Terminator 2 Judgment Day is possibly the greatest sequel and the greatest action film ever made. Its a real shame that Linda Hamilton wasnt nominated for Best Actress
Aliens, Empire Strikes back, Lethal Weapon 2 & Top Gun Maverick were my favourites. T2 fell short of the original because of cock ups & several holes in the story.......
@@GGGritzer No matter what, you have to appreciate the achievements in T2. The use of art direction and set design in this movie is off the chart. Linda Hamiltons performance is unforgettable. Surely, all of these reasons are good enough to put T2 over Lethal Weapon 2...?
@@LukeLovesRose, T2 was well done for SFX & big bangs and excing chases but the story made no sense whatsoever. Now the SFX were outstanding, BUT - The war was WON in the future. All they needed to do was keep Sarah alive & the victory in the future victory over Skynet was secure, nobody else goes back, noone else comes through. After, Connor blew the place. 'We'd won. It was OVER'. NO explanation in the opening narrative about HOW anyone else went back and completely contradicting Kyle's statement that nothing dead will go. Second film completely contradicted SO much that was outlined in the masterpiece original which could have been explained in the first minute of the 2nd. There was also WAY too much mercy in the 2nd. The T1000 had as many as five opportunities to shoot John on sight, but didn't. The original Terminator's CPU being used to design Skynet's schamatics (all my work is based on it) is hogwash & creates a paradox. Sad when sfx & moneymaking replaces storytelling. Enjoyed T2 for its wonderous sfx & big bangs, but as a Terminator film, fell far far short of the original.... Lethal Weapon 2 was not predictable & full of massive goofs. Rock solid sequel.

Yep, feminism turned all men in to sexual predators by virtue of being male. Meanwhile all domestic violence and SA by women is defended and justified by activists and the legal system.
The T-1000 simply said that to let the foster parents know that John wasn’t in any danger and that he just wanted to talk to him so they would cooperate. Back then it meant something more like, “He looks like a good kid” not, “I am attracted to your son.” 😂

So what most people miss about the continuation and circle of history for the series is the fact that the terminators arm is stuck in the gear wheel in the factory and they don't melt it. So even though they believe they change history they actually don't.
Some fun facts - 1. You were nearly right about the interview thing. Robert Patrick (the T1000) was an athlete in school/college and had to run slower than he was capable as he was catching up to the bike in the parking garage scene. 2. James Cameron wanted to have the T-800 fail in the first film and then a T-1000 would be introduced but they didn't have the technology to do it at the time, so he did it in this film instead. 3. At the beginning, we see adult John Connor with a large scar down his cheek. We find out in Terminator: Salvation how that happened. 4. The helicopter flying through the bridge was actually done without CGI. They had one take to get it right due to it being so dangerous. 5. There are three scenes where twins were used. The security guard and his T-1000 clone at the mental hospital, the two Sarahs at the end and the scene where they remove the T-800s CPU, which was done with a fake mirror. The last one was partricularly hard to shoot as Linda Hamilton and her twin Leslie (Who sadly died from COVID a few years ago) had to sychronise their movements perfectly. 6. The end of the world dream scene has been praised by several experts as being one of the most realistic depictions of a nuclear explosion ever. 7. John recognises the fake Sarah by 'her' melting feet. In the special edition of the film, we see a couple of other scenes where it's shown that the T-1000 is glitching due to being blown apart and unintentionally starts taking on the appearance of things it touches.

The theatrical release is great pacing for a first watch but the longer director's cut has some good extra scenes and I like how it shows the T1000 glitching because it actually got damaged by the freezing
20:40 No, I don't think she would die, she's Sarah Connor, remember ? She's the one who taught EVERYTHING to her son ! She's not a weak person that can be killed so easily, she's a fighter ! And a little kid is certainly not stronger than her ! I think Sarah Connor did pretty well to escape that hospital, she could manage her escape by herself, no need for lil' John Connor... Now if you refer to the other Terminator, that's the same : I think she's smart enough to know how not to be killed by that machine !
The final scene in the movie is heartbreaking because it shows the terminator is capable of being so much more when freed from skynet so how many innocent cyborg's did they jjust erase from history.

