Kid: I don't think I'm being intellectually honest
Joey: *You're more honest than 99% of grown adults I speak to*
with or than?
@@madzygal Than*** thanks
My biggest take away ( excuse the pun )
Respect to this young man
for what
@@MatteoFitness
For being a good egg.
"I don't think I'm being intellectually honest" - I've NEVER heard anybody say this. Mad respect!
Dude is gonna be vegan very soon
Right??!! Bigger than most society. Truly open to learning. Good kid!!!
What a kind, smart and curious young man. If only other people were 10% of him.
I'm hopeful he will do his research and live vegan - be on the right side of history.
The right side of history? He already is! Humans are born to eat meat, we have teeth specifically to tear meat, our digestive system can cope with meat! Go walk among lions, I’m positive they’ll eat you! That’s nature, humans have developed the means to provide meat to the population more efficiently than they used to. What about the millions of animals killed in the cultivation of plant food? If someone chooses not to eat meat then fine, but leave those who want to alone!
15 years old, what a lovely young man! Very bright future ahead for sure
What an awesome kid. Smarter and more intellectually honest than most adults.
This kid was so articulate, mature, honest and respectful! His parents are doing an excellent job.
this guys only 15, insanely well spoken
We are actually very weak, I can't fight off a bear or pack of wolves . I can't stand that humans think we're all that.
totally agree. many animals can see, hear, taste, smell, sense, run, jump, climb, swim, fly, adjust to environment better than us. strip us from tools and weapons and let's see how many of us will survive in the wild.
We are still learning how intelligent and amazing animals are. There's a video called bees can do math. In that video they also enjoyed playing with balls subjectively. They are not just honey making robots (for humans). I saw a video about people trying to find out how pigeons have great natural navigation skills (beyond humans). People still can't figure it out. Unfortunately, people did cruel tests on pigeons to try to figure it out. Like mutilating their bodies.
People use the intelligence argument but not many people are actually intelligent 😂
The average lion has the strength and instincts of a lion
The average human will piggy back their intelligence off of inventions that had nothing to do with them and they don’t know how to use 😂😂
most animals can't. doesn't mean we've very weak, but i know what u mean
@@user-qg4ch1sf9r Do you know that only 2.1% of the population have IQs above average? That's a whole lot of not-so-intelligent humans!
That young man was very articulate. I appreciate his open mindedness.
Great activism Joey ✌️
You have the support of a Muslim Vegan my Brother, may the Lord be with you ❤🙏🏽
What a nice lad. It’s a pity that a 15 year old boy can have a more calm, open and thoughtful discussion about something than a lot of grown adults. Sad really, but also fills me with hope that there are good parents that will raise children to be open like this🤙🏼
Losing neuroplasticity is awful yes :D
without even watching the whole video i see 2 things
1. This young 15 year old boy will be something big some day
2. The future is Vegan and we are all part of it right now
He is wise beyond his years, and will most likely follow through on the research, choose to go vegan, and start influencing others. Well done sir!
It’s so refreshing when people are thoughtful and kind like him. I wish every conversation with a non vegan was like this, bless him!
This kid's attitude and capacity to 'venture beyond' has restored my faith in the future!
This is how a debate should be. Both sides listening to eachother without raising their voices, getting their points across. Great to see. Joey made some incredible points here.
💯💯💯💯💯
What a lovely open minded intellegent young man ❤
What a thoughtful and caring young man. 💯🌱☀️
You can value BOTH, humans and non human animals and just not support their suffering. ✌️
Stop killing animals for your vegan meals.
Yeah, I don't understand how some people think "uplifting others is oppressing me". The mindset of jealous people.
What happened to when we were kids we wanted to help everyone including animals and the planet? There's room for everyone. It's just that some people want to be greedy. Including in the form of just attention for them and away from the suffering animals.
There are also a lot ways that eating animals is doing the opposite of favouring our own species. Pandemic risk, antimicrobial resistance, environmental impacts etc
😇अहिंसा परमो धर्म 😇
ahiṃsā paramo dharma
(“non-harm is the HIGHEST religious principle” or “non-violence is the GREATEST law”).
Therefore, only a strict VEGAN can claim to be an adherent of the eternal religion (sanātana dharma).🌱
@@dbruce581 💯 925 million humans (1 in 9) suffer from hunger, yet 80 billion unnaturally bred animals on farms are given enough human edible food that could support 4 billion humans directly. -University of Minnesota
Refreshing to see someone capable of having their belief system challenged and being completely open to having a civil conversation and actually listen without getting angry or defensive. The world would be a much better place if there were more people like this young man.
It's often so warming to see young people be open and honest before they get indoctrinated, irrationally biased and so often contrary for the sake of it.
Veganism _is_ indoctrination...
Well done Joey. Very well composed and delivered. This dude is also participating in a fairly honest and open minded way which is awesome.
If you're a Christian and still eating animals, please read the book called "Why Every Christian should be Vegan "
Thanks for the recommendation. I am currently reading the Lost Religion of Jesus, which is fascinating.
Or watch Christiracy @@susanbuckley1964
Book title: I WILL ABOLISH THE BOW by Matthew A. King. Some excerpts from this book:
[Pg. xiv], "We hope that Christians will no longer see animals as property or commodities, but rather as God sees them: Persons - individuals with a unique personality entitled to lawful moral consideration."
[Pg. 12] "...possessing the attribute of nephesh chayyah indicates that someone is a person. ... Animals fit the criterion for personhood as they also possess nephesh chayyah. ...this Hebrew term describes both animals (Gen 1:20, 21, 24, 30, 2:19) and humans (Gen 2:7). Animals should also be considered persons too, based on the original Hebrew."

