I saw My first Army Watercraft Operators , as a Marine, at NAVSTA ( Naval Station) Subic Bay, Philippines,in 1989-1990, when I was with both 13th and 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Special Operations Capable. I, as a Marine, did not know that the Army had more ⛵ than the Navy and Coast Guard. 🇺🇸⚓

Old vet here I was at Fort Eustis in 66/67 my mos was 61b20 assigned to co.612 heavy boat and lived on board an LCU . Sept 66 sent to Qui Nhon Vietnam assigned to 544th on an LCM - 8 boat main duty was unloading ammo ships at sea and carring ammo and supplies north . Was a pretty good job until January and tet offensive but still better than the Bush. A first Lt. In my vet group says he wouldn't trade jobs ,didn't like the idea of 60 tons of ammo in his lap.😅

I remember 88K training at FEVA. We raked the woods in November for two weeks. I didn't realize there were that many holly bushes in Virginia. But the actual MOS good experiences. Loved Panama.

Kids, what they don’t show in this video is what we like to call the black hole. The 331tc, also known as causeway. Where all of the shit leadership and shit soldiers go, the units soul purpose is to ruin your career and body. If you get put there out of ait, you will not go anywhere and have the worst experiences the most miserable 4 years of your life. Toxic leadership runs deep and is encouraged. You will be mocked and laughed at and never be recognized by other organizations. Because you have been tainted. You will not travel anywhere but Korea And not anywhere fun you will ruff it on a muddy beach and be shit on by everyone. You will not part take in anything remotely cool or fun. You will not get any training or certs to help you in the civ world. If you you’re unlucky enough to end up in the “yard” you will spend 4 years as a barnical scraper. The living condition on mission are that of infantry and the high level commands will shit on you the entire mission. While other units eat well ( and I mean well, stakes, lobster, fresh caught fish and ice cream basically 5 star meals) but you will eat MRE’s for a month. You will not deploy anywhere and if you volunteer for deployment the command of the 331tc will shit on you and throw you under the big dick bus of the army for trying to escape. Now with that said if you make it to an actual boat unit you will love life.
