    The one perk about learning Korean is that it is the easiest of the top 3. Unlike Chinese and Japanese (who seem to love doubling down on their cryptic difficulty,) Korean has evolved with the times and has become much more simplified and palatable over the decades. This is why Foreign K-Pop stars can essentially become fluent in less than 4 months.

      I don’t really think the other 2 languages are that hard, because I have been studying them both and trust me they’re not.. you just have to realize it.

    Ive stopped learning korean for almost 3 yrs now because i was too busy and lazy to learn so i mostly forgot about the grammars and vocabs but ofc it is not all gone since i watch korean content everyday lol, im motivated to learn again so goodluck to me ig

    As a Korean American, I can totally relate. I wish I learned more Korean when I was younger. I just learned the other day that there are different counters for different things! 🤯 Why so complicated lol

    this honestly was super helpful. i was always fascinated by Asian culture growing up. i ended up in a city that's highly Korean populated, as well as Korean sounding beautiful. this video was super helpful honestly! i also struggle with sounding more Korean with my words. i always want to say it how an American or southern person would say it, but this was helpful def!

    Oh, I am very happy. Because I am Azerbaijani people and I want to learn korean language. And I saw you. You watch Family by Choice. Yes I am sure. This is very nice kdrama but people say Go ahead is nicer than korean(kdrama) version. Family by Choice is korean version of Go ahead. I am kdrama lover

    2:41 Yes! It took me like- a day or so and I was capable of writing and reading out the alphabet by sound! :D
    I practiced with Kpop idol names since it was easy to find the "translation" and the way it sounds doesn't really change ^^
    It was very useful :3

    Girl i feel you my mom burned in Russia and she came ti greece when she was in 7th grade i think and my dad bourned in Georgia and come at 4 yo in greece and so my mom is fluent at russian and greek and my dad it's fluent at greek and a mix language like halp Turkish something like that and my mom stoped learning me russian at a young age so now(I'm still young)i have to teach myself russian bc i want to learn a lot languages

    Kdrama breakdowns can be very useful, some will point out puns and other word play. In Love Next Door there was a pun on Apple/Apology that I found to be helpful, as I just knew that the word for apple unaware that it was also apology.

      Duolingo has a whole section on Hangeul! I learned Hangeul on there within like a day, it's seriously so much easier than it looks. It teaches you how to write the letters and how to pronounce them (:

    my mom is Mexican but she grow up in the USA and learned English from there but my dad lived in Korea till he was 6 and got adopt by white people and learned English and now he only knows English but my mom knows Spanish and English so they both spoke in English to me and I never learned Spanish or Korean

      I haven’t used it in a while but it’s a pretty good and immersive app, obviously limited cuz of membership but otherwise I think it’s a great app to use to study pronunciation

    i am white"ish" American. the only "TV" i watch except for a few exceptions are Korean dramas. I "hear" in Korean but read the English subtitles. If i learn Korean, will the Korean dramas lose their charm? or is the reparte as good in spoken Korean as it is in written English? Thanks! i am thinking i should know more Korean than Sarañea, Biena and Kaja. ;-)

    I can read hangul now but I always end up romanizing it in my head before spitting it out. Is that really wrong?

      In real life practicing it may take more time for you to find the sound of a word you don’t know because you have to make the connection between the Korean syllable and its romanization, but it’s not wrong and with time and practice I don’t think there will be much difference.
