How we loved them in the 1970’s. Most young ppl today have no idea how much fun we had dancing and listening to Abba. We really lived emotionally through their music in a way.
Elise Walker 'complemented' actually. Common spelling mistake. Like 'stationary' and 'stationery'. I think Abba surprised even themselves. The two ladies were originally backing singers for Benny and Björn, in 1970. Apart from Agnetha, they were touching thirty-years-old when they sprung 'Waterloo' on the Anglosphere in '74. In those intervening years, their persistence ultimately paid dividends: how excited they must have been to figure out that although English was not their native language, they could still make a huge impact. They worked out their sound.

@@elieluska6409 Songs of ABBA are truly timeless and will always be remembered. 👌👌👍👍🙏🙏
agree my friend
@@RickDanner Thanks. 👌👌👍👍🙏🙏
Benny and Bjorn don't get nearly enough credit for their role in ABBA's one of a kind sound. Their arrangements were god tier.
Tengo la impresión que Benny y Bjorn son los que se quedan con la tajada del león, 3:22
They also wrote everything, so like that's quite significant
Capital G for God
And also sang harmonies in most of the songs.
Benny Andersson and Björn Ulveus wrote everything.. they are not at all discredited worldwide!
What are you taking about?
Gigante ABBA, amo ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
ABBA ... Thank YOU for the music ... I cannot imagine the history of music without your contribution ... you are ageless, timeless and immortal ... just as it should be .... if you agree ... like this post.
Boomers are better! F millenials!
Dear David ... dear David ... our hand is upon chest in silence only for good reasons !!!
Brahma, Abba is amazing and for their Holy Existence I shall spare you from utter destruction.
You have to go ruining a beautiful comment by asking people to like it.
I can
The way the light catches their flowing locks, the soft focus, the sadness in their eyes. The girls tear me up, too.
....but it passed 'Will Pack' by?
I agree.
Agnetha is still a pretty lady..
Haha!
Martin Hugh Henley yeah that was a break up song.
Pure talent. The best band in the history as far as I am concerned
This song is literally irritating, absolutely annoying song.
@@biglue6322 why are you here then?…
@GunslingerAlGilead because of hate it so much I need to say something about it
@GunslingerAlGilead I hear it on the radio where I work sometimes, and it just kills the vibe. Gimme gimme gimme is a banger though
@@biglue6322 hah, ok, everyone can have an opinion 🤷♂️
No singing group of any era can compare to ABBA ❤
there are some and there will be others coming
I agree, they learned from Ace of Base. Great observation.
This single was released around about the time that I lost my first wife at the age of 28. The lyrics "Walking through an empty house with tears in my eyes" still haunt me to this day. A masterpiece of a song, but one that fills me with melancholy.
For me, it was my Fiancee; killed by a drunk driver 22 January 1995.
(But also, "If I can't have you" by Yvonne Elliman.)
You will see her again one day.
I'm sorry man
I don't know if it helps, but I'm so sorry for your loss, my best to you.
Sorry man :(
This can be played twenty, thirty, fifty, eighty years from now, right from ABBA and it will be a masterpiece 👌
Some of the best harmonies EVER created.
I am 21 years old,I am not from abba generation, but I love abba they made great music
Everyone alive is from the ABBA generation.
It is nice knowing someone so young likes 70's music? 70's and 80's music is THE best music of all time!
🙏🥀💝🥀🙏
I am listening for the umpteenth time to these ABBA songs from Nigeria. I will never get tired listening to them. I am in Nigeria relaxing,at almost 76years of age, looking back those good old days. Today is 18th Sept 2023. ABBA made our days as young students. ABBA still makes my day any day.
Thanks my friend. I'm listening this music in 2023 Abidjan Côte d'Ivoire
Never realized this music reached that far!
me same age, yes those were the good old days, gone, but we have our memory and this channel
to be able to listen to all those good songs of that time!
Lyrically, as dark as anything you would hear in punk or metal, and they wrap it all up in that honeyed sound. Beautiful, and not a lick of age on it.
That’s called real music.

never.ending.memories.
How we loved them in the 1970’s. Most young ppl today have no idea how much fun we had dancing and listening to Abba. We really lived emotionally through their music in a way.
Ain't that the truth
Me and my friend group are in our twenties and abba is always running on every party or evening we spend together. It's the best
I feel bad for young people. Not being able to experience the 1970s
Its great that there's Mamma Mia movies, my 11 year old daughter loves to sing along all the songs in the movie!!!
As as a seven year old Abba fan back in the day, I confirm!
Schitterende muziek van abba.❤❤😅😅
No matter how much you listen, their songs never get old.
Absolutly ! it will be listened in 30 years, unforgetable !
ABBA FOREVER.💕🤗10/31/20
Anni-Frid's voice is as beautiful as she is.
They complimented each other, like it was all meant to be. I wish they were still together. Their music will never end, ever.
I think they’re reuniting in 2018 for a tour or concert with r something idk

Elise Walker A Amazing
I love those 2 girls there amazing
Even Ozzie Osbourn admitted that this was great music. I am a rocker, but love this.
Same here. I love Queen and Abba.
I know just about everybody loves Dancing Queen, but i have to say that this is my favorite ABBA song, such harmony and fantastic background vocals
Me same too, if ask my fav ABBA song, I always mention this first. Angel Eyes another so many to choose !.
@@loulou5331 thank you, You will have a handful of favs ? The name of the game was classic too the harmony's/ voices perfect .I'm going through their studio albums now. @@ronaldchase7037 Ah-ha-ha,ah-ha-ha ha-ha-ha keep thinking......although into the new wave, punk scene 1979 thought this brilliant so catchy...
And I agree too. This is my favourite ABBA song. Beautiful vocals, musical arrangement, bass melody and mixing is top notch. I just never tire of this masterpiece. ❤️👍🏻
I can’t explain but this song just sends shivers down my spine, masterpiece in every form.
I'm with you on that
It’s almost haunting
everybody seems to have bitter-sweet memories connected with this song!
You explained it well "whyallwaysme46"!
It is a Masterpiece
It is my favorite
Hot take: this song’s chorus has the best ABBA harmonies. So many unnoticed layers ✨
The progression is incredible
Agreed!! Probably my favorite ABBA song!
Absolutely agree, it's full of such genuine emotion and has a lot going on, yet still manages to feel harmonious. Genuinely great music, probably their best music IMO.
