Arnold in the Terminator was on the American Film Institute's 50 Greatest Movie Villains list. His terminator is on their 50 Greatest Movie Heroes list for this film. He is the only actor on both lists.
Wow that is an interesting fact! Very cool and thanks for sharing it.
When Arnold says, "come with me if you want to live", it is the same line Kyle Reese first said to her in Terminator 1.
Funny that, because john must have programmed it to say that so sarah would trust it... but the terminator still tried to make john not go rescue her anyway
@@lukemcniven4131 yes because Sarah is "disposable". John isn't.
@@WarlockHolmes420 Not "disposable", just "not a priority".
Pop Culture in America
27:23 they know the bullets won't harm the T-1000, but they will slow him down. it's a stall tactic to give them time to get away. my brother in-law worked as a security guard in the building where they did the special effects for this film. it was done in Montreal, by ILM (Industrial Light and Magic) back in the 80's and 90's. another great reaction to a classic!
He is also being damaged slightly. By the end, after he is blown up, he comes back together but now has noticeable glitches from all the damage he has sustained.
@@kevinerose i would guess thats mostly from the freezing
@@DWmaniac4n6 Yes, getting blown to a million bits. I'm guessing the bullets would do similar damage only much smaller in scale.
@@kevinerose He may not have been permanently damaged at all. The heat from the environment (solid metal absorbs heat incredibly rapidly) could have temporarily interfered with his runtime. The heat would have been absorbed directly into his processors, causing to slow down to avoid damage, like modern CPUs do.
So maybe he was just 'glitching'. 😉
Listen you weird male ... stop screaming like a little girl and being so emotional.. it looks weird .
The fact that Robert Patrick shoots several magazines without blinking once (as its natural reaction for people) not just shows his dedication as an actor, but also that makes him extra creepy on film. Small things like this make this all time action classic.
And you know it always bothers me about that 🙄🤷♂️ They used the most wimpy quiet sounding gun shot sound effects for his 9mm 😂 it’s like he went through all that training and effort to not blink and it’s cool but then in the movie it just sounds like a silencer anyway so it’s like oh of course he’s not blinking it doesn’t sound loud 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ Lmao
he also use firearms privately, he is no pansy like actors like bruce willis or mel gibson
@@MsDboyy training? it is just a firearms, 50% of people in USA are born with them in hand
Oh yeah, huh?
Being frozen in liquid nitrogen and then thrown into a furnace--THAT is dedication!
Fun fact: the guard in the hospital getting the cup of coffee killed by his look-alike T-1000 is not a film manipulation with one actor. The two facing each other are twin brothers. Don and Dan Stanton. Also appearing in Good Morning Vietnam with very small roles as editors.
Also Linda Hamilton and her twin sister did a few shots as well.
They also used Linda Hamilton's twin for a couple of scenes.
Also… Gremlins 2!!!
@@BKPrice Yes. In the chip removal scene, you have a empty frame as mirror and a symetric set behind
Linda is on the front with a practical head of the terminator and Arnold and Leslie are on the other side, mimicking her sister's movements
Hell is REAL. Repent of your sins and turn to God. He loves you. Believe in his Son Jesus and be saved. UA-cam: 30 Days Touring HELL
I remember watching this in a packed theater in 1991. The movie was mind blowing and believe me, the way you reacted watching T2 was exactly the way the whole theater reacted back in 1991!
Btw, Robert Patrick (who played the T-1000) practiced never blinking while on camera, even when he was firing a gun. That’s one of the reasons why his portrayal was so bone chilling!
Thanks for your amazing reactions. Really enjoying reliving these blasts from the pasts!
I remember watching this in a packed theater in 1991. I was 9. Dad took me and my brother.
Same, and Wayne’s world
When the American Film Institute made a list of 100 greatest movie heroes and villains, the Terminator made it onto both lists. Jody Foster said that he's a compelling hero because "He's the monster who wants to be good."
Fun fact about Robert Patrick running in those scenes, he was a football player, and track field athlete at Bowling Green University. During filming, he actually caught up to John's motorcycle.
The liquid metal terminator killed the cop at the beginning using an arm as a sword.
No, tear gas doesn't normally kill anybody, it just incapacitates them.
The mini gun he used here is the same kind he used in Predator.