Great reaction again! Love your personalities and humor. (Sorry, let me translate that to English for you - "humour"). It's so fun to watch with y'all. Stay awesome!
James Cameron intended for the Terminator Saga to END with Terminator 2. The greedy film studios made a bunch of inferior sequels without James Cameron that ruin everything that Sarah, John and Arnold accomplished in Part 2.
You didn't show the T-100 killing Max the dog, but that along with the licking of the face, checking if Sarah is sedated from the drugs (In a pervy way) are the scenes that upset women the most. NOT the killing of all the men in the movie
That upset me the most too. It would never occur to me to get upset about men getting killed in an action movie (unless it was a character I liked). But being put in one of those institutions, deemed insane, powerless, kept sedated, mentally and physically abused, that's nightmare fuel.
This movie has two sets of twins in it. Linda Hamilton's twin sister is in the scene where the playground gets blown away, and the security cop who gets poked in the eye by his twin. The men both had a small part in the movie "Good Morning Viet Nam" with Robin Williams.
I'll drop in my last comment from the premiere here for the algo. "Real dad send off there! Doesn't matter how old they are." Another fun reaction you two! Can't wait for the next one. Cheers.

I know this film inside out - now to see what you both think.
Greetings from Finland!!! Great reaction!!! Starting scene of this movie costed almost as much as the first movie. Linda Hamilton learned to pick up locks and most of the scenes were banned because of national security. She trained with Arnold and got jacked. The nuclear scene was considered most accurate at the time and I heard that FBI was questioning James Cameron because of it. Robert Patrick actually caught Edward Furlong with his dirt bike easily being a former strackstar in his school. Awesome movie and that's from the top of my head what i remembered now.. I mean it's 2. 25am here.. I'd like to see your reactions to Terminator 3 and Terminator Salvation witch is the best sequel after judgement day if you ask me!!! "i'll be back", 😎
It's impressive he was a random kid with no acting experience and in my opinion was one of the best child actors, despite common criticisms, he was a wiseass and yet maintained the childlike mentality that made his version of John Connor the best. In spite of more seasoned actors taking up the role.
Everyone loves the flipping shotgun cocking scenes: Apparently James Cameron also enjoyed watching Chuck Connors as 'The Rifleman' - that was his signature move and can be seen by watching the Rifleman opening title for the series. A favorite from my childhood. (yes - originality is quite rare anymore)
The poker jokes were spot on! Killing Miles Dyson wouldn't stop the future, they had to destroy all his investigation otherwise other person(s) would continue his work. I always wondered what would happen if the T-1000 killed John Connor in front of Arnold. Both their missions would end, and then what? They would look at each other, shrug their shoulders, go sit somewhere and wait for the war to begin or their batteries to run out?
I'm finding out as we watch more movies together that she has spent most of her life not watching films but watching random behind the scenes videos, and cast interviews for movies... that and anime. Haha it hurts my soul ha - G
What’s scary is MIT and carnegie mellon university have contracts with the DOD to develop Claytronics or programable matter like the T-1000. Small simple machines that can network and function as one. They have them pretty small - some the size of marbles, some the size of the head of a pin or a ballpoint on a pen. The goal is to have them the size of molecules. At that point it would function as a liquid like we see in the film. Good night, sweet dreams. 😂
9:08 the Gen Z kids have seen TikTok's or IG clips 90s about movies they've never watched. Their 90s knowledge is like a dictionary with all the words and none of the definitions.
They couldn't use the 1st terminator arm because it was the wrong arm. The first terminator's arm is the right one and the second terminator lost his left arm. Every one who watches the film said the same thing.
I think we both do, I'm not sure I have ever seen it, It's one of those films that I know a lot of moments from but can't recall ever watching, so I will deffo add it to the list!!
Here is the reason why the terminator has an Austrian accent: ua-cam.com/video/kayFrIR-Qfw/v-deo.html&ab_channel=RohonNag It's from the extra material on the Terminator 3 DVD.
Thanks so much for watching, I think I would be up for showing her the 3rd one and maybe the one with Christian Bale. Not sure hah. To continue the Arnie love though I really want to show her True Lies and Kindergarten Cop :)
The third one is not bad, it just lacks Cameron's touch and there are some poor choices made. It, like the others, trades story and character for Summer Blockbuster Explosions. The TV show, on the other hand, returns to the focus to character and dilemma, along with the darker and desperate tone of the first movie. Lena Heady(pre-Queen Cersei) BRINGS it as Sarah, and Summer Glau is excellent as the somewhat untrustworthy protector terminator.
You are both hilarious - please keep doing reactions 😀 - if you like Robert Patrick - creepy terminator - on this you should watch Peacemaker (see The Suicide Squad films first) or the many other films and shows he has been in - intense is the word! great actor though. "Kill him in his d**k" 🤣 I watched this when I was 12 I think maybe earlier - I had a right apple in my throat when he lowers! its a gut wrenching moment.
This one definitely hit me in the feels 20 years ago when I caught it on cable. I was only a year younger than John was in this movie(he’s 10) so when he has to say good bye I cried my eyes out. John was not only losing a friend but a surrogate father.
The surrogate father angle was lost on me when I was younger, but it sure hits hard now. Linda Hamilton gets a lot of fan appreciation for her acting in this one (deserved) , but damn the subtly in how Arnie displays the emerging understanding/connection of and to humanity in this version of a terminator is kind of amazing
@@mayaandgareth Yeah, the novelization implies that he gained a soul when he died which is beautiful. Arnold doesn't get enough credit sometimes, even in his big budget roles. "Uncle Bob" was played masterfully by him. Without Arnie's machine charisma idk if audiences would have reacted the way they were supposed to.
@@mayaandgareth Fun fact you have to watch them in time line order including the tv show as they are interconnected... Eg Dark Fate is Judgment Day part 2....

