    Thanks for the vid. My original instincts did drive me to hit towards backhand backcourt but my opponents seldom return with backhands like that nor did they return without angles, so my follow ups were not as close to the net as demonstrated. Maybe I will try hitting flatter & faster high returns to force it to happen. Thanks

    Nice video, any tips on how to not keep missing the shuttle on high lifts? The lighting is not very good where i play and i lose sight of the shuttle.

    • @BadmintonFamly
      @BadmintonFamly  2 роки тому +2

      Hmm then it’s tricky, you must be able to focus on the shuttle to aim for it 🤷‍♂️

    Sir, one question.
    The player serves high and gets a return on backhand. Each time the player is returning on net with a backhand whereas the ideal return in such circumstances should be a backhand clear.
    So why no mention of that ?

    • @BadmintonFamly
      @BadmintonFamly  3 роки тому

      Yes i can do that for sure, but most cases the play short. If the long backhand comes you still have time to move back and cover that one💪🏻

    0:35 but our opponent can also cross block your smash. Then this tactic doesn't work. I notice this happens a lot when you play at higher level against better people.

    Brilliant, My coward friend always use this serve technic, because he know my smash power. So he always put the shuttlecock far from middle court.

    • @99999george

      Avoiding setting up an opponents smash is literally one of the most fundamental aspects of badminton defense. It's tactical, not cowardly.