Arnold never used the mini gun in predator, his teammates did though. The smirk he gave in this movie was almost saying " my turn, finally"
Fun fact: The movie starts with the song *You Could Be Mine* by *Guns N' Roses* . Arnold (as the T100) then has a gun in the roses... Clever!
I'm ashamed I never thought of that!! Nice.
Maybe a coincidence, but I like it!
Flower boxes have been used to hide guns in many movies over several decades.
Now you must watch "Terminator: The Sarah Connor chronicles" TV series. So cinematic, and so much exceptional storytelling.
I am writing this to help out the loud guys and this video and this channel with the algorithm ✌️❤️😚☺️
@Bobby Boaldin thanks 👍
I can't believe the actor that plays the T-1000 was actually running so fast he kept catching up with the bike on the movie set. Loved the subtle edit you did when the guard licked her face lol
Fun fact ... John Connor's legal guardian (the female) was in Aliens as Vasquez. Yes the same movie where 'Kyle' was also one of the actors.
Actually, they had to reshoot the scene where Robert Patrick was chasing John on the bike several time because he was catching up to the bike too soon.
LETS ROOOOOOCK!!!
She played a bad ass lantina
Edit: she was also in lethal weapon 2
She's also in Titanic as the mother talking to her children while it's sinking. Another James Cameron film.
Great reaction. The first time I saw T-2, my mind did not want to compute the original Terminator being a 'good guy'. 😩😂
Just perfect. A perfect film. How can a film filled with violence tug at your heart at the end? Perfect.
I would love to see them do Waterworld. 😊😊 before the movie Titanic, It was the most expensive movie ever made.
Waterworld is so underrated and the cast is phenomenal
A absolute classic love Brad Fiedel’s score and the cast were amazing.
Sarah was so focused on first seeing Arnold again, her nightmare coming true, that it was hard for her to know her son was there.
The liquid Terminator becoming every face to me was last ditch desperation to see if any one of those forms had an attribute that world let it somehow escape the molten metal.
Да сэр, так и было!
Fun fact: The scene with Sarah Conner and the T-1000 disguised as her, the "fake" Sarah was actually played by Linda Hamilton's twin sister, Leslie.
The T-1000 having it's limbs mimic the floor or handrail is because it suffered so much internal damage that it was beginning to loose it's mimicking properties or integrity. Getting frozen by liquid nitrogen only made it worse.
Thank you for reacting to this great movie. I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I recommend another great James Cameron/Arnold Schwarzenegger movie: True Lies.
YES.....do true lies soon!
Listen you weird male ... stop screaming like a little girl and being so emotional.. it looks weird .
rip To Leslie Hamilton she is also in this movie, she's the identical twin of the main actress Linda Hamilton.. She died of COVID-19 August 2020 I believe in New Jersey , the parts where you see her doubled on the screen is where she was used.. To save on costs for CGI.. This is one of the first films to use CGI like this.. The abyss is another very early cgi movie Great movie also
This is an all time classic, legendary movie, and it was super fun watching you two experience it with as much excitement and awe as we all have! And MAN does it hold up! The practical and special effects are so well integrated with the performances!
T-1000's head splits apart and "..it's like aluminum foil used for packing rotis." bruh, 😂
I didn't think about this til just now, but Miles Dyson's middle name is Bennett which happens to be the name of one of the villains Arnie fights in 'Commando'. He's played by Vernon Wells (who also played Wez in 'The Road Warrior' and Mr. Igoe in 'Innerspace').
14:58 Cocking, not reloading. That lever-action shotgun is a classic Winchester designed by John Browning. It's often identified as a model 1887, but in the commentary to T2: Special Edition, James Cameron mentions that it's a 10-gauge, so it might actually be a model 1901 (but don't quote me on that). I call it "the Mare's Leg Deluxe" in reference to the "Mare's Leg" used by Steve McQueen in 'Wanted: Dead or Alive'. It was specifically modified so Arnie could spin-cock it in the style of John Wayne (as per the original 'True Grit') and Chuck Connors (as per 'The Rifleman') or other Western heroes Arnie and James Cameron's generation grew up with. Also, it's not an ordinary lever-action, but a lever-action rolling block, which is why it loads and ejects through the port on top of the receiver (shells are single-loaded down the top into the magazine tube with the chamber open). That's also why the receiver is so compact.
