Okay, I've been wanting something like this
I usually knock on VPNs, but this is a genuinely useful feature to me as the family IT guy
can't hear the fan at all.
and even if, your comfort comes first.
Square 2
I have put Meshnet on my computer and my mobile (linked) but how do you get to see your computer on your mobile not sure what remote device i need to make that happen ??
@@thespudlord686 I have put Meshnet on my computer and my mobile (linked) but how do you get to see your computer on your mobile not sure what remote device i need to make that happen ??
Biffa upgrading his GPU and raising the resolution to new heights: "Yes, that looks sharper."
Me, watching on YT at 1080p: "Okay."
Glad I’m not the only one
@@ReachTea Aye I know how video compression works, was just having a light-hearted chuckle because no matter how good Biffa makes his graphics look it'll probably be the same to most viewers 😉
1080p would use up too much data, I usually stick with 480 or 720 lol
@@DonGorgenDoing better than me, I usually keep to 360.
I'm the same with speaker test videos, "yep, sounds the same as my headphones always do!" 😂
Square 1 for now. It will open up so much access. The Island is a project for later, when you have more things open
Tile 2 would be perfect for some hotel complex with some beach houses style or what its called.. however i feel like tile 1 is best to unlock now in the early game :)
Definitely 2
Yep 2
Yes, 2
Trolley bus route #3 needs a counter direction route to spread out the trips.
Even if it’s just around Bradley Heights
Location ideas:
1) An excellent place to start a farming industry.
2) Sports Island with all different types of sports venues.
3) Lake-side living with houses on one side and apartments on the other.
Tile 2 seems great because you can create some sort of Tourist Resort Area there and also maybe build an airport on the mainland to go along with it, probably north of Bradley Heights with tram lines and a connection to the highway plus a metro if you plan to build one.
Congrats on moving house!! Hope everything went smoothly and great video Biffa!
So excited for CS2!!! The road tools look so much better for someone who doesn't have access to all of the mods in CS1, and honestly the feature with the water and all that running under roads will save me hours (and save the water pipes from looking absolutely atrocious)
Love the retaining wall - must have taken a long time to detail with all those rocks! The new area looks amazing as well! For the university, my vote goes to the Liberal Arts campus - I think it would work well with the holiday vibes of the city. I can just see the hipster quarter with craft markets, art galleries, etc becoming part of the local tourist attractions :D As for a new square - 1 is the most practical but....2 is crying out for a luxury resort!
Do we really believe that Biffa didn’t stop recording, add in Move It, copy and paste the rocks, then removed Move It and started the cameras again? It’s what I would do 😂
You'll have to take my word for it. I placed every single one of those rocks by hand...and "loved" every minute of it 😂
@@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines 🤔
🤣😂
Definitely #2 - I once made an exclusive tourist island which was only accessible via helicopter.
You made a pedestrian area (Marcello Centre) but then didn't lay any pedestrian roads or a service point.
Great episode! I love your creativity when you are limited to a small area, so I choose tile #2 on the island.
Respect to biffa for all those rock placements. I’d just add move it and place it all to remove the hassle
Don't forget you unlocked crematoria/cryo-preservatories now with Big City, you wanted to place next to the hospital :)
Thanks 👍
With the choices available, I'd have to say go for #1 to buy next.
What I'm looking forward to most, is how the Cities Skylines content creators keep finding ways of making those dev diary, 4 minute vids, into 30 min+ vids for their own channel. The ingenuity on this is next-level
Well, when you're excited for a game and there;s lots to talk about, it ends up being a long video!
I choose square #4, so you can get another exit off the highway! None of the three options have that.
Agreed, especially since he even mentioned it.
The beach adjacent to Bradley Heights? If so, I agree, building along the beachfront some more would look fantastic and it would allow another highway exit without being too close together. I was coming to say this if nobody else had!
38:50 personally I always split my bus routes into local loops and connecting express lines with just two stops. The local stuff is low capacity and the expresses are higher. Because the expresses are quicker, because they only have two stops, they can cope with more traffic
The Moment you realize Cities Skylines 2 is being just around the corner while you are still fiddling around with getting your Cities going in the first one ^^
Where the road tunnels under the highway, I would suggest switching it around so the highway goes in a tunnel under the local road. Then you can bring exit/entrance ramps from before the tunnel entrances/exits and connect the ends of the ramps to a bidirectional 4 lane road (2 in each direction) and intersect the local road.
