Old vet here I was at Fort Eustis in 66/67 my mos was 61b20 assigned to co.612 heavy boat and lived on board an LCU . Sept 66 sent to Qui Nhon Vietnam assigned to 544th on an LCM - 8 boat main duty was unloading ammo ships at sea and carring ammo and supplies north . Was a pretty good job until January and tet offensive but still better than the Bush. A first Lt. In my vet group says he wouldn't trade jobs ,didn't like the idea of 60 tons of ammo in his lap.😅
I remember 88K training at FEVA. We raked the woods in November for two weeks. I didn't realize there were that many holly bushes in Virginia. But the actual MOS good experiences. Loved Panama.