37:09 Cameron also points out in the commentary that a real 40mm grenade has to rotate seven times in-flight to arm itself. It's a safety feature to ensure that the user doesn't blow themself up.
Your reactions are just a joy to watch; your energy and passion make it a fun experience. I knew you would love T2. I loved it more than the 1st one. I look forward to your reactions.
Thank you so much!!
This movie is full of great reversals!
-The OG Terminator is now a good guy.
-The truck going up in a fireball is at the start of the movie.
-The T-1000 is crippled by cold instead of fire.
And, the piece de resistance, Sarah tries to kill a man for something he hasn't done yet. SHE almost becomes a Terminator herself!
Sarah wasn't just a waitress. In the first film, the Terminator finds her photograph on a college ID.
Best sequel ever. Love from 🇨🇦
There is a very rare group of movies whose sequels can equal or exceed the original and this is definitely one of them.
Fun Fact, The actress who plays Sarah Connor has an identical twin sister who played the role at the end. Very cool.
Never took the time to comment on how much I appreciate the channel. I live in Denmark so I have no Indian friends (not many of you here 🤣) This really feels like we're hanging out with you guys, it's great !👍👍
This is what I enjoy most about reaction channels! I am in America, but on here I get to hang out and have conversations with people from around the world.
I’m also in America and totally know what you’re saying. I love it!!! I get so excited to get out of work everyday and watch my “friends” new videos they upload.
See, there are good things about Denmark! 😁
The internet has its drawbacks, as does everything, but I've been thinking recently that chatting on sites like this is like going to a party where you only know the host. You meet people, you have conversations, maybe only for a few minutes, but it's interesting and worth your time. (Sometimes, you encounter an insufferable jerk, but you can walk away.)
Yeah! We too are blessed to have people from all over the world sharing their passion for movies with us!
The guy on the T-1000...."he's not a machine,he's from the resistance" 😂🤣😂🤣😂
I'd kinda like to see a captured/reprogrammed T-1000 series model! I just wonder how that would be possible too.
The T1000 was malfunctioning at the end because it was frozen. That's why it was having trouble keeping it's shape.(when it's feet were becoming the floor in the steel mill)
Terminator judgement day is masterpiece
Arnold plays the good guy terminator in Terminator 3
I'm from the North of England and I enjoy watching your reactions. Keep them coming.
I watch many reaction videos on UA-cam and yours is one of my favourites.
I'd like to see you react to the Back to the future trilogy.
Also Northern England here
We all had dreams like that on a pretty regular basis back in the 80's early 90s, it was a big deal the Cold War and now it's back I still get dreams like that on occasion...
Loved your reaction to this movie, cool couple and the Lady is a real sweetheart.Looking forward to your next film.
The foster mother(Jenette Goldstein) plays a soldier in Aliens, also directed by James Cameron.
She plays Vasquez.
@@amyjordan195 I wrote in general terms because I didn't recall whether the Loud Guys had reacted to Aliens yet. She was very memorable as Vasquez, and I was impressed to learn that she wasn't Hispanic. One of the things I like about Near Dark is that she, Bill Paxton, and Lance Hendrickson from Aliens are prominent in it.
lmfao, "Why are you running?!"
I just had that meme stuck in my head for the billionth time, yesterday.
Now for Arnold's best work yet - Kindergarten Cop.
James Cameron was in the biker bar. He was the one who threw the pool cue down and was pulled out of the bar. Had a beard.
I find your channel today because of this movie. I like your reaction and I subscribe. Also I'm big fan of Indian films and Govinda and Madhuri are my favorites. Greetings from Germany
Fun fact the actor who plays the T1000 trained so hard that when he's on foot and chases John on the bike he actually catches him, he had to intentionally run slower because he was in such fantastic shape.
Fun fact... I've never said 'STFU' more times to a reactor on my computer screen than I have with this dude. Sadly, he never S's the F U.
@@Mr.Ekshin christ man no one said you had to watch his reactions, go somewhere else with that attitude.
@@omok2 - He ... never... stops... talking.
He screams and rants over a ton of crucial dialogue. I actually want to see the girl's reactions, but sadly she misses half the film because she has this guy screeching and yelling in her ear.
Robert Patrck was a track star in college. He also trained himself to shoot without blinking or flinching. And even when running hard he never opens his mouth to breathe.
