Remember Negan and Maggie's talk where he said if he could do it all again, he would've killed them all. She asked Negan his opinion and he said "you know what I'd do". Once she went there, he bailed cuz he KNOWS. Full circle. Brilliant. 😃😃

Loved Neagan in this one! Ding Dong!! Neagan's look when he saw Father Gabie on the Roof! What a complete change from when he first came on board just like Carol!! Cant wait to see how Daryl got into the Army and what his real angle is! Carol also is being her usual sneaky self too!
Negan did Maggie and himself a favour by leaving. He finally accepted that him and Maggie coexisting is never going to work out. Since he doesn't want to kill her, and to spare Maggie from having to see him and have her PTSD be triggered. He went with an option where no one has to potentially get killed, and the rivalry can rest while they live their lives away from each other.
It was a little heartwarming to see how Lydia was literally the only person who cared that Negan left.
Negan was so proud of gabriel 🤣 one of my favorite duos

This has got to be one of my favourite episodes in this season so far.
And one more thing! If you had told me the very first time we ever saw Gabriel (trembling in fear surrounded by like 5 walkers lol) that we would one day rely on him to help save the group, I'd never have believed it. What a story arc he's had. Hope he reconciles with keeping his faith and living in this world and I don't want to see him die.
I think Negan was referring to the earlier conversation with Maggie where he said he should have killed them all. She chose Negan’s approach over Daryl’s.
Maggie was completely right to kill those Reapers. Leah would have come after them until they were all dead. It was a hard decision but the right thing to do. Judith is so bad ass, I would love to see a scene of her and Herschel fighting next to each other.
Leah would definitely kill them if Gabriel wasn't there.
I love negan and its sorta sad but understandable that the only one sad at him leaving is Lydia Carol looks somewhat disappointed (don't forget negan helped avenge henry) and obviously Gabriel looked somewhat disappointed too

Daryl never does anything without a reason. He is always thinking about the good of his family. So I believe he is undercover.
I think the Daryl vs. Maggie conflict is the show's version of the Rick vs. Dwight conflict from the comics. We can even see a similar division of how Daryl doesn't want to fight other people anymore and taking issue with Maggie's ruthlessness. We're already seeing their diverging paths. Plus, do you really want them to repeat Daryl undercover after he just did that this season with the Reapers?
Exactly. Look at what they went through just to get a cart of food! The CRM really does offer something that feels real and permanent and I can see a lot of people buying into it.
I'm pretty sure when Negan said, "You know what I think," he was talking about the conversation they had in 11a when he told her if he had the lineup to do all over again, he would have killed them all.
I know Daryl and Maggie have been family for a long time, but Michonne was family, too, and it didn't stop her from closing off Alexandria for years and becoming estranged from the others. And apparently on bad terms with Maggie, since she wasn't welcome at Hilltop. So you never know what might happen between now and then to lead to that point. That said, I don't believe for a second that Daryl and Maggie are really at odds. I don't know what's going on, but it wouldn't surprise me if they're only pretending to be on opposite sides.
Hope some of those maggie haters switched up after her badassery. Jarell nice on the ad placement lol

