I managed to kill the Capra demon first try the other day on my first walkthrough. I'm gonna call it luck though and maybe being a little over leveled.
Just stumbled on these. I love watching new people play through the first Dark Souls, always interesting to see how new people approach things and what order they discover different areas, since the world is a lot less linear than later entries. You seem pretty chill and have a nice earnest vibe too, just a chill dude playing through a game, not trying to ham it up but still reacting to things. Keep up the good work.
It’s good, just make sure to keep the back seating in line if that’s what you wanna do. If you’re fine with how it is rn then by all means, I can’t force you. But i would send 20 ballistic missiles to anyone backseating in an overly annoying/spoilery way XD
I just wanted to thank you for this series. Times are changing for me right now and your calm, yet funny demeanor and the pro level gameplay are helping me to calm my mind after a long day. Edit 18:26 that's some solid german dude
Love these vids man. Your commentary, the length, the quality. It’s all just perfect. When I need a not short but good videos, your the channel i come to. ❤
I like the chat. Some of their suggestions take away from experiencing a blind playthrough. Suggestions for paths that you might miss are fine but you can only experience DS1 for the first time once so some of the tips take away from that experience in my opinion. Great video! Love these series you have been doing.
i must mention that when the gold guy kills the firekeeper, there'll be a whole quest to hunt him down, and after it's done, you'll get the soul of the firekeeper back. as soon as you get it, *IMMEDIATELY HEAD BACK TO FIRELINK SHRINE and put it back where it belongs*. I've seen so many people accidently use that soul because it looks the exact same as a normal firekeeper soul, so people use it for their Estus upgrade.
I know this is old but just found this videos, and they are really entertaining, but the chat backseat is really a run killer, it kills all the fun of exploring and discovering the world and mechanics on your own
1:49 Immaculate Havel killing music very faintly in the background (thought I was hearing things that wasn’t there initially) ff4’s airship theme is a bop!
not a fan of the chat on screen. well, it wouldn't bother me at all, except that the chat is full of spoilers and backseating lol. annoying to see on a first blind playthrough
at around 9 minutes you ask who that door is for, believe it or not, Fromsoft actually added an Easter egg for Charles White in the game, you'll know him from his role in Hunger Games. So yeah pretty cool.
And there we go. Chat ruined the content. The "playing for the first time" genre is only entertaining to watch if it's actually a first time experience. Getting advice from veterans ruins it.
yeah, but it's not even really advice what they were doing, they were just ruining every surprise and telling him what he should do and where he should go
5:03 Is funny to see the comparison with Monster Hunter because I played MH before any souls game, so the DS1 also reminded me of MH, and even though MH is an older franchise than Dark Souls, I doubt that FromSoftware actually took elements from it.
Sucks that chat tries to spoil the story with the Fire keeper and Lautrec... Something like that really is better left to learn about through playing the game and experiencing it. And all it takes is one sentence to kind of ruin a special moment.
Just a slight personal feedback, I generally enjoy a bit less edited stuff. Not ofc I'm just a random one guy and you have built your audience around this edit style so ofc if you rather keep it the way it is perfectly understandable, but you know if there are more people who think like I do, or if you've been thinking about experimenting with less edits, or whatever thought I'd put this comment (and hey worst case scenario an extra comment is just extra engagement for the vid so it ain't like it's hurting) Oh also if you could label the parts of the series in the title it would be real nice.
Valley of Dragons -> LowerBlighttown better and easier than Lowertown -> Depths-> Upper Blighttown -> LowerBlighttown. But yeah you need to use first leson you learn in tutorial. Skip big boys untill you get big. Depths unlock +10 weapon, so Depths-> +10 -> Blighttown if you want to be super ready. BigBoss in Asylum get weapon from +14->+15(max)
I can’t believe i did havel the hard way. I just went blow to blow with my zwehandier. Didnt even think of backstab just luge attack heavy attck roll away make sure health is fun doge repeat.
it's not a drake. drakes don't have wings. that's the key determining factor when it comes to drakes vs dragons. dragons are drakes with wings and drakes are dragons without wings. the dragon in dark souls clearly has wings.
I just found your channel and loved your randomizers but i gotta admit the first 2 episodes of this were great but after i saw the chat in this episode i knew it wasn't gonna be as good anymore. Them basically telling you everything about the game just ruined it for me. It's not really playing it for the first time anymore when chat is telling you how to kill things, what gear does what, where to find it, what npc kills who and who to kill or watch out for. It's not really all that entertaining anymore once chat just backseats the whole way through the game
People in chat hating on Dark Souls 2 got clapped by the Pursuer, 100%, either that or Shrine of Amana >.> I personally fkn loved Shrine of Amana, and preferred it pre-nerf, bunch of crybabies >.>
After heard chat say that this guy is Havel I immediately knew they don't know shit. We don't see true Havel, only his knight. The knight are the ones that wear the rings.