Great reaction guys. Loved your laughter, the humor in this movie is so cool. This is my favorite of the series.
Linda Hamilton went through some very intense workouts to build herself up for starring in T-2. I know I am saying this wrong, but her name practically became a verb for people who made huge changes (build strength, lose weight, etc).
Time travel movies are always weird and never perfect. Just a movie. Time travel to the past is theoretically impossible. Suspension of disbelief is required. Just an awesome sequel to a epic movie. Stop now, because all other Terminator movies are cash grabs. Great reaction guys, keep it up. Really enjoying your reactions, thank you.
Well, improbable. All particles in the universe could spontaneously rearrange just by chance to match a point in the past, which would be indistinguishable from time travel. Ridiculously improbable, but if there's no limit on time, it will happen eventually.
Well, yeah. There's that, I guess.
Wow, just found this channel and it's the only Indian, Sikh reaction channel I've ever seen. Great job. Keep the videos coming. I will subscribe.
“Even said ‘hasta la vista baby’… for nothing!” 😂
"John Connor was a dick, no?"
LOL! I love you guys!!!!
After Terminator 2 you must watch "Wayne's World" (1992)
Imagining if there were this terminator in reality we could had used it as security guard , in millitary , as a bodygaurd they could had used in soo many ways but if could had programed for positive things ........
I'm so glad you watched the uncut version of this
Honestly my favorite part of this video is how you wear your glasses, Sir! I've struggled with that myself wearing hats every day, and you, Sir, are a genius! ❤
The fact that he in his last moment gave John a thumbs up to tell John it will be ok we should take the message that even a machine can show us our humanity
A very sweet and heartfelt reaction. 🙂☺
This film has no "fill-scenes", absolutely no "fat" on it. It's pure entertainment in it's best and most engaging form. Not too much violence, just enough. A superb score, funny nods to the original, very good performances and direction - there are maybe just a handful of films from the 80's and 90's where the special effects stood the test of time as good as in Terminator 2. They are absolutely memorable. The script is so good too - the right amount of sci-fi, thriller, horror, drama and humor. A masterclass of efficient, timeless filmmaking.
Imagine this movie but without all the super goofy, cringe, or on the nose elements and that's essentially the theatrical release. That being said all of the ideas contained in those scenes are explored really well in the TV series 'Terminator - The Sarah Connor Chronicles' (it's well worth the watch).
The Sarah Connor Chronicles was incredible. Infinitely better than all the movie sequels after 2.
You two are GREAT!
Please make full length reactions available on Patreon. I have my money ready. 😁✌️
Working on it!
The Turbanator.
I knew you two will love this 90's Gem. Now venture into 80's 90's Great movies. Alien, Aliens, Rambo, Rambo 2, commando, Robocop. Total Recall ect. Ect. I love you guys. Subscribed.
hi loud guys channel, there are six terminator movies in the whole franchise please watch the rest of them because you will enjoy them all.
Fantastic reaction to a classic. Keep them coming guys
Thank you! Will do!
It is cool to see this version with the added scenes.
42:40 That is the only time you will see this in camera. At least in the US. Way dangerous considering up and down draft. But they did it.
One of the reasons why this is the best action film of all time
This is the BEST sequel ever!! One of the only ones that is BETTER than the original....
Fun facts, the 2nd chubby security guard in the mental institution, (who got stabbed in the eye), was his twin brother - so they were both there... Also, the young Sarah, playing with the young John in the park during the nuclear blast, was actually Sarah's, (Linda Hamilton/s), actual twin sister!!!!!
What a great movie and the BEST REVIEW!!!! I felt like we watched it together and reacted together! Thank youfor allowing us toenjoy the movie- AND your excellent commentary and reactions too!
42:48 movie helicopter pilots don’t get enough credit. Flying under an overpass with just a few feet to spare, then pulls up just in time to avoid hitting a pedestrian bridge
Now they would pussy out and do it as CG and it would look totally fake.
Hi reactors 👍🏼 i am from sweden and its north of Denmark i think we in sweden have all Nationalities from the hole world here but not one people from india very strange 👍🏼🇸🇪 i have 1 friend from Norway and hi is born in SRI LANKA but its not india but close 👍🏻❤️🇸🇪❤️🇮🇳❤️🇸🇪❤️I have to say the same you 2are awsome movie reactors ❤️🇮🇳❤️
Hi, so now you have us as your friends!!!