Glad you are getting settled in good now! Love the new build!!! Very natural looking with all the parks and trees. Great job😍
Maybe you should install "Move it" and move some houses 😂
He did that in real life instead
People being like “30/86 ain’t hot” and our reply is add in humidity and live in houses without air con and come back to us! Our houses are also built to keep heat in, so I can only send my heartfelt appreciation for you playing in a glass box in this heat! 😊
Loving this city so far, I play on console so gaining lots of tips and inspiration for vanilla play so thank you!
I think zone 2 would be really cool to see next, although it could maybe be a premature tile choice
I think 1 is the best tile for now. 2 defiantly needs to be a resort or theme park or something special. 2 is a destination.
Congratulations on completing the house move...although I'm sure you know it will be months before the last box is unloaded!!
Phenomenal music choices for this video, by the way. Amazing jazz!
Thankyou, been enjoying the music myself too 👍 😁
Liked it heaps --- its freezing over here. As for the recommended square, none of the one's you chose. Use the one directly below the new High Density area. Keep both areas High Density and cut a new road through to Valley Heights Shopping area. Drop the highway down from the junction in the new area to the existing junction at Mulberry heights. Build IT or other similar commercial over the top of the Highway directly across from the High Density. Area. Connect to both old road and new roads to Valley Heights and Shopping Area. Fill with suitable housing and Trolley Bus service.
Express service to exchange area good idea.
You could set up area 2 with pier for ferries out across the current beach area near the Library ??? (building in the loop road) shuttle to high density for now.
40:24 The tile below Bradley Heights, the one with small island and big beach looks great for some beach tourism with nice park area and maybe some expensive housing. You can extend the road going from Bradley and also connect the direct tram route going from the new area towards Valley Hills and back (it will be nice to use boat ferries instead of roads, it will encourage people to use it as alternative since it is technically shorter path and that means less traffic at the main road :D ).
Anyway, keep up great content and channel Biffa, I'm looking forward to see what's come next regardless which path you choose to build :D
Biffa - "and I think here we'll put in some parkin"
Me Internally - why is he placing slabs of cake?
I’d choose tile 1, because it has a lot of space for new housing development and/or a farming industry, and it brings you closer to unlocking the train connection
maybe you can use a bus that going straight from the main city to the island. Great video!
Even though I would love to see what you create in Tile 2, I would say Tile 1, because there is great space to expand the farming industry, and therefore create more demand for when you go to Tile 2. Great episode Biffa!!
Hi! nice to have you back, don't forget to rename the park area, you asked for a new name.
Also, you opened the crematorium so don't forget to place it near the new hospital, besides that, here is my voting for the University: I like Fine Arts style.
For the areas, here are my thoughts:
1.- The best to expand your farming area, but you already have one developed, so it can be a great area for the university, sports and residential expansion.
2.- I like island it can be a tourist development, with shops and hotels, and yes, a little bit of offices if needed.
3.- Indeed the best for housing and another park... maybe the zoo, and it's a good tile for you to get closer to the train tracks, and this area has a lot of terrain leveling.
Thanks for your time to teach us how to play vanilla again.
Love the series!
Tile 1 seems like the best option for now to build up more stuff and Tile 2 can come next time for hotel projects and such
If you want to have road and quay beside eachother in Vanilla, build the quay first and then built a perpendicular section of road towards the quay and another one parallel to the quay (with just "angle" on).
👍
*cough cough* too much time with mods so biffa forgot basics *cough cough* other than that the new area look great.
@@Solus749 lol
@@ayushpawar8952 well it is basics to secure the shore FIRST, fix the ground and THEN build road. That is why I think certain mods made people lazy.
Congratulations on the successful move. Very clean looking addition to the town.
I'm very excited!
Especially for the non popping and realistic cars and citizens!
Looking great. I think the new area should get a separate bridge close to the beach, back to the coastal lane or to about where the garbage facilities are.
Regarding the area to buy next: remember you wanted to include the highway junction in an area at some point, and you've been building roads that currently lead nowhere, with the intention of completing them in the future.
all that said, i want the island, lol.
I think a stadium on the island would be really cool! so I say #2 for option!
Number 1 would be the best pick. Opens a large stretch of the fertile land which could be an opportunity to build a nice new / continuation of the farm complex and gives the best chance to expand the city.