I like the screen chat. But i do need to suggest something, you tend to leave too quickly when there possible loot. Enemies take a second to drop loot sometimes, i know its annoying to have to sit around, but a lot of enemies you find may drop useful upgrade materials. The other thing is looting corpses, sometimes, and this is dukb i know, you have to lick things up a couple times. Right before capra demon, theres the thief gear, and theif weapons. They count as seperate items and need to be looted seperately. Loving the run so far, yoy kinda made lower undead burg your biotch. That place is harder than you made it seem
You are the person I go to when im eating and need youtube to watch
That is a compliment of the highest degree. The eating UA-camr is very important 🙏
YES, EXACTLY. LOVE IT
This.
same
Was doing the same, until dung pie😂
“I feel like I don’t want to be here”
Pretty much describes multiple ares in the game
The free aim shots with the bow were genuinely very impressive
2:45 every souls player has felt this pain. Getting 1 shot by Havel when he’s so close to death
This dude is the chosen one, he beat the Capra Demon first try.
Agreed
It's easy with heavy armor or wolf ring (high poise meaning dogs won't stagger you)
I managed to kill the Capra demon first try the other day on my first walkthrough. I'm gonna call it luck though and maybe being a little over leveled.
I just use the dung method where you can poison the boss without entering the arena
nah Capra isn't that hard

What do you guys think of the on screen chat? I'm experimenting with it, but might have to switch to Twitch live streams for it to not suck 😅
it's alright :3 looks good
Looks good for this game. Only thing that is sort of hard to see is your souls but that isn't too bad.
It’s good, just make sure to keep the back seating in line if that’s what you wanna do. If you’re fine with how it is rn then by all means, I can’t force you. But i would send 20 ballistic missiles to anyone backseating in an overly annoying/spoilery way XD
It's fine
it's fine as long as chat doesn't spoil the surprises
You have earned my respect for the first try on capra demon. Good job.
i love the "i don't mess with ads in a boss fight" immediately an ad plays.
These have got to be some of the most interesting let’s play videos I’ve ever seen
I just wanted to thank you for this series. Times are changing for me right now and your calm, yet funny demeanor and the pro level gameplay are helping me to calm my mind after a long day.
Edit 18:26 that's some solid german dude
No problem, I'm glad I could entertain you!
Love these vids man. Your commentary, the length, the quality. It’s all just perfect. When I need a not short but good videos, your the channel i come to. ❤
Incredible Series
Amazing Find
Love Watching Your Souls Playthrough
Good Vibe
Thank You Great Man

What???? I can't even fathom how you flashed the Capra Demon. It literally took me 50 attempts my 1st playthrough. Good freakin' job.
Because his chat got him Havels Ring and told him how to use GCS
I know this is old but just found this videos, and they are really entertaining, but the chat backseat is really a run killer, it kills all the fun of exploring and discovering the world and mechanics on your own
1:49 Immaculate Havel killing music very faintly in the background (thought I was hearing things that wasn’t there initially) ff4’s airship theme is a bop!
1:17, ah yes the boar is a humanoid enemy
I'm finishing up my SL1 no pyro all bosses run of DS1, got inspired by the series to play the game again. Hope you're having fun with it
Love that you keep two handing your axe and roll
i love watching these videos while grinding in dark souls
Dude your fight with Havel was so funny and reminded of me first I fought him. Think you got him just to be crushed
Idk how you have only 25k dude you’re a great youtuber! Love this series
The thumbnails are on point!! Take that Da Vinci
you gotta finish the whole game!!
“Yeah havels dead” ahhhh I remember saying that 206578 times
Seeing your journey has been great so far
I found your channel by accident and I’m glad I did
This is the content I strive for
not a fan of the chat on screen. well, it wouldn't bother me at all, except that the chat is full of spoilers and backseating lol. annoying to see on a first blind playthrough
Yes. I agree.
Intense backseating, like they directed him to the Lower Undead Burg and told him to turn around from Blighttown to get upgrades.
the Backseat from the chat, ruins everything that a first run means.
at around 9 minutes you ask who that door is for, believe it or not, Fromsoft actually added an Easter egg for Charles White in the game, you'll know him from his role in Hunger Games. So yeah pretty cool.
1:19 you can backstab the armored boar in undead burg in between the bridge and church.
bro i'm french, i think your videos are really cool, i enjoyed them
Awesome vid bro! Love watching the playthrough as I playthrough
It's cool to see you are enjoying it, but Dark Souls chat is surprisingly spoiler-y and backseating-ish.
