I suspect that the police mostly know about the relevant laws in cases like this. However, they are hoping that public ignorance of the laws and the perceived authority of someone in uniform will lead to citizens doing what they are told. You see it time and time again on UA-cam videos… the police challenge a member of the public who is carrying out a legal activity, become very assertive, sometimes aggressive, then back down when challenged. Those who don’t back down, and who incorrectly detain or arrest citizens inevitably cause out of court settlements to be paid.
I suspect that most of this behaviour is intentional and part of their training. The few payouts they have to make are probably worth it from their point of view. It’s a similar attitude to that of law-breaking corporations that see fines and penalties as a cost of doing business. No individual suffers a penalty, so the financial costs can simply be passed on to the customer / taxpayer.
I don’t want to give the impression that I’m anti-police; I’m not. We need them for preventing and solving crimes and attending various serious incidents. However, someone peacefully stating truthful statements over a megaphone, in a publicly accessible area, or carrying a banner or TV screen, is not a police matter.

Since they were babies, those guys were told by their parents that bacon was good and so, into adulthood it was their mothers told them was good. It is hard to say their mother was wrong. I have done it though since I care more about how animals are treated. Those guys don't want to ever admit that bacon is causing animals suffering but the seed has been planted now.

Notice how, when Joey was asked to leave by the centre security, he did so immediately and in a civil manner. I’m happy to be corrected, if you have information to the contrary. I find these police interactions fascinating and in instances where police have got involved in such civil matters (e.g. gone ‘hands on’), they always settle out of court when sued.
I love how he speaks to the people in the same tone as they speak to him. This is fantastic controlled activism, especially under such pressure! ❤

Fun Fact: Animals urinate out water they consume, which is filtered through the soil and re-enters the water table, meaning no water is lost in the raising of animals.

Also you cannot get all your nutrients from plants alone otherwise you won’t see and ex vegans saying that they faced catastrophic health outcomes after 5 years of doing a deficient diet. You can get all your nutrients from meat alone, and no, fibre is not an essential nutrient as we cannot digest it.

Grass-fed cows’ diets contain more cellulose fibre compared to grain fed, requiring more fermentation to break the grass down, causing two to four times more methane to be released from the cows directly. Methane is much worse for global warming than carbon dioxide (CO2), as it has about 130 times more warming potential than CO2.
Plus, they take longer to grow and reach slaughter weight so they live longer and therefore have higher overall lifetime emissions. Plus, they require around 41 percent more land than grain-fed cows. Cows alone are responsible for 70 percent of deforestation in Brazil, so choosing to eat grass-fed beef will further exacerbate this destruction.
When it comes to the environment, grass-fed beef is not the lesser of two evils, and if you truly want to eat a sustainable diet, a plant-based diet is best as it produces fewer greenhouse gasses and requires far less land and water.

I do understand why people, such as this manager, would be concerned about their job. There are few people who can afford to live without their current wage, so I wouldn’t expect them to immediately drop everything and walk away. And, as we know, the truth is that most people aren’t really aware of how animals are really treated.
However, this manager seemed particularly weak; at one point she appeared to freeze and was unable to think of anything to say, or she was simply afraid of the ramifications of saying something on camera. Something simple along the lines of this statement would have sufficed, “Thank you for bringing this to my attention; I wasn’t aware of this information. I’ll need some time to research further, as this is new to me. However, right now, you need to leave the premises immediately; I am revoking your right to be here and if you fail to leave, I will arrange for our security team to remove you”. It’s not rocket science; I would have thought the manager of a £multimillion retail store would be able to think on their feet.

I've left my job when I became a vegan and I have been in her role, but not in food. I think most police do know the limits of their role; they just hope the public don’t and, in most cases, they are right. Unfortunately, the public are largely clueless about their basic rights, and the police take advantage of this to take control of situations. This is why the police in this video were frustrated; they are used citizens just following instructions, even when such directives are outside their jurisdiction.
We need the police to get involved when crimes have been committed, and when there are serious incidents to manage. If the police ‘stayed in their lane’, we would have much more effective policing (in terms of cost and outcomes).

@@IceBoNeZ Real life says I am right. I got on a mostly animal based diet and I lost a lot of weight. Anxiety faded away, mind is more focused, I have much more energy, and I even gained a bit of muscle mass.
Modern diets are disastrous for people.

Omg! What is wrong with these people? They are slaves to a system that benefits them and even when the worst suffering is shown to them, they are frozen, non responsive. That manager said do this outside because it makes them feel uncomfortable. Really?????? How much does that hurt compared to the innocent gentle animals being slaughtered in the most horrific painful way, that you are turning your back on?
Stepping up your activism big time! I love it! The people with no empathy baffle me.