BEAR IN MIND: In the BEGINNING, the world was VEGAN (Gen 1:29); and for ALL ETERNITY, the world WILL be VEGAN. In between these two, the world is messed up.
Jesus is the Savior of the WORLD (humans AND animals, NOT just the human race only). GOD CANNOT LIE. Amen.

Finally someone intelligent and honest... good kid. His parents must have had a lot of credit on his upbringing.
Oh my gpsh, that boy was smarter and more honest than most adults. He can definitely make a difference, and he no doubt has good things ahead of him
One of my adopted chickens is both very clingy and grumpy, she pecks my shoes if I'm late for breakfast and follows any person who visits very closely
Sorry to burst your bubble the chicken only follows you because it associates you with food
@@apolloniusbeitsman5444 I think you missed the point - i.e. if you reduce a chicken to being as simply as you believe this is still a *greedy* chicken - the others are pretty chill either way. I.e. they have brains - which although small - are still intricately complex meaning personalities and traits differ between individuals. So I'm not sure what point you're trying to make other than to point out your own simple-mindedness...
I.e. We observe similar things in humans - you could be a human who varies from other humans in that you lack perception and wisdom in your current state. The good thing is humans are capable of learning and some are even capable of change
He was a cool kid seemed very smart and his mind was open and the information definitely went in!
This kid is going to go vegan soon and become one hell of an activist. Look out for him.
This was actually a beautiful conversation. People like this give me hope. His parents should be very proud.
Joey is such an amazing communicator! the kid was also very open-minded! so refreshing to see these types of conversations!
Oh I wish this young guy will see these comments. Awesome young man!
Its so easy in the supermarket to overlook that the 'food' covered in plastic does not contain suffering
Love this conversation, what a bright, open-minded young man
With intelligence comes empathy 🤷♂️
God bless you Joey
that was one amazing interview, theres no argument is there, eat plants and stop the killing! 💚💛🧡
its not an interview its a conversation or discussion
@@madzygal you can call it whatever you like, but it’s correct by definition
“a meeting of people face to face, especially for consultation.” same thing, but thanks ☺️
@@AngelicaSecondLife it can also mean ;
- a conversation between a journalist or radio or television presenter and a person of public interest, used as the basis of a broadcast or publication.
- an oral examination of an applicant for a job, college place, etc.
and
- a session of formal questioning of a person by the police.
i have never once heard it used in the context you used it, only ever to refer to a “session” of “questioning” (for whatever reasons)
i guess *technically* it may be *correct* , just uncommon in every circle i do or have ever frequented.. idk, who can say 🤷🏻♀️
also consult means “ a meeting with an expert or professional, such as a medical doctor, in order to seek advice. “
i don’t think thats whats happening here, could be wrong though.
not trying to police peoples words or anything, but i just don’t consider this an “interview” per say in my books.
you’re welcome tho
@@AngelicaSecondLife and no it aint the same thing, not at all. i think its harmful to preface or describe conversations as interviews, especially in regards to children. it sets the tone that they need to perform to their best abilities in order to achieve an end goal, instead of focusing on the actually fact of communication, based in understanding and learning and expressing ones self, if that makes sense’n!!
@@madzygal you don’t have to agree for it not to be so, I didn’t write the dictionary and there are way more important issues in this world, or maybe you forgot that.
This was one of the best conversations I've heard from non-vegans he was raised right except for the fact that he's not vegan but then again you got to let the kids come to their own conclusions, because then they can just lash out and go completely the other way
Thank you Joey, briliant, you try to save our souls, health, children, planet too and animals from suffer.. For no torture no abuse anymore GO VEGAN👏💚🐾👣🌍🌐🌱💚💚💚
Trying to make up for all those he played a hand in killing with drugs.
@@vickinorman2970 That's a good thing. He is making a positive change now. He is making the world a better place
If you say so. Meat industry isn't going to ever cease.
@@vickinorman2970 haha. Plant based products are gaining popularity and people are abondoning slaughtered animals. Slowly but surely it is.
Respectful young man who just wants to learn. So rare in this world
Thanks!
What a smart kid.
This kid is way too smart for his age. Given his intelligence, he most likely wont be Christian for long. And a huge potential to become an activist if he does go vegan.
What's wrong with being a Christian?
@@AndiGomez-yu2dx Oh nothing. I just think he might not stay Christian for long thats all. But yeah feel free to believe in whatever you want to believe, as long as you are not hurting animals or any human, its fine.