Love the classic let’s play format
The amount of backseating chat does is annoying, but if that is okay for u then I guess it's fine
And there we go. Chat ruined the content. The "playing for the first time" genre is only entertaining to watch if it's actually a first time experience. Getting advice from veterans ruins it.
yeah, but it's not even really advice what they were doing, they were just ruining every surprise and telling him what he should do and where he should go
These are great. Can't wait for DS2 and 3
You are now my favorite UA-camr 🙏🏻😺
You have that new to ds1 but not new to souls formula vibe and its fun to watch
9:16 I love the big rat the makes the rules
5:03 Is funny to see the comparison with Monster Hunter because I played MH before any souls game, so the DS1 also reminded me of MH, and even though MH is an older franchise than Dark Souls, I doubt that FromSoftware actually took elements from it.
Amazing content. Amazing game.
Sucks that chat tries to spoil the story with the Fire keeper and Lautrec... Something like that really is better left to learn about through playing the game and experiencing it. And all it takes is one sentence to kind of ruin a special moment.
I’ve been playing for a month and he’s better than me
ik i'm 6 months late but ur def a new fav youtuber of mine :D
Love the JSRF music!
18:28 Sehr gutes Deutsch mein Freund auch wenn man es in deutsch „Ich habe einen Zweihänder“ sagen würde
So glad to see you do all of these, I think you should do demon souls before it’s too easy after this
Are you going to play armored core 6? Big fan btw
dude these videos are great, love the humor lol
Use a shield, A SHIELD!
Enjoying your videos mate 👍
The dogs next to capra attacking immediately after entering the fog is the most annoying shit ever
playing it live with people backseating you was the worst idea imo
True lost a lot of the charm of the playthrougt
Just a slight personal feedback, I generally enjoy a bit less edited stuff. CLASSIC getting one-shot by Havel XD
Awww such good memories of when i first visited the depths 😂
It was good till chat started spoiling.
Valley of Dragons -> LowerBlighttown better and easier than
Lowertown -> Depths-> Upper Blighttown -> LowerBlighttown.
But yeah you need to use first leson you learn in tutorial. Skip big boys untill you get big.
Depths unlock +10 weapon, so Depths-> +10 -> Blighttown if you want to be super ready.
BigBoss in Asylum get weapon from +14->+15(max)
gotta love the blind playthroughs
hmm not so blind with the chat telling him quest outcomes
Stupid chat backseating and spoiling everything.
Not the Cadussy Round Shield lmao
jesus fuck he beat the capra demon first try. this man really is john darksoul
let the screams begin
Idk how you beat Capra that easily…I’m pretty seasoned in ds, especially 1 and that’s insane…I always die to that mf
The best famail i ever seen
17:21 lolol so corny I love it
That’s such a cool helmet, you should keep it and not let a parasitic Maggot replace your head
I can’t believe i did havel the hard way. I just went blow to blow with my zwehandier. Didnt even think of backstab just luge attack heavy attck roll away make sure health is fun doge repeat.
10:26 he already knew
"It's a Drake, not a Dragon."
It's a Wyvern, actually.
yea no. playing first time with chat next to it spoiling everything and telling you exactly what to do. nah mate
its called having fun my guy
@@noschtube9703 yeah, the comments here don't agree
Yooooooo its we live we love we lie
aaaaand another run immediately ruined by backseating twitch chats
I didn't know that boar was humanoid enemy in ds... noted
Aw man I was enjoying seeing a blind play through but that’s kinda impossible with twitch chat backseat gamin :/
Why did you edit the vordt theme into the stray demon boss fight?
drakes does not have wings!
isnt this like, his third "playing dark souls for the first time" vid?
Me thinking I don’t have to upgrade my weapon to plus 5 before gargoyle?
Actually it's really good that you didn't get any black knight's weapon. Any of them is completely broken, and turn the game into easy mode.
it's not a drake. drakes don't have wings. that's the key determining factor when it comes to drakes vs dragons. dragons are drakes with wings and drakes are dragons without wings. the dragon in dark souls clearly has wings.

As someone who has been playing
Soulsborne games for 6 years.
I absolutely love to see people
Playing souls games for the first
Time.
17:40 why did you change the boss music?
why'd you edit out the music for the boss fights?
People in chat hating on Dark Souls 2 got clapped by the Pursuer, 100%, either that or Shrine of Amana >.> I personally fkn loved Shrine of Amana, and preferred it pre-nerf, bunch of crybabies >.>
He killed the real boss part of the capra demon and called it an ad
oh i get it.
dark souls.
Praise the smurf cat
After heard chat say that this guy is Havel I immediately knew they don't know shit. We don't see true Havel, only his knight. The knight are the ones that wear the rings.
That shitty spoiler-men in your stream chat are ruining ur first experience
its the best souls game bro get it
You could always parry Havel
why you are using this slow roll? make max 25% equip load, you'll be a lot faster
YO LOW POLY SPINNING RAT FTW!
I like the screen chat. But i do need to suggest something, you tend to leave too quickly when there possible loot.