Personally i would also think about some highway ring road route that could let you take the present highway out of the town/ city centre, and this particular piece of land is a perfect choice to start
I am enjoying this new series, but I do have a question. Do you remember that traffic fix that was needing a Part 2? Will you consider popping back into that one? I admit I am a huge fan of the traffic fix videos. Thanks much!
Fantastic build! You've actually captured the feel of New York City without resorting to the Brooklyn Queens CCP.
What square to develop next?
Square 1 will give you access to the north, an alternate route to Odin Lakes park, and an area to develop as agriculture (perfect with Industries DLC).
Square 2 would be a perfect spot for a Mackinaw Island / Nantucket / Key West car-free quiet tourist area using Seaside Resorts and its Victorian grand hotels. But you won't be able to access it and make it car-free without Sunset Harbors DLC ferries unlocked.
Square 3 would be ideal for a nature reserve or forestry area but access beyond is hampered by the lakes..
So for now I would go with Square 1.
My vote is #4, the island directly south of Bradley Heights. A full downtown/entertainment district similar to how Toronto has organized itself against the lake. Sports complexes, high rises, high density shopping all as a backdrop to a low-rise California style boardwalk experience. with Fin-Tech mixed in
I love the rock walls! Thank you for your efforts😂
loving the cut through as it is now with the rocks :) No 1
36:20 Midcentry Modern has smaller parking lots. (Though keep in mind they have their roofs)
Feel so bad for him here. Genuinely excited (like we all were) for what CS2 was potentially going to be. ♥
I think Tile 2 would be the perfect place to pedestrianise. Nice little challenge 🙂
I can hear cpp cry in the distance over Bradley heights being a large cul-de-sac, maybe a small road from valley hills over the river to Bradley heights to counter that and expand a bit on that area as well.
And I would go with option 1 to grow the city a little bit faster, maybe a bit more downtown-ish area to unlock the next milestones
1 is the best for now maybe later when you have so much more money you can get 2 and make it into a huge 5star hotel complex with like a cool bridge going to it
That had to be the worst timing
Biffa: yup gpu is climbing…
My tv: “breaks down” 😂😂😂
Loving this series. Don't know how you're still sane without all the mods. Lol. As for the new tile, I think #3 would be great. Would love to see what you do with another lake.
That new neighbourhood 100% needs a highway ramp asap. Right now it's a gigantic cul-de-sac... and also getting the ramp would allow for a regular bus (not trolley as you can't upgrade highway roads to trolley) route for shuttle service going from the central bus-hub-thingy to the new development without stops in between.
Got to be tile 1 at this point then tile 2. Glad the move was nice and easy, so many times in Blighty its a nightmare, looks like your internet was set up quick too. Great in this weather!!
You've gotta get rid of that lowered road along the water at 32:49, that's forever going to be a flooding hazard.
37:31 - Behind the new high school, you could've tried dragging out a small segment of road to mirror the parking lot, otherwise the new neighborhood looked great!
#1 would be nice to expand the main part of the city and work with the highway a bit.
here I am looking to share a cup of tea with biffa, and he's drinking water? from the fridge? how dare you!
I go for the option one square. You do know you can also use the Line Tool for placing the little rocks 😉
Congrats on "completing" the move ... It'll only take a few months to find everything. :D For next square, of the ones you listed, I vote #1. But honestly, I think that the coastal square below Bradley Heights would fill in before the island or other lakes. You've got that long, coastal thing going, and it would continue the vibe.
Number 3 option I think is the best to build more houses and one or two hotels
Love this build so far! Some thoughts from a backseat gamer:
I think the second retaining rock-wall you painstakingly placed around 33:00 could be scrapped - since you now have elevated the ground on both sides of the road, it doesnt need to be lower than the ground anymore? if that makes sense?
Also - your pedestrian zone doesn't have any pedestrian features, if I'm not mistaken. Furthermore, the paths running alongside the quay wall closeby aren't connected to the quay or the road, so citizens can't use.
Great episode as always- I like the expansion of squares 3,1, 2 myself- but whatever you decide will be a good watch either way.
Great video as always Biffa! zone 2 for sure, that island is perfect!
I recommend buying the area that allows you to connect up to the railways :)
I like the phrase "smattering of XYZ".
All 3 squares have their potential benefits, I'd possibly be tempted by square 2 though. Make it like some sort of mini resort. :/
Square number 2. I think the island seems an interesting project!
