I read some where in a magazine where John Entwistle considered himself a "lead guitarist" only he is playing an octave lower!!!!!😃😄😃😄😃🙂🙂😁 John is hitting it of the ball Park with this performance!!!!!😊☺️😊😄😃🙂👍👍👍👍🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶😜
I for one love hearing more Thunderfingers and its HIS band so they can play however they want since thats what he wanted. Love watching a master at work.
Excellent comment! 😂 As Entwistle indeed was among the best Rock & Roll bass players (be it in the Who, solo, or otherwise), agree anyhow & also don't wish to argue with you about him, I gladly acquiesce. RIP John Entwistle
I'm sorry if I didn't keep duologue with you guys 😎 but the who's music changed my life like many other bands from the sixties which really inspired me very deeply I grew up in the 80's I never really knew anybody who never liked them because they're underrated and I know they where never recognized as a great band, but the 80's is just the 80's for saying that because kids in my generation oh my generation 😎😲😀❤️🌄 was a generation where people that likes the new Wave at the he time I felt alone I'm happy to say there are people that love them even to this very day it blows me away how they are old but still kicking it the young generation who are tributes to them are going to make sure classic rock will never go down with these old people there music will live forever Long live rock the whoooo!!!!!
First they started "Shakin All Over"way too fast, then they went to this musical acrobatic trainwreck that made it worse. Then the whole groove just got lost on the shuffle.Sometimes LESS IS MORE.
At last somebody that hears him for the average mince that he plays. His choice of notes played on his left hand is the kind of blocks I played as a teenager, speed and noise to cover lack of skill with the left hand, laughable by todays standards of bass player 👎
WOW!! As much as I loved the Who and John, this is dreadful. Notice the audience is half asleep?? The big problem is the drummer and guitar player. These guys are off in space somewhere and not listening to the other musicians It's just noise and not music. So sad.
I love John, but this is rubbish. John is technically brilliant as always, but the songs aren't well written and the drummer and guitarist while technically proficient aren't playing for the song, they are playing for themselves.

Heck Yeah!! That's definitely the way to put it!!
I don't think he's even human. Truly a machine...

no bass player in history is as fast and good and John, never will be..Geddy Lee is one of my favorites too.
He was good but there was better...too much hype
Fenomenaal
"8 strings, twice as many strings, twice as loud!"
Like this interpretation. I heard one by Cheap Trick with Alex Harvey singing. That was similarly 'adapted'. Enjoyed them both
What about the WHOS version
"Godfrey? This is where you play your solo so I can have my cigarette." LOL JOHN
CLASSIC!!
John entwistle is the man on bass he's the best don't argue with me about him

His style is soooo unique and aggressive!!!! It fills up the sound!!!! His bass sound is a huge wall of heavy Rock n Roll!!!!🙂😃😄😃😄😊☺️😊😄😁🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵

Wrong good but no cigar
Theres bass players and bass guitarists....John was both...
Link Ray
superb!
show off
I mourn over his death it was terrible!
Where was this recorded?
Woodstock '99, I think.
Love the video, but in the early going the drummers tempo sounded like a runaway train. Like fingernails on a chalkboard for a drummer;)
Way too fast. This needs the slower pace of the Johnny Kidd original that the young members of Detour/Who grew up with.

True.
Yet those are who he wanted in his band and I'm sure he's a better judge of talent than you.
look at me i am wonderful .. not
