@spitescorner Yeah if it comes down to it, I guess I'll use valve clearance and torque specs from the Z650 for my 700 CL/X.
you bought it new or used? if new, aren't all new bikes comes with its own warranty booklet and owner's/service manual? @@John_Ridley
@@9LB.hammer Owner's manual, sure. I've never gotten ANY new vehicle that came with a service manual. They're typically 400 to 600 pages and I expect to pay $75 to $120 for them.
@@John_Ridley got it. I misunderstood what you were saying. Got too lazy and reliant on dealership for my PMS I forgot that there's a different set of book for service that explains everything up to the tiniest of screws. Yeah that sucks. I remembered refreshing a 1988 VFR400 NC24 a few years back and finding a service manual that is translated to english was next to impossible.
MT-01 is definitely the best one yet!
Only 1 Japanese manufacturer & a bunch of electric & V configuration motors? Somebody has a torque fetish & I wholeheartedly approve.
And I can't fault the choice of the 800NK either. We're lucky enough to get both the Sport & Advanced, with it's ridiculous tablet size dash, while undercutting the new Honda Hornet & Suzuki GSX-8S by a significant chunk of change. And with used 2018-2019 Duke 790's being only $2-3k less than the 800NK sport here in Australia you'd be crazy, or seriously in love with orange, not to buy new.

I think my indian chieftain is the best. Idgaf what anyone else says. This stock exhaust is honestly the only exhaust that i like stock. A while ago, spite said you should pick the bike where you like the stock exhaust. Well i got one, indian chieftain.

450 miles of absolute thrashing during the break in.
They cut the battery of the Livewire in about half. That explains a lot of the price drop. Too much for what you get, but a beautiful machine.
If CFMoto makes all those KTM parts reliable, it will say a lot about KTM. Not good things...
Love that the CFMoto 800NK is number 1! I love that bike to DEATH. Way better than getting a duke 790 or 890 in my opinion. Less worries about reliability!