If you connect the new quay with paths, the sims will walk along it. Best to start from a road/path down to the quay, rather than trying to build the path from the quay. I built multiple connections from a road that was parallel to the quay, and was very happy to see people walking along the quay. :)
1 for sure. But number 2 looks interesting!
Maybe have the trolleybus going to the new area go along the beachfront road you have. Takes traffic off the main collector and would make for a very scenic journey
Number 1. Gives more scope for whatever variety you need.
Option 1 and expand the industry, please also make more transport options and more trolleybus connections, would be amazing!
Would love to see a zoo and financial district. The island (2) would be a really cool place to setup a tourist resort. Put in as many unique buildings and zone it in sections for hotels and tourism.
You should have put the trolleybus turnaround between the tunnel entrance and the highway! Would have looked cool and wouldn't mess with lane changing!
You updated the Resolution, but didn't mess with the LOD settings. With a better Graphic Card you can increase the Draw Distance for the LOD!
👍
Number 2, I reckon it'll be amazing to get done that island.
i think tile 1 would be a good pick because you can "beef" up your city with more infrastructure and other stuff of the sorts or just expand even more. also i think its valley heights that is the one road that just squiggles off to nothing would be a great spot for a university. you can build it there and then connect the new area to the others with a road so there is less people on the highway (if they would like)
I love how temperature effects people from different places. I’m thankful for just 86 on a June day in Georgia. Must feel like hell to people above a certain latitude.
It's actually mostly not the temperature but humidity. 26C can be pretty unbearable here but I was "freezing" when a mild breeze came in the desert with 50C in the shade
Woo Hoo like number 845! Looks great brother Biffa. And congrats on the move. I was pleasantly pleased with how much you posted in the middle of that life changing moment. Thanks for that.
Defo 2! That island could be a destination island for whatever attraction on the next unlocked milestone. Would be interesting IMO.
Square 2 because it's gorgeous! And I know you are the great Biffa and you could make it workkkkk
The new are turned out better than i thought at first, it actually looks great! Tile 2
Number 3 would make for some nice lakeside housing with a campus near the main road.
You should deffinately unlock square #1 first. It is the most sensable for now, and it has more area to grow the city to unlock more. Then unlock #2. Square #1 would be a great place for a downtown high-rise district.
Congrats on the upgrade mate! Well worth it
Loving Hugoslavia! 32:51 - the road could be called "Rocky Road" and potentially upgraded to four lanes as a future main road?
Square 1 would be perfect at this early stage of the city for large development so that city grows faster
Have you seen the behind the road tools video from City Skylines where they go more in depth of the road controls and stuff? Very interesting stuff
I did a video on it, be sure to sub so you don't miss them 😁👍
Hey biffa! Loving the new vanilla series, just curious if the British city will come back eventually or is it gone for good?
I was going to bring it back once New Tealand finished 👍
@@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines nice one! Keep up the good work, hope the house is nice 😊
The land bellow Marcello center or number 2, would be great....
I'm not even Bradley S or a Patreon, but still feel privileged as a Bradley to have a place named after us. 👌🏻🤣
🤣
1 would be practical, but I would love to see the island become a tourist destination, later.
Beautiful work as always, mate. ONE for me, makes the most sense at the moment.
I've only recently come across your videos and have been binge watching them, and it would be really helpful if each video's title had some indicator of what series it is and what episode. I think this would also help UA-cam when it comes to autoplaying next videos/suggesting next videos. I appreciate you might not want to clutter the title with lots of text, but even something simple like "NT1" for "New Tealand 1" would do the job
Hi, and welcome 😁 Every series on my channel has its own playlist which can easily be found either on my channel playlist page or in the description of my videos 👍
First tile number 1 to expand, then island because it is super cool
The time and effort on that big wall was worth it Biffa, looks great 😊
I hope the water behaves less like a vindictive separate entity having a tantrum in the sequel. Its like diffusing a bomb tweaking a Dam, one wrong move and its "tsunamis for everyone!" for 30 minutes
Boiling at 30C (86F). *Laughs in Floridian*
Perhaps the direct line could be a Monorail going over the river, or a railway, or a subway or maybe all three! Rail would take the most people and the monorail would just be cool, and maybe a gondola or two crossing the river just for pedestrians and for some fun!
