    I followed religiously all your hair care tips( henna, fenugreek oil, flax seeds gel, Natty naturals products, tea rinses...) and my hair grew from collar bone length to bellow bra strap length, curly and healthy! You are good at what you do Curly proverbz. I am shocked and grateful! Thank you so much. I wish I could share a picture with you. Yes,oils are proven to grow my hair, especially my edges. No lie ! I mix my olive oil with jojoba,lavendar,sweet almond,vitamin E,rosemarie oil then add sheabutter and my hair is thriving so well. I put coconut oil only if I'm deep conditioning,then it's the bomb. Olive oil is my favorite base oil,the other is jojoba oil. I put some of these in with my henna to make the gloss and my hair is silky soft,even on wash day. Thanks for your help with finding what's perfect for my hair growth.

    WOKE FACT OF THE DAY! Fenugreek is grown natively, along with henna, tumeric, sandalwood and more, in a number of regions of africa including the horn with henna, coffee and castor oil actually coming from africa aka it's an african practice. Fenugreek is specifically used for food and skin care. Let's give little love to our africans who were with the trends before they were trending (aka before aruyvedic's (modern people pushing indian-crazed trends) picked it up)😊

    • @CurlyProverbz
      @CurlyProverbz  6 років тому +37

      Xidiga thank you for sharing.... I have said before henna used to grow in the graveyards behind my home in Sierra Leone. I do know that Ayurveda and Sanskrit is one of the oldest systems not sure who used it for hair first but I think it is more commonly used for body art in Africa and both body art and hair in India.

    • @najma2613
      @najma2613 6 років тому +61

      @@CurlyProverbz I wasn't directing my comment (the aryuveda bit) toward you but to viewers whom may believe only Indians use such methods. Many "indian" or "arab" remedies are common, if not originate in eastern africa. There are heay influece sof eastern Africa in arabia and india too. Even I can't find much about my own countrys remedies online. I can say however fenugreek is definitely used for skin care in a number of counties and grows natively in the horn. It really comes down to whom gets the word out first. For instance, coffee has been used since ancient times in Ethiopia/Somalia where it natively grows for special days or ceremonies. But if you read online the credit is given to southern Arabs, claiming Africans only grew the bean and nothing more. Coffee was traded at large from the kaffa kingdom of ethiopia, hence the name cafe or coffe. Just like coffee, hardly anyones is aware of anything natively African due to misinformation. I'm sure you'll give credit where due. Keep up the great work. nw.

      @@najma2613 Potato chips were invented in the UK, but you don't see Peruvians claiming that it's their creation because the potato originates from that part of the world. Similarly, fenugreek is grown in many regions in the world, and each of them had a different use for this plant. The Romans, for example, used it for wine. When you search "origins of coffee", the first few hits on google clearly indicate that coffee IS native to Ethiopia. It's frustrating how you're discussing this idea that people are spreading misinformation, when you're one of the people participating in the propagation of misinformation.

    Black castor oil was amazing for my hair!!! It sealed and softened my hair like no other!! I need to revisit it. The only reason I strayed away is because it provides all moisture no hold and I was look for a sealant that provided more definition. But since I barely wear my hair out any more I might as well get what keeps it most moisturized!!!

    Thank you for your comments, and I too swear by olive oil. I like the fact that I can us this oil in my hair, and then smooth it down onto my skin. I'm 60 years old, and my gentleman friend is always complimenting me on the smoothness and nice to touch of my skin & hair. I sometimes use a detangler & extra virgin olive oil or coconut oil in a spray bottle, and this hydrates & detangles and reduces the need to tug & pull my hair after washing. In addition, I have granddaughters with very ethnic hair and it softens and decreases the tangle of their hair, this aids the ability to retain the ends and aid in what looks like longer hair, which it is because their hair doesn't break. Sometimes I just spray their hair in its braided state. The Fenugreek is something I'll be on the look out for. I recently started using Ashwaga (I know I jacked up the spelling) this in a pill form like a vitamin. I have also discovered Argan oil is good & healthy for hair & skin too. I have a friend that is African-American and Native American and his hair is down to his butt, and he swears by Avocado's he smooths the thing in his hair and on his skin. The only thing that many others swear works wonders for them is Shea Butter. The shea makes me itch when used in my hair, and on my skin. It seems to be too thick.
    So thank you much for the information, and I'll incorporate those essential oils you listed as well as aromatherapy and scalp message. Salaams = Bye!

    You look so pretty sleep deprived who knew??? Didn't somebody just give birth to a little Prince, couldn't be you. Queen your already back congrats!!! I would add Grape seed Oil, Avocado Oil, and Coconut Oil. All of these are also staples for me. Jamaican Black Castor Oil is a must, but what I do is use any of the other oils we've previously mentioned in order to cut it. This way its not so thick, and I can make regular use of it. In fact I make your Hair Growth Oil with all these as well, and its truly done wonders for the health of my hair. I always use essential oils not just for their benefits, but because they are the best way to scent the oil mix. Just an FYI I'd say since you can't drink coffee slide on over here to Team Tea. There are literally millions of brews, and even more health benefits. So you can be energized naturally, and never even think about another cup of not so healthy coffee.

