$5 Item That Can Replace Embroidery Hoop Stand

- The hoop stand (or holder) is actually helping a lot when you have to make certain stitches like French Knot, Chain Stitch, Stem Stitch, or Turkey Stitch. But most of the hoop stands are a little pricey (of course they are definitely worthy). This video is going to show you how a $5 item, 2 pieces of bulldog clips work as an embroidery hoop holder. I bought the bulldog clips at the Staple store but I can't find it on their website.

The fabric I use is Robert Kaufman Kona Cotton Fabric. It is very good quality neat even weave (plain weave) cotton fabric with a variety of colors. The price range is around $5 ~ $7 per yard (the cheapest, safe, and good website as far as I know, I ordered my fabrics from this website).

😮 I have these for keeping the pages of my sketchbook open when I am drawing/painting outdoors - to prevent the wind from blowing my pages closed while the ink/paint is wet. I LOVE YOU!
So when I clicked on this video I thought that it was going to be a 5-step thing. With having to use a screwdriver and screws and having to buy some PVC pipe and glue or something like that. I like that it's so easy, quick, and simple. The fact that it's cheap is my favorite part. Thank You.

This is an excellent idea! An idea in a different video was a metal plant stand, that may be better for punch needling, but possibly still worth a try.
I’m a beginner and didn’t want to splash out on a hoop just yet. This will be perfect! And I can reuse the clips for something else if I decide to upgrade ☺️

I tried doing this, but only had Binder clips, so of course it wasn't sturdy at all, and I went with the stand instead. But this is definitely a good idea when I'm somewhere I can't take my stand.

This is a great idea. But my table is too thick. So annoying.
I cannot get the clip that hold the hop to be secure on the first one, I got the exact same model and did just you did but it it keep slipping