Great reaction again! Love your personalities and humor. (Sorry, let me translate that to English for you - "humour"). It's so fun to watch with y'all. Stay awesome!
Yaaay, thank-you so much! Our list of movies to watch is just growing at the minute 😂
James Cameron intended for the Terminator Saga to END with Terminator 2. The greedy film studios made a bunch of inferior sequels without James Cameron that ruin everything that Sarah, John and Arnold accomplished in Part 2.
Your love for the battered Terminator at the end broke my heart a little, that was such a fun vid.
I am the worst for getting attached to characters 🥲 - M
"That looked uncomfortably real". Probably, because for the most part it was real and rather uncomfortable for the stuntman.
You didn't show the T-100 killing Max the dog, but that along with the licking of the face, checking if Sarah is sedated from the drugs (In a pervy way) are the scenes that upset women the most. NOT the killing of all the men in the movie
That's not a surprise, women only complain about women suffering and not men. Female in group preference.
To be fair, they appear to be watching the theatrical version, which does not include the scene of Max's death.
That upset me the most too.
It would never occur to me to get upset about men getting killed in an action movie (unless it was a character I liked). But being put in one of those institutions, deemed insane, powerless, kept sedated, mentally and physically abused, that's nightmare fuel.
Sarah had every right to blow that company sky high for the damages they did to her...
You two make me laugh. Thank you for making my day better.
We're glad you enjoyed! ☺ (and thank-youuu for watching)
This movie has two sets of twins in it. Linda Hamilton's twin sister is in the scene where the playground gets blown away, and the security cop who gets poked in the eye by his twin. The men both had a small part in the movie "Good Morning Viet Nam" with Robin Williams.
I forgot about Linda Hamilton's sister that's so right!!! :)
Best movie ever, I love machines.
I'll drop in my last comment from the premiere here for the algo.
"Real dad send off there! Doesn't matter how old they are."
Another fun reaction you two! Can't wait for the next one. Cheers.
Thank-you so much! ☺
@@mayaandgareth Leslie Hamilton Gearren was an actress who appeared as a double for Linda Hamilton in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991). She died in 2020 from COVID-19 complications and was the twin sister of Linda Hamilton.
16:45 the dad joke and the daughters reaction right after 😂
My interest in reactions gives the algorithm blessing in suggesting new channels. I'll check you guys out. I tend to get tired when some established channel creators change their presentations to FAKE reactions with some really bad over acting. Good luck you two. I know this film inside out - now to see what you both think.
Michael J. Fox doppelganger.
Ha so it's not just me thinking it
I loved watching Maya, more than that stroll down memory lane. ....She's so pretty!!!!!!!!
They would look at each other, shrug their shoulders, go sit somewhere and wait for the war to begin or their batteries to run out?
i love she knows about the Robert Patrick running too fast part. Not seen the movie, but saw everything related to it.
I'm finding out as we watch more movies together that she has spent most of her life not watching films but watching random behind the scenes videos, and cast interviews for movies... that and anime.
Haha it hurts my soul ha - G
I still can't believe she's your daughter
What’s scary is MIT and carnegie mellon university have contracts with the DOD to develop Claytronics or programable matter like the T-1000. Small simple machines that can network and function as one. They have them pretty small - some the size of marbles, some the size of the head of a pin or a ballpoint on a pen. The goal is to have them the size of molecules. At that point it would function as a liquid like we see in the film.
Good night, sweet dreams. 😂
Robert Patrick is the GOAT.
the Arnie booty sympathy def carries on with this one, we love that T800 :D
19:17 That run wasn't weird, he was covering Sarah and John.
That is very true, he was protecting them... by doing a weird sassy run :)
9:08 the Gen Z kids have seen TikTok's or IG clips 90s about movies they've never watched. Their 90s knowledge is like a dictionary with all the words and none of the definitions.
08:53 - did you recognise the guy with the camera? he's the policeman who the first terminator knocked unconscious, hence the look of recognition.
I know a movie you both will injoy it stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Emilia Clarke and Jason Clarke Terminator Genisys 2015.
Epic film, and a great reaction! :)
Sharkboy and Lavagirl please
Thanks
Why? That's a kiddie film.
Great movie
They couldn't use the 1st terminator arm because it was the wrong arm. The first terminator's arm is the right one and the second terminator lost his left arm. Every one who watches the film said the same thing.
Liquid Nitrogen is way colder than dry ice (which is CO²)
Wayne's World! Excellent!
From 28:09 - "....extremely dangerous...!"
She needs to see Silence of the lambs.
I think we both do, I'm not sure I have ever seen it, It's one of those films that I know a lot of moments from but can't recall ever watching, so I will deffo add it to the list!!
So that shotgun that the terminator has
Is a Norinco reproduction off of the winchester 1887 lever action
Here is the reason why the terminator has an Austrian accent:

