What I love about Maangchi is that after all these years, the success she's had, and everything that UA-cam has become, she's still just doing her thing. No pretense, no fancy editing or camera work, and you can tell she probably hasn't updated her AV equipment much (which is SO Korean 😆). Her effortless natural charm and authentic recipes are all she needs. Don't ever change, 아줌마! ❤️
I like the Korean tradition of serving many small dishes to offer a variety of textures and flavors. I generally prefer this over eating a larger portion of just one dish. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much for your nice comments and messages as always! I'm going to read all your comments now! I just finished Korean caption, so English and Korean captions are available. 영어, 한국어 자막 올렸어요!
I love the context Maangchi gives to the history & value of each dish. She makes beef in the olden days of Korea sound just as valuable & precious as the kind of Wagyu that comes with a certificate when you purchase. I recently went on the carnivore diet after a long time researching, and have learned the true value of beef. The way Korean cuisine treats every cut of beef, even the ones we wouldn't recognize here in the US, profoundly makes me appreciate this time period in which we live where we can have it just about any time we want
I've tried Soo many of your recipes over the years and I just absolutely love your channel. Your flavors bring Soo much joy into my home. I've made huge amounts for gatherings with friends and there are never leftovers. Thankyou for sharing this beautiful tradition
oh!! This is my favorite Korean side dish. Jangjorim!! It's late at night in Korea, but watching this video makes me want to eat a late night snack. I want to eat rice and soy sauce!! 👏👏👏
This is amazing! One of my favorite dishes ever. My mom (Korean) still makes this all the time but just calls it "salty meat", so it's nice to know the actual name for it.
I've been watching your channel for almost 4 years and today (finally🤩) I want to say THANK YOU Maangchi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🌺 I do enjoy your cooking and your videos put me always into a good mood!! And in addition to that your cookbooks are the perfect complement to your UA-cam-Channel!! The two books are simply great!!! Thank you so much for sharing your delicious Korean recipes!!! I was only looking for korean rolled egg recipe, and found you! oh why oh why only now? My mouth is now watering, I can already imagine the burst of flavors! yum!
Your explanation is very clear. Thank you for sharing this recipe, Maangchi. Now, I have a place to learn korean cooking. Give so much love from Indonesia. 💕
Jangjorim looks so good! And that cold cucumber soup looks amazing! I have cucumbers growing in my garden, definitely have to make next time I harvest!
My Halmuni used to make this for me every time I visited, I didn't realize until your video how meaningful this was to her, to make me the most precious banchan. Thank you, Maangchi
Delicious looking as always. And I love your shirt!!! Looking forward to the pickled garlic video. Your soy bean paste and soy sauce videos are some of my favorites.
I don’t know the names of meat cuts in English but I recognize it, I use it to make “asado mazatleco” one of my favorite Mexican dishes, my mom uses other fancier meat but I prefer more potatoes than meat so I don’t care, I recommend you look into it c:
I made this yesterday for today and my lord is this delicious 💗 Instead of the meat I used a vegetarian mock- meat and after a night in the fridge, it absorbed the flavour thoroughly.
Maangchi, years ago my Mom would marinate flank🥩steak overnight with vinegar & fresh🧄garlic! She would then cook it the next day with🧅onions &🍄mushrooms; it was delicious!
Thank you Maangchi for all your great recipes. Your approach is so accessible for everyone. Can you share the "saltier" version of this recipe so I can keep beyond one week? Or can you freeze this or reboil it to keep it fresh. Any suggestions would help! Thank you again!
"Can you share the "saltier" version of this recipe so I can keep beyond one week?" Add just more soy sauce. I've never freeze my jangjorim but I think it will be ok to freeze it.
Can you share the saltier version for this recipe? I miss jangjorim! It was one of my favorite food memories from my childhood. My mom passed away before I learned to make her amazing recipe.
The braised beef looks really tasty! And all your other side dishes look just as delicious too! A very colorful and appetizing meal indeed! Thanks Maangchi!😋
What a great recipe! Actually what I would do with it would be to serve it with udon noodles like a soup and make a full meal out of it. That's the way I eat.. it looks delicious! You're Wonderful!! 💯🥰❤️
This recipe, like all your other recipes, looks delicious. Your pickled garlic looks much more flavorful than other pickled garlic recipes found online. I will try to wait patiently.
Ugh girl! I feel you on that can’t tolerate spicy stuff as well as we once could. So sad! I used to live for the spiciest of spice. My poor stomach wimped out on me
Eager for your pickled garlic recipe. I love the Korean way of many side dishes, so you are able to enjoy many flavors during one meal. Thank you as always, Maangchi.
This sounds so delicious. I wish I was sitting right next to you and eating this. I'm definitely going to make this. Thank you for another wonderful recipe.
Maangchi, maybe you should get your gallbladder checked. My uncle could not eat any hot food and it was because he had a gallbladder stone. Once they took it out he could eat anything he wanted again. 🌶🌶🌶 I can’t wait to make this! I think I will make it when I wake up tomorrow. Yes I’m watching in the middle of the night lol! 😁
Slice the zucchini into thick circles, salt and pepper, leave them to sweat for about 10 minutes, pat them dry, coat in flour and egg wash & pan-fry in oil.
I've been looking for this. ❤❤❤❤❤
Now I can make it myself
👍
