- An Elden Ring player continues trying Dark Souls for the first time! Today I am continuing to play through Dark Souls 1 and it is painful. Dark souls is considered one of the best souls games of all time and I have never seen gameplay of it or played it before making this a completely new experience for me! Do I have what it takes to beat one of the best souls games of all time?

Ngl, the damage on it seems pretty bad. Been lucky getting BKH and BKS on both my playthroughs, and they just slap so hard compared to the damage hes whipping out with this wet noodle 😂
@bjartemannnn My first playthrough was with Black knight sword too and that thing make short work of every boss before O&S(With exception of Capra demon)
Yea they are both pretty redonk. Want to try Bhs axe aswell, but it never dropped.
@@bjartemannnn most poeple don't find BKH on their first playthrough until much later. Ridiculous weapon and DPS. Literally makes mince meat out of all the bosses in the game which is why speed runners use it (glitchless).

You coulda used the fair lady to upgrade the estus flask but you attached the dude. None of those egg guys are hostile and killing them just gives you worms which can affect you

The first time I played it got stuck on the gargoyle for two weeks, I was so frustrated that I uninstalled and installed the game a few times, ended up killing the boss and I it felt so good that I thought the rest of the game was going to be a little easier, it wasn't
btw when u use summons for boss fights, the boss has more health so sometimes its better to fight it solo than do it with a summon
Power within is one heck of a pyromancy spell, 40% damage increase and stamina regen by 30 points, but you lose 1% of hp per second and it lasts 100 seconds (150 with Lingering Dragoncrest ring) don't forget kindle ur bonfire while you're at it! Another thing to note, Zweihander is a good pvp weapon due to it's high poise damage and stunlock capability.

One BIG tip I can give you for boss fights: Don't roll to make space while medium rolling, run instead
The medium roll in ds1 is meh, so dodge the incoming attacks and run away to make space and heal. Using run and blocking in boss fights to accommodate the weak medium roll will help against the much faster boss fights to come.

Algorithm comment. Also the old guard on me is still disappointed by summons. It must be how elden ring encouraged summons cuz back then it was just ds1 and demon summoning was considered absolutely scummy xD I'll get over it

Blight Town isn't bad in remastered because the framerate is fixed. The real blight town experience is the original version of the game where you're lucky to get 10FPS

On the topic of him rolling off ledges a million times is it just me or does that happen all the fucking time in dark souls? Blight Town is definitely the worst offender but for some reason nearly a quarter of my deaths have been from falling off ledges while trying to fight something

Welcome to blight town we have dung boys, growlithe, toxic blow pipe dan, wall leech, Homunculus spider and etc
Assuming you didn’t just outright kill the egg guy whose name I don’t remember, you can go to the pardoner up in the bell tower and bribe him to reset the NPC’s aggro, letting you have access to the Fair Lady and my favourite DS1 Covenant. Overall is still Sunbro though
Edit: 15:17 and this is why I *always* kick Laurentius off the cliff. The FaP ring is a nice bonus, but I just never wanted to have to deal with not having an active Bonfire in Firelink Shrine.

Once Iron Golem threw Tarkus into the Firebomb giant tower. He couldn't return to the boss fight.
Some tips for you:
Go back to Sens fortress and talk to the demons that took you to Anor Londo.
At the broken bridge in Sens fortress, you can jump over the gap to get to a merchant that sells large titanite to plus 10 weapons.
If you go down the stairs next to the merchant, there’s a snake guarding a key. You can use that key to open some cages underneath the room where the boss was.
The short cut takes you to the start of Sens.
Run back to where you beat the gargoyles. Run to where you rang the first bell and talk to the guy standing with his arms out.
You can request absolution and unagro NPCs you may have hit on accident. Run back to Quelaags domaine and talk to the ball-sack guy. Say "yes" to him and talk to him; he sells an "Egg Vermifuge,” which gets rid of the egg head; he will give you one for free since you already have one on your head; he will also give you a pyromancy flame; the egg head also steals souls from you if you don’t remove it; join the spider lady’s covenant; she will give you a great chaos flame. Also, you can give her the fire-keeper's soul, and she’ll upgrade it too. In Anor Londo, to the left, there is a bonfire. Right next to the bonfire, there’s another firekeeper; she upgrades your heals.

I have finished Elden Ring, Dark souls 3 and Bloodborne, but Dark Souls 1 is way to difficult for me 😅
I first soul game is ds2 and I got stuck at the forest of the giant for 50 hr just to find out u can lv up your character. I that proceed to beat the entire game with a battle axe .
Damn I wish you went back to the tree. Following that path leads to such an amazing moment. Came across it without knowing my first play through and it was one of the highlights for me.
The next victim of DARK Souls but a tip take magician is easier for you 😅
