I've been playing acoustic forever and in like an hour or so, my moms gonna let me open my new and first electric. bowie is my favorite. your timing is oddly perfect
What did you get? im 23 so i dont have the experiece like my father has about different guitars but im really digging my telecaster. i play slide so im thinking about getting an SG.
@@jesselucier7251 squier hss strat. I wanted that les paul sound, and a strat, so I figured just a strat w humbuckers would satisfy. it's gone above and beyond- it's a perfect in between imo. 16th birthday was really cool 😎
I love this song it is one of the only songs I actually sing while I play it (I don't sing well though)... I don't think music could ever be like this this now days but I wish it were.
Great lesson. I've loved this song ever since I first heard it on the radio when I was in high school. Thanks for making it clear and with playable licks. BTW, you must be a Buffalo guy because I see your "Flutie Flakes" and Genesee beer sign in the background. Lol
That was great. Spot on but you left out that that little riff right at the very end of the song as the piano was finishing the ascending octaves of A.
Hi James my name is Les from NZ thanks mate for taking time to teach these classics
So much still left to learn from Bowie. Saying he was ahead of his time would be an understatement.

Congrats on your first electric
Yeah man! Thanks ma. Keys to the universe

Before you know it you'll have 5 and be shopping for more, crazy fun hobby though.
Yet again, this man shows you how its done properly 👍🏻
Bowie played the guitar on that album
My all time favorite Bowie album
Killer tone on this one, hollowbodies are magic.
My favourite DB song is station to station
love that it's DB guitar playing ....thanks man....Diamond dogs is such a difficult album to learn guitar wise

Sounds great on that semi-hollow; great choice… thanks for sharing; Fillmore West!😎
Great F'n song!
One of favs , been wanting to learn this song , thanks 🙏
Super tune, glad you are doing this one!
Interesting Tuto.. Love old Bowie with Mick Ronson's licks..
I don't think Ronson did this song with Bowie.
Mick Ronson and the Spiders left Bowie before Diamond Dogs came out. I think Mick’s last Bowie record was Aladdin Sane.
I think Mick might have arranged some of these tracks before he left, sounds like the Spiders.
Pretty good guitar on Diamond Dogs for sure ...... would'a been a real diamond with Ronno. Came out my Junior year in High School.
Awesome as usual!
💎🐶, great choice.

Lightbulb!
Mick Ronson ♥️
Mick Ronson was a gem
Mick didn't play this! Diamond Dogs is all Bowie
I know. Late to the show. Great vid. Love the song. Are you playing a 335? What are the specs? Great rig. 😀
That’s a 2007 ES 345 out of Memphis. Best electric guitar I’ve ever owned.
Flutie flakes. Are those Canadian? I saw The Argonauts play a couple times when he was q.b. here. A fabulous player.
I was watching the day he chucked that Hail Mary... and I was there the day he kicked that drop kick in Foxboro... good times!
Its sounds like greg gin from black flag would play before they even existed
always thought the opening riff was done on a slide...
JJ I see Elvis on top the amp your brother built but who's the other little figure...love from Glasgow Scotland
There’s a couple Elvises, Jimmy Page, and Johnny Rotten.
What Amps do you normally use?
I’ve been using a Peavey Classic 50 for the past year.
@@jamesjames9275 I had one of those and got rid of it when I got my AC30 I miss it so much. So now I am trying find another one.
Bowie kinda sounded goofy at times, but it looks quite hard to play
