I know i am very late but he actually have videos and audio to pair with these books that are free (mostly). When you use the audio and the video its very helpful. I have the books and i love them.
I have the blue book (volume 1) and have enjoyed it. It's a great book for one who wants pure grammar drills and reference. I wouldn't recommend it for a beginner but it's useful when you later want to focus on specific grammar points. A nice supplementary addition to a Korean learner's bookshelf.
Very helpful review. Have to agree that the bitesize format can be a little offputting for complete beginners. I think it's a great format for revision but otherwise a more detailed approach is preferable. To me, nothing beats Korean Grammar in Use by Darakwon which groups grammar points according to their function and offers comparisons between commonly confused grammars. A must have book imo.
id like to see what you thought about ttmik's audio course "situation dialogues in korean" and maybe also their book "real life korean conversations: intermediate " im using those right now along with go billys "korean made simple" books as a main (:
there's also mp3 files that you can use for free here soundcloud.com/songwonkorean for volume 1, and here for volume 2 audioclip.naver.com/channels/1440
I've had the blue book for a few years now I think. I'd done TTMIK lessons before I bought it so I wasn't a beginner at all. I did find that there was barely any explanations and if I was a beginner using this book then I would be confused so I definitely don't recommend it for beginners. Instead of writing in the book due to little space, I wrote lessons from it out on paper.
I also have the same kind of book “English grammer in use” for studying English. It looks like your English is in good communication with the native. 😮‼️ I am studying English (this is using a translator). So I want to know how you learned a English other than your native English ! 👀 Can you give me a one-step video on how to study your English❓🙇♀️
I am an native speaker and I agree with you. I thought she was a native speaker until I read your comment. 😅She barely has an accent and sound as if she is from the midwest or the west coast of America.
Interesting! I was looking into textbooks today but I'm looking for ones with lots of exercises to really practice, and coming back to words is really important. Have you done app reviews? Duolingo I found really unhelpful, but I'm currently using Memrise and I'm loving it
xD your still alive! It's been so long sinds you actually uploaded korean learning videos :( except for the one of two weeks ago. xD really its been 6 months lol.
Lol! Yes! Integrated Korean doesnt have the answers. Leaves me second guessing myself. Granted i can go on hello talk or hi tative to get homework checked but... all the time though?
Thank you for reviewing my book! I will do my best to make it better. :)
Song Won do you conduct skype classes?
