Enjoy your vids dawg, keem then coming 👍
You showed it in the video in a few cuts, but forgot to mention to transfer the o-ring from the OEM inlet to the Unitronic one. Other than that, great video, definitely helped with my installation.
Issss about timeee
Great I have done on my golf r from sunny west Yorkshire England 👌👌
The flushness of the pvc valve is because you are using a off brand inlet. Use a reputable brand like cts or ecs tuning.
I had to loosen up the fuel rail, unplug the spark plugs and fuel injectors. Also remove the POV hose from the engine itself cuz mine was stuck on hella tight. But I did do it when the car was really cold
Gid it!
I'd recommend since "new" car model parts are pretty pricey so for 150 it's a good deal, like aftermarket intakes are what 350 at least for what the countless forums where ppl say it's just for sound and maybe a little hp gain. it's noticeable with a stage 1 tune I have, the spool and pick up mid range is really noticeable imo. Idk about peak hp I hear like 5 whp/10 tqs but the mid range power curve definitely gained more area.
It's more worth it to get this mod and an airfilter compared to a flat out aftermarket intake setup. Would be cheaper and make more gains.
I'm running the CTS Version thats pretty much the exact same thing. Not sure if it made a difference because I went EQT Stage 2 with supporting mods at the same time I installed this pipe.
Great vid! Is there a torque spec for the turbo inlet torx screw? My inlet seems a bit wobbly but is flush in and locked as well. Thanks!
Yo im from the island, should meet up sometime, I wanna do very similar work to my mk7 gti as urs
hey sir, I have an audi S5 B9, hesitating between APR / Unitronic, any recommandations ?
Plastic is also lighter.
I have a Golf mk7 1.8t base model. I want to get stage 2 unitronic tune because I plan on buying a DP, but I have read that you need a tcu tune the thing is that unitronic only offers ecu tunes for my specific car so I was wondering if I could go stage 2 without a tcu tune.
You can it’s just gonna be a little rough
I’ve been running my mk7 gti without a tcu tune for like 5 months now, no problems
@@asdfjkl2881 thank you
i have a 1.8 too, but im going apr, they don't have a tcu tune for it so what Im thinking is that the tcu tune is for DSG models only, might be wrong but thought id mention it.
What made you choose this turbo inlet pipe over others because I'm about to order one soon and I was looking at the 034 Motorsport one
They’re all essentially the same. Except the MST one actually is bigger so better performance
I’ll probably get the BMS one since it’s $70

Next upgrade... IS38!
I like your accent dude perfect videos
I could matter if it was to crack. You don't want pieces falling into your turbo.
Hey maybe check for a boost leak or something your 0-60 looked a little light
Yeah I already know it’s not the best time. Cold tires, bad pavement, etc