It's from the extra material on the Terminator 3 DVD.
Haha never saw this before... Will show Maya after we watch the film :)
Wow Marty McFly sounds like the Terminator 😂.
Вам нужно было смотреть Special Edition😊
This is the first time cgi morphing was used in a movie.
Good reaction you two like always Maya is so damn beautiful. Now yall need to react to Predator 1 & 2 those movies would blow Maya mind.
THank-you so much and they are on the list already ☺
arnold has zoom lens for eyes
@36:30ish... "You still got one eyebrow. Your gonna be fine!" =X-D
Great reaction! You planning to continue with the others?
Thanks so much for watching, I think I would be up for showing her the 3rd one and maybe the one with Christian Bale. Not sure hah. To continue the Arnie love though I really want to show her True Lies and Kindergarten Cop :)
@@mayaandgareth i think you should show her 3 and 4 and stop right there, because after those it goes to shit in my opinion.
@@alevelazco10yeah those two at least have interesting ideas, did you ever watch the Sarah Connor chronicles??? Was actually really good
@@mayaandgareth only watch a couple episodes, it was ok
@@mayaandgareth this one is the perfect terminator movie in my opinion
The second film is a better film. But I enjoy the first one the best. I like the horror aspect of it
Liquid nitrogen does not make dry ice it's much colder🙂
if you havent seen it yet they had many that looked just like arnold
24:10 You are gonna f*ck the terminator? LMFAO
Dry ice: solid CO2 #NitPick btw, only recently learned about chopper under bridge practical effect.
Yeaaaah of course, I wasn't sure when I said it, my chem teacher would be disappointed in me :)
Honestly, after this I wouldn't bother with any of the other movies, if you need more try the Sarah Connor Chronicles TV series.
Absolutely agree with you. The TV series is one that I highly recommend as well. Summer Glau was such a cool choice as the primary terminator.
"Kill him in his d**k" 🤣
I watched this when I was 12 I think maybe earlier - I had a right apple in my throat when he lowers! its a gut wrenching moment.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees. 👍
She will get him back. You will see

Was it worth it?
@@poolhall9632 Thought and prayers.
One of the first movies to use CGI
Use it effectively for sure.
THE GUY WHO PLAYED DYSON WAS AWESOME IN THE EUREKA SERIES
Yessssss
Hope you enjoy! hehe :)) - M
@@mayaandgareth Fun fact you have to watch them in time line order including the tv show as they are interconnected...
Eg Dark Fate is Judgment Day part 2....
Sarah speaking Spanish says i think "the day has come" as esta means day. Esta sa qui
Pretty sure she says "estas aqui?" Which means "are you here?" Which makes sense because....she's asking are you here?? Spanish wife can confirm...also the blue ray subtitles ;)
You should watch the version with the original color grading. They fucked this picture by contrast
Did you see Robocop?
Yeah I have, could be a good one to show her :)
