I remember taking my mom's tape recorder and putting in a blank tape , and setting it up by the tv speakers and recorded the Oliiva Newton-John tv special. I was 11 yesrs old at the time. I thought I had a piece of gold in my hands when the show was over!
Love you Liv , rest peacefully sweet Angel. ❤

@@coolcal19 Anything can be forgiven BEFORE death. Maybe she repented at the end, but we don't see evidence of that. She traded her wholesome image for the image of a tramp and kept promoting "Physical" for the rest of her life rather than regretting it and making amends. Think of the millions and millions of people she helped lead into sin. I think that her good-gone-bad role in Grease was a foreshadowing of her musical career.

@@KUKUMAIL For me there are three things that make Olivia's vocals peerless. (1) Her annunciation of the lyrics is crystal clear, (2) she is pitch-perfect, and (3) Olivia's vocals define femininity. Compare Olivia to any other woman singer past or present and I think, looking through this lens, you will realize just how much better Olivia is in one, two or all three of these perspectives. You hit the nail on the head when you mentioned ONJ’s class. This, IMO, is what sets her head and shoulders above so many others of her time and above virtually all entertainers of today. I mean, really, would the word class or classy ever come to mind when describing any famous person under 40 at this present time? Nope. Olivia being very inclusive in this video from 1982, had not really thought about it in all my years of watching because such things have never been an issue to myself. The way in which she looks so natural dancing with the guy on the dancefloor at the end is everything! The guy on keyboards always makes me smile - lol... Still a catchy song and great production values, as usual, with the amazing John Farrar.

People, in general and most of the time, have been very inclusive since the early 1970s or even before that.

I wanted to BE Olivia Newton-John when I was a little girl! I remember being so excited to see Xanadu when it came out in the theater! I spent the summer of 1980 in roller skates!! Such a great time in life! 🛼❤🧡💛💚💙💜🛼

like other young males who grew up in the '70s, I had a heavy crush on ONJ. saw the movie Grease 12 times in the theater, and don't get me started on Xanadu, two for the price of one. first and foremost, my favorite girl ONJ and my favorite band ELO as her back-up! missing you Olivia and still loving you. 🥰😢💔

I really wish they could put the TV Special of Physical on dvd.....does anyone remember this? She talked on there and did little bits, like with her horse Judge.....and saying at the beginning; " If you have any preconceived ideas about me, or the 80s, you had better hold onto your hats!"
Please release the Physical TV Special! Please....huge Livvy fan here! ⚘⚘⚘

I can tell you got plans for me
And your eyes are saying you made them carefully
But tonight I have to say there just might be another way (I can't wait to)
Won't you spare me all the charms and take me in your arms
    I can't wait, I can't wait
I'm the one you want, that's all I want to be
So, come on baby make a move on me
Got nowhere to go, all my time is free
So, come on baby make a move on me tonight
    I can't wait (I can't wait)
    I can't wait (I can't wait)
You made the prettiest speech I've heard
But a single touch surely is worth a thousand words
To a heart that's open wide and from the start was on your side (I can't wait to)
Won't you spare me all the charms and take me in your arms
    I can't wait, I can't wait
I'm the one you want, that's all I want to be
So, come on baby make a move on me
Got nowhere to go, all my time is free
So, come on baby make a move on me tonight
    I can't wait (I can't wait)
    I can't wait (I can't wait)
I'm the one you want, that's all I want to be
So, come on baby make a move on me
Got nowhere to go, all my time is free
So, come on baby make a move on me tonight
    I can't wait (I can't wait)
    I can't wait (I can't wait)

I was 11 when this came out in 1981. I barely remember the song until I heard it on XM radio 80's on 8 weekend countdown. I then watched the video on UA-cam and liked the energy of the band and audience.there were two separate videos with the same crowd one sitting and this one dancing. Olivia's music will live on forever.