Such a bad ass episode. The ding ding scene was my favorite, that fight sequence was done so well, especially with the reaper music playing. I’m not taking the Darrell/soldier thing seriously yet, there’s got to be more to that than we see.
An article came out yesterday saying that a Reaper (possibly 2 of them) showed up at the church and fought with Alden. They broke both of Alden's legs and slashed his throat which is why he wasn't making the normal walker noises or walking, but for as weak as he already was he was able to injure the other guy(s) enough to kill them too.
I think part of the reason Negan left was not just because he knew Maggie might still kill him even if she said she wouldn't, but because he saw himself in her, in what he had become years prior and he doesn't like it. Even though he said he would have killed them all if he could do it over, I think he regrets how he did everything starting with the Saviors/the Sactuary, that he didn't need to kill people to get them to listen, etc. He'll be back though! He was in the part B trailer with a never seen before woman.
Based on episode 10, I think these remaining 6 episodes will lead up to that "6 months later" mark.
It’s refreshing that the writers are trying new things like with the Maggie killing the reapers situation. I totally expected status quo walking dead formula and they just walk away and become a problem later. This season feels like they’re not scared to really make the last season special
I fully support what Maggie did to the Reapers. The reapers attacked an innocent community and killed tons of men, women, and children and were determined to continue doing so to any one who happened to cross their path or they just so happen to discover. They were too dangerous to let live especially with their skill sets and their group mentality. I’d do the same. They were determined to continue killing people and had zero intention on stopping. As much as it sucks, that’s the only way to stop them. So as far as I’m concerned justice and punishment were met.
Does anyone think there's a connection with Commonwealth & The Reaper's? I was trying to figure out how Leah would be part of the story going forward & end up at the Commonwealth. Then I remembered Pope talking about corrupt politicians & it got me thinking. Maybe Lance or Pamela sent Pope & the gang out to destroy any communities they come across. Maybe she comes comes back to report to them and runs into Daryl.
tbh thats one of the best episodes ive ever seen. Caver vs maggie, negan and eliza (with epic music), gabe as the sniper, maggie goin savage and killing the reapers with this epic music, aaron helping the kids, alden death, the priest, daryl vs the reaper, daryl and connie reunion, the whole production AND THE FUCKIN TIME SKIP PLOTTWIST WTF
Negan Knew what comes next ,because he already done it himself 10 different ways on both sides of the fence,he just didnt want to do it,if its negan dying or maggie dying,i think Negan did the right thing.
Gabriel is one of my favorite characters. He is just way to awesome!
I couldn't wait for your reaction to this, I loved it! I mean, I can't speak for everyone but Patreon has tiers for only $1 and I know you don't want to charge people and I really love that about you two! However, there are people who may not be able to do transactions online for one reason or another and that's certainly a bummer. I hate to exclude anyone but I would pay it, just saying.

Gabriel sounded so jealous when he found out God still talks to that dude. That was a very interesting interaction. Gave has gone down a rabbit hole. Or spiraled out of control anyway.
I don't see any context in which Maggie and Darryl would truly be on opposing sides. Sure he's not happy with her right now, but they're family, and they've earned some allowance for each other to make decisions the other didn't agree with (killing the Reapers) without breaking their bond. This is an act, Darryl would probably leave altogether rather than betray anyone in his group.
Gabriel was a certified badass this episode!
maggie turning into everything shes mad at negan for. what a great episode and i love how daryl who was soooo mad at rick for his "vision" for the saviours in previous seasons,sees what rick wanted for Carl. By far one of the best episodes. JDM can give you so much with just a look and Lauren is amazing and Norman.
This episode was amazing. Can’t wait to see episode 10 this Sunday.
Seeing maggie just headshot those two just reminds me of when beth tried to escape the hospital the first time and she head shot most of the walkers, sighhhhh if only she was alive

I’m trying to stay positive and going with Daryl is playing the part, to get info, etc. If they make Daryl betray our peeps, I will be freaking livid! Gabriel and Maggie are so badass now! I love it!

The ending scene could be misleading. Maggie may not have known it was Darryl with the soldiers. Darryl may have returned to get help to over throw the Commonwealth?

