What a great review! I was lucky enough to get one in their first run. I love it, but my one niggle is that the minutes hand is too long. I think it should reach the minute markers, not the gmt track. Other than that, amazing watch. Also, their customer service is outstanding!
I thought the same and reached out to Lorenzo and he replied with this: As for the minute hand, you'll notice that the tip of the lume points to the minute markers, while the metal tip points to the bezel markers, thus bridging the gap and allowing for easier timing of minutes elapsed.
Good review - I love this watch (I got one in the first batch). FYI, to the best of my knowledge all "True" GMTs (I prefer the term "Traveller" GMT for the 12 hour jumping hand and "Caller" GMT for the 24 hour jumping hand) don't have quick set dates. It is fine to change the date forward OR backward with the jumping twelve hour hand. A caller GMT (quick setting 24 hour hand) still has a quick set date. So, if you tend to stay at home and want to track a second time zone (i.e. and make a phone call to them), the Caller GMT may be a better choice (I have the Seiko 5 GMT which is this style). The Traveler GMT is great for pilots or people who are continually changing time zones. They can jump the "local" 12 hour hand without stopping the seconds hand and then they leave the 24 hour hand set to their home time.
That could easily be the one watch to wear daily, in all situations. Only down-side I see is the height…but like you said that may not be that big a deal. I love Lorier!
Trust me. It will not wear huge. It is crazy because it is my everyday wear. I beat my watches because I wear them for every situation and it holds up.