Great to see such a young man be so well spoken, thought out and curious. Kudos Joey! Thank you
Excellent conversation, I hope the conversation stays with this young man and he finds the courage and integrity to unlearn everything he knows about eating animals.
If you are against abusing and torturing animals you must be vegan or live your life as a hypocrite.
Great activism Joey. I think by the end of your segment the young man understood what you were trying to say. I hope he does start eating plant-based food only because it would be a win-win for the animals the planet and his health.
You forgot to mention the tens of thousands who just walked by Joey with no interest in his wares...
You can't know how deep the experience of another entity (animal) is. We can literally only know to the extent that they demonstrate it.
The extent we imagine it, but in case of acting atrocious it might be wise just to leave them alone.
What a nice kid. So many like him in our younger generations. Thoughtful beings!
Wow what a great conversation Joey, respect to you both!
This young man is wiser than most people triple his age. Props to him for being open and inquisitive.
Fantastic outreach and discussion. I trust he and his parents will now go forth and do the right thing.

Outstanding outreach Joey , what a refreshing debate with such a compassionate young man .

Fantastic work, Joey, as always. There's real hope for that kid now, thanks to you and the wise truth you revealed to him.
Love this kid. Wish everyone talked, listened, questioned with respect like he just did
Great video Joey
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼Great conversation and Kudos to the 15 year old kid welling to lesson, respond and ask great questions.
When they bust out the "sapient tho" always get them to define it and watch them either go in tautological circles or name traits that farmed animals already have.
It's no different from "sentience though".
Joey when was this filmed? I always miss the opertunity to sit down with U in Leicester Square.
Great discussion 😊
What a nice young fella, smart, curious and very polite. He is going to go far in life. Let's just hope he does continue on he joins our side as he would be a great asset to the vegan community
Why do people say no offense before they’re about to offend? You don’t say no offense. Just say I’m about to offend you but this is how I feel.
It is so gratifying to see/hear an open and intelligent person listen and take in the truths from an experienced and educated individual such as Joey. It gives one hope for the future.❤
Joey, you are what this world really needs. Keep up the fantastic activism you are doing for the animals, humans, and non human animals, and this planet. The world is changing for the better because of people like you. xxx Thank you so much for all the positive education and activism that you are doing.
Love these conversations ❤
What a great kid! A lot more understanding Patient, and open to receiving information than most society! You can feel and see the kindness through the way he speaks and pays attention. Bright on so many levels! His grace of communication was wonderful to watch, even if he isn’t vegan yet. I can totally see him being not only a Vegan in the future, but an activist as well.

absolutely *heartwarming conversation. open-minded, his questions and statements gave amazing opportunities to give the right statements and ask the right questions back, I think this one might soon be another fellow vegan.🌻
Thanks for sharing. I was really impressed with that young man.
what a great human being, i hope he keeps that curiosity and open mindedness as he grows older.
Would love to learn from the parents, their methods hoping to be able to be half as good as them
Joey does a great job of adjusting his tactics according to the person he's talking to. I think that's a really important thing for vegan advocates to be able to do, and something a lot of us seem to struggle with. Certainly there are people who have earned the full-force, combative style of argumentation, but others are interacting in good faith, out of genuine curiosity and open-mindedness, and deserve to be met with a more delicate and respectful style of debate - especially a young man like this who is still learning his place in the world! I have so much respect for how Joey is able to recognize this and adjust his approach accordingly.
I appreciate everything you do Joey!
Damn, when I was 15 I was sadly still learning basic shit like "stealing is wrong". This kid is a blessing.
I’m so impressed with the awareness and critical thinking capacity of this young man! Wow at 16 yo, he’s definitely a future animal rights activist, no doubt about that!
Great convo, amazingly open young person!

Joey, thank you for spreading awareness to the youth and still malleable minds. They will make the right decision. May I suggest saying “god be with you” rather than “be~less you” as you can visually see being less is not so great of a spell to speak into existence. God be with you friend 🌞🙏🏻🌞