Someone else noted that the music during the arrival back at Alexandria is the same music that they used during the Carl “announcement” at Hilltop (trying to avoid spoilers but probably failing). I knew I recognized it at the time but couldn’t place it. Idk how I feel about the useage here. That’s something I’d like to see y’all talk about before next show, if at all possible.
It was a fantastic episode and I for one am thrilled it's only part two of three segments. Talk about tense. Half the episode I spent hiding behind my pillow. It makes me a little sad. I've been a true fan since day one, since my beloved Andy L put himself forward as Rick and I kept thinking oh he won't pull it off. I couldn't have been more wrong. Thankfully. This programme has seen me through real loss and grief of my family and my partner two years ago. He died the day it was due on the UK Monday 7th October. We were looking forward to watching it. It's pure escapism created for us fans and I will always be loyal to this amazing series that changed the way a lot of us look at television forever.
Daryl is deeply loyal, even having his issues with Maggie's decision this episode, I don't ever see him turning his back on her. He has deep seated loyalty to Maggie through her herself, Glenn, and Beth he has to be playing a part. No way that would change in 6 months either.
exactly. There is NOTHING that would cause him to go against Maggie that happened in 6 months time. Even if she totally screwed him over in some way, he wouldn't actively go after her. Too much history and respect there.
That scene when Negan says “Ding-Ding” was cool but it would have been so much better If he said something like “Ding Dong Bitch”!! Lol…
neagan said you know what id do, he meant kill them all. remember he told her when they were together that if he could do it all over he would have killed them all, and maggie said how can you say that to me? neagan was saying by leaving them alive he lost everything.
I caved in. Parents and I got amc+ to watch both episodes tonight lmao they were so good the wait was worth it
Let’s just go with Leah and Negan possibly teaming up against, commonwealth problems in the near future. The 2 of them being on the outside, help to divide and conquer with our group for the better future.
The last scene is a complete cover for Daryl and our groups grand scheme of things.
I think a huge part of Leah wanting to hurt them is Bc daryl betrayed her twice. Once when he left her even though he did come back but she didn’t know that. And then lying to her and at the last second really telling the truth about himself. So I think she’s hurt and maybe that’s why she wasn’t being so rational
I might have missed some reactions but this is the first time I saw this set up for your reaction vids and at first I thought I didn't like it but less than a minute into it I decided I looove. I hope that Daryl is playing a part. Hopefully he knows that Commonwealth is not a good place and he needs Maggie to go there and become the new leader.
Daryl and Maggie, yes are good friends, but maggie was gone for a looonnnng time almost 10 years. They are different people at this point. Although I do think Daryl is "playing the part", and we will get to see that in the next 7 episodes. So happy TWD is back! What a great first episode!

maggie might wanna watch out, the last person daryl let live was dwight, at the time that didnt turn out so well...
They did this before with Maggie & Michonne. We keep 'confusing' our MAGGIE (TV) with the COMIC version. What we are seeing now, in my opinion, is the _Comic_ version of 'Maggie'. Remember also that the 'Daryl' character (who doesn't EXIST in the comics) has REPLACED the 'Rick' character in the TV version. Both versions of Maggie were at odds with Rick over NEGAN. Because they killed off Rick too early, someone has to be there to PUSH her into later becoming the 'Leader' of the Common Wealth.
You could be right I was thinking it might be a remixing of the Rick Dwight situation... But this could be getting her to go along the path to become the Commonwealth leader,

No matter what I believe Daryl's loyalty to the Commonwealth is real to the extent he wants to make it work for everyone because let's be honest if they go the route of the comics it is the better scenario. Which means Daryl is at least taking some elements of Rick's role which means if they follow comic book deaths Daryl is gonna kill a major character no matter who that is will piss off a segment of the fandom. Now they can go the route they've been going and stop short of killing any more major characters. But to me anyone has potential to die that's one if the perks of the walking dead. People Ive heard from on UA-cam seem to not like making Daryl assimilate to the Commonwealth I think that's the direction they are going I think he either assimilates or dies those are the scenarios if he's taking Rick's role he's gonna assimilate. So people think Daryl is setting a trap I think he is genuine in getting Maggie on board with the Commonwealth one way or another.

@@nizik1979 Remember that, supposedly, Daryl & Carol are supposed to go off together so I'm assuming Eziekiel dies and Daryl gets some word on the whereabouts of either Rick or Michonne.
Maggie learned from Negan’s mistake. No loose ends. Had Negan killed Rick and everyone on there knees, he wouldn’t have lost everything.