You guys are awesome! So fun to watch movies with enthusiasm.
Sarah doesnt believe john when he screams out of the elevator, because she knows the T-800 can mimic voices.
My all-time favourite movie... I watched this movie while I was back in school. Still, this movie remains a masterpiece. The last scene always makes me sad.🥺❤
You guys should watch the making of this movie. Just to understand how brilliant and creative the crew of this movie was.💥
Loved your reaction. I think you should also do a reaction to the Lord of the Rings films
your channel is great...I hope this channel gets a bunch of subscribers because you deserve it
Wow, thank you!
11:47 Truly the best friend one could ask for.
From the 80 to early 2000s Arnold made some great action movies
Your elation over the semi going off the bridge was hilarious.😲😃😲😃
Loving your reactions! So glad you're watching this so soon after part 1.Thanks you guys👍
Thanks for watching!
Arnold Schwarzenegger told director James Cameron that he would reprise his role in this film under one condition. That he does not kill. Cameron agreed and we got a t-800 who protects. Yes which is also why he doesn't kill any of the bikers in the beginning.
Know what I never thought of before? Nobody IN the movie or WATCHING the movie has ever questioned why this cyborg speaks with a thick Austrian accent-because he’s AH-NOLD!!!
Oh, guys Robert Patrick eyes are still the most scary thing for me, his T 1000 is absolutely iconic.
32:34 Many scientists and nuclear experts at the time this film came out said that the depiction of a Nuclear Blast close-up and the damage it does to the city and the way it kills people were the most accurate that had been seen in any movie up to that point in history. Really makes you think.
Linda Hamilton's twin sister Leslie has her only movie acting credit in this movie. She plays Sarah, with her back to the camera, in the mirror while Linda plays the reflection, facing the camera. And again at the end when the T-1000 is imitating Sarah and the 'real' Sarah walks up in the background.
(Leslie passed away August 22, 2020)
Also, the guard at the vending machine and the T-1000 imitating him are played by twins.
If this was mentioned previously, sorry.
Over 250 comments, TLDR.
When Arnold Schwarzenegger says goodbye to John and shara . He was also saying goodbye to the fans. Arnold had no plans to make a third movie.
I clicked the like button.
hello there nice ract to my fav movie
I grew up with this move recorded on repeat, and it's fascinating to see you guys reac to it, thank you.
Terminator: “Why are your eyes leaking?”
Was fun watching this great movie with you guys =)
I love when Kaursamardeep says "shit".
I don't know why everybody's reacting to the directors cut... TBH, the theatrical cut is the definitive movie.
Kaursa is sooo adorable :) ♥
The scene were Sarah was shooting Sarah that was actually Sarah twin sister in real life
I used to be a police officer, then I took a bullet to the knee.
To the Loud Guys: that's a Skyrim joke if you don't play video games. Love your reactions. Have fun.
It’s too bad nobody ever watches the original theatrical version for some reason everyone always watches the directors cut for Terminator 2
this isnt the directors cut
12:26 those were roses and for a reason
22:09 because the left part of the brain is what makes you able to make a sound
The practical effects in this movie are insanely good, as well as the actual stunts.
These days, they just CGI everything, I mean, look at Terminator Genisys where they had a helicopter chase, and the entire thing was CGI... yet in this movie, they actually had a crazy pilot who flew a chopper under a bridge for close to 100ft, with only 3 feet of clearance above the blades.
10:36 RIP Earl Boen.😢
I love your commentary and you give your wife a lot of respect. I appreciate that. Much love from New Zealand ❤️
Movies just for you! Transformers 2007, The Love Bug 1968, Angry Birds 2016, Pixels 2015, Walking with Dinosaurs The Movie 2013, Rampage 2018, Open Season 2006, Space Jam 1996, Looney Tunes Back in Action 2003, Monster Trucks 2017, Goosebumps 2015, Real Steel 2011 and Gnomeo and Juliet 2011!
Lotsa folks dislike T3 but all of them have seen it, and they should recommend you see it, too. The T3 terminator is pretty great, the tale is fun AND you get to see Dr. Silberman make another fun re-appearance as a psychiatrist, always in the wrong place and the wrong time. He's worth the watch alone.
