I followed this link and felt right at home. I'm not sure what it's called on that side of the pond, but over here it's called "surf music". Think of Dick Dale, the Beach Boys, Ventures, Jan & Dean, etc. A couple of which I was lucky enough to see live. There are still several local groups that play this style. Tiki Tones is one. If you ever find yourself in SoCal look 'em up. Or see if you can catch Los Straitjackets on tour. They put on a fun show. I grew up in Orange County, CA and had a lot of friends who surfed. Funnily enough, I never knew a surfer that liked it. They were all in to Black Sabbath, Iron Butterfly, etc. Back then, Disneyland still had ride tickets (A-E) and a separate general admission of USD $2.75. My youth included seeing groups like Jan & Dean, Beach Boys, Buddy Rich, Jackson 5, even Count Basie.
mike you have the voice of a proper stage actor dont know about resonant head , but resonant voice too right . great teaching, great broadcasting , [ the who used to do this song in the late 60s early 70s ] ,to me it is a perfect song ,and has all the ingredients of a great rock n roll song lovely stuff mike

For the mad show-offs, simply diddle every non-accented hit. This is mostly to make Mike shake his head and chuckle.