    What do you know about bhringharaj oil?. What does it do?, Can it grow hair?. I have taken Geritol. Taken vitamins. Taken biotin. Deep conditioned. Used red palm oil. Used clay mask with acv. Have clarified my hair. Used olive oil. Used hatian castor oil, etc... My hair grows so slow. As many things I've used on my hair, it should be longer than shoulder length by now. I've been working on my hair since 2017. Someone said to use oatmeal ( the cooked kind). I've used henna. MSM made me sneeze a lot. I do not want waist length or hip length hair. Just pasty neck and ony back. I have used essential oils too. Avocadoasks. Vitamin D which caused bone growth on my spine.

      Get a full panel vitamin test for deficiencies. Try iron or zinc (get tested first, though). Maybe try onion juice. Green beauty has a great recipe, though hers is a bit intense since she adds cayenne. Just cut up onions, blend (w/o adding water), and strain the little juice from the onion. Use it weekly or biweekly. Use it on scalp and leave it for 30 min or more than shampoo. Could also be stress related or hormonal. It could also be mostly an issue of retaining length, not necessarily hair growth. Try using different creams, butters, or maybe even using grease as a sealant.

      Hi! How did you change your porosity?

    • @TheAmazingXman
      @TheAmazingXman 6 років тому +2

      @@Fortheloveofshola hi there! To answer it's a feeling almost. My hair is naturally super low porosity and high-density. So not only is it hard for products to penetrate my hair strands but also coat every hair strand evenly and not have parts of hair that are not moisturized. In my crown area I have curl definition to the root and it is a lot easier to apply products there without tangling webbing and knotting I don't have to put forth so much effort like before. I can also tell that my hair porosity has become more normal and other problematic areas of my hair near the nape of my neck as well normally when I apply product to those parts of my hair and really all over I have a almost white residue cast and my hair takes a longer time to dry the drying time has cut down I would say at least buy a 4th my hair is reflecting more light as well instead of having products it on top and we happen to blot out the excess it's seeping into my hair strands. These this is after 3 treatments and also maintaining my regimen. I use a hooded dryer for DC and drying also i steam my hair every other wash day too! But I know the henna is acting as a catalyst to speed up the moisture process. 💙💯👑🙌😊🙏💚👌🍀😇

    I love your shrinkage. I wish mine would stop pass my shoulders. My hair stops at my neck. As far as oil...i used pure coconut oil while wearing my hair stretched for 4 months and got about 1in a month. First time doing this and will continue to oil my scalp with this oil.

    • @annvogelpohl3502
      @annvogelpohl3502 6 років тому +1

      It is medium a touch heavier than olive oil, definitely not in castor oil territory. A much lighter oil for detangling would be broccoli seed oil.

      There was an essential oil I bought years ago and it detangled my hair beautiful. It literally kept all of the tangles our of my hair for days but for the life of me, I can't remember what it was. I used it then stopped for some silly reason and now I have no idea which oil it was.

    I Am A Long Time Subscriber Of Your Channel, And I Truly Love Your Videos :) You Give Us So Much Detailed Information. Like When You Mentioned That The ASHWAGHANDA In The Loc + Tress Oil Helps With Hair Loss Or Stress Due To Hormone Imbalance, (that's a great bit of information to have). I've Recently Purchased The Loc + Tress Oil From All Things O'Natural, And That Bit Of Information Was Something That Was Just ONE MORE PLUS, Along With YOUR REVIEW! On Top Of EVERYTHING Else, It Really Does SMELL AMAZING! (infact, I've purchased their shampoo, DEEP conditioner, leave in conditioner, hair and body butter), All Because Of Your Reviews, (well, I haven't seen a REVIEW on the shampoo), But I Figured That With The Other Products That I've Bought And Loved, (because they are ALL. SO AMAZING, Lol), I Couldn't Go Wrong With Anything Else That They Sell, Lol. I Found Out About Their Products BECAUSE OF YOUR REVIEWS, SO THANK YOU FOR THAT, Lol. After Seeing Your Reviews, I Started Noticing That There Were Other UA-camrs Who Had Also Done Reviews On All Things O'Natural Products. I Don't Know If I Started Noticing Then Because, NOW, I WAS AWARE Of Their Products, But, In Any Case, Now, There Is NO Going Back, Lol! Thank You So Much For Sharing, And GOS BLESS YOU AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL FAMILY! :)

      Desirey Morris yes I wish I had found curly when I started transitioning just about 2 years ago. would have been so helpful because I think I got breakage on the ends of my hair. I started transitioning with fairly long hair and it is almost waist-length now, however, the relaxed hair that's left if held to my roots is a lot shorter than my relaxed hair was when I started. so I'm guessing if I did not have some type of breakage then my hair would probably be past waist-length buy now. never ever in my life, don't recall when I was really really little girl, has my hair been this long.

    Hey CurlyProverb, I am praying for you and your sleep :) My holy grail is olive oil, and essential peppermint oil. I use vitamin e and Mango Butter as a combo for a diy deep cond. Now the Msm and Vitamin c I recently started as an oral regmien . As for the black castor oil, I think it is a humectant. if so I can only use it during the summer. and I am very protein sensitive .so I use 2 min. protein and Im good. I really appreciate the share.