Guys, do you all think the Army Michonne was walking towards ( with that couple ) in her final episode ( 10x13 | "What We Become" ) was The Commonwealth, Civic Republic Military { CRM }, a new Army of Morgan, Alicia, and/or Madison's, or another group altogether ?
Since Maggie moved back to The Hill Top after the six month time jump it's obvious that The Commonwealth has taken over Alexandria.
I was halfway watching through the video, and I got an ad for a pill brand called “Meridian”💀
This might be recency biased, but this is a top 10 episode for me. I loved it so so much. Especially the music for every scene was perfect

Gabriel and Maggie were savage, they weren't playing ANY games, but agree they should have got rid of Leah as well, as we know loose ends can come back to bite one on the bum (buttocks) later. RIP Alden😢✟ - soooo sad, we said it looks the Reapers broke his legs, they may have slit his throat as well as he wasn't your usual loud walker - very quiet.
We were just as SHOCKED😱 as you at that ending seeing Daryl in Commonwealth (space trooper👨🏼🚀🐴) uniform, just doesn't fit him at first we thought is this a dream then thought it cannot be as it clearly shows there's a 6 month time jump. What the heck is going on, WHAT HAPPENED? Would have expected Maggie to yield more than Daryl because the Daryl we know likes his freedom, being next to nature and going off by himself, but who knows, his reasoning for this new position could be because he's thinking about stability for Judith & RJ and he's been mentioning it a lot lately that they seem to go from one battle to fight another, but Daryl sounds tired of it all? I just don't know, maybe they'll show us more in Ep10 - don't want the spoilers, have to wait until next Monday to see it here in the UK.🤷🏾♀
Nice job guys. Here's a hint regarding the last scene- In Season 11A, Hornsby agreed to help Yumiko for a future political favor/consideration from her (judge Yumiko). In my opinion, Hornsby is the actual leader of the rebellion. Notice in last scene, he no longer had a suit on, wearing camping clothes. The 20 or so stormtroopers in that scene are what he has been able to gather for the rebellion, but it's not enough. Daryl goes back to hilltop and will tell Maggie that "it has to be this way" means the elite hierarchy of common wealth are not good to the common folk. Hilltop joins the rebellion but still not enough in the army, then they find Negan and his new group, they join army, sprinkle in oceanside, boom army. Oh, likely Mercer joins them also at some point he doesn't like the elitists. Then in the movies commonwealth joins the army Mishone found which is Morgan/Alysha/Madison army to fight the other baddies crm. Alysha doesn't die, bet she is actually radiation poisoned not zombie juice in her, which they fix with the pills shown past epiisodes.
Was there a rebellion army going against the CW in the comics? Your prediction sounds mighty similar to the Saviors arc ngl
Don't forget Hornsby also knows the existence of CRM. And I believe he knows of Rick and that these are Rick's people. That's why he was so adamant with Eugene about finding them.
@@loko8706 there sorta was, not a formal rebellion but Dwight initiated riots and uprisings amongst the civilians to resist the commonwealth corruption.
Daryl and Rick also lived together for a long time and Daryl still turned on him for a minute.
Darly is seen in the commonwealth at first with Carol but I think daryl being daryl just wormed his way in but secretly working with Carol and whoever else is in the commonwealth
Great episode this should have been the season finale last year end of the Reapers goodbye to negan for now and that ending

I think we need to see the rest of the pieces to understand that ending so I'm not going to judge it yet, I'm really just trying to understand why the commonwealth are coming after maggie and why she's at the hilltop. I suspect they have made Alexandria kind of an outpost and maggie went to the hilltop because she did not trust them but it still does not answer why they are coming to the hilltop after her, do they want the hilltop too? Its a puzzle with some missing pieces, thats for sure

About the ending i think Daryl and Maggie are just playing the part and in ep 10 we will gonna see how Daryl joined the Military and we for sure will gonna see the aftermath of that ending because we have the shot from the trailer where we can see Soldiers putting stuff up and prepping to work to rebuild Hilltop

Im personally betting on Leah trying to kill Maggie and she shoves her into a Table, accidentally killing her a la Comic Sherry.
If that happens then Daryl becomes the character I hate the most, for letting Leah go.
Daryl & Maggie weren’t together in the same space that long Tbh, Maggie left them after being with them only about 2.5 years, she was gone about 7.5 years & came back & has only been back a few months so she was away from the main crew longer than she has been with them.
