I agree. The time and effort is worth it. I spend a couple hours each month to make my DIY products using Curly Proverbz recipes and some of other UA-camrs. Wash day is just once a week and most of time I wear my hair up. I’ve been a loose natural for three years (after having locs for 12 years), and my hair is very healthy from all I’ve done to maintain it.
They want the "poof" instant results route and we all know, when you want something good for yourself it will take time and patience!
I took "vitamins for the hair" from Natures Bounty for years! eating foods and taking in herbs that helps with hair & skin and incorporate healthy eating and exercise to motivate blood flow.....all of this DO help with healthy hair. Nothing is overnight.

I just did the Aztec clay on my hair the other night.. I almost fainted bc it was my 1st time and it was so fresh/clean, soft!! I'm in my protective mode so it helped.q

What was the recipe?
Curly Proverbz Yes it's Bentonite clay. There's several different ways you can customize it for your own hair. You can do simple water and bentonite clay. Bentonite clay with about a tablespoon of ACV and then the rest water. Some people use bentonite clay with aloe vera juice. You can add essential oils if you choose. It does not have to be a complicated recipe and can really just be kept simple as the beauty of it. I've done it all of the above. Some people add a little bit of oil to it?? I wouldn't do it , but some people do. Oh watch letting it sit to long, it will be more challenging to wash out.

That's what I was looking for when I saw the title. Didn't expect to be a sponsored video. I have all the ingredients and piecing together a routine based on my hair porosity (high) vs. hers is low. My hair gets oily midweek and need to wash it. So far I am thinking -
Day 1: Wash hair, ayurvedic henna mask, and condition
Day 2: Tea mist to refresh curls (2b-3a).
Day 3: Daytime my hair is in a bun. Hair growth oil overnight treatment
Day 4: Wash and condition
Day 5: Tea mist to refresh curls
Day 6: Daytime hair bun.
Day 7: Wash hair, henna mask & condition
Repeat
Starting this weekend, let's see how this routine goes. Might have to modify based on how my hair takes all these in :-) Super excited though and many many many thanks to CP. What a gift she's got.

I’ve recently started dermarolling my scalp before my Ayurvedic treatments/ glosses. I apply peppermint oil to the treatments and OMG 😱 the Tingling you feel of the peppermint oil on your scalp after dermarolling... Ugh! So good!

Their lemongrass leave in conditioner fried my hair. It’s like a gel. And they will not accept any reviews that are not four stars. I have tried posting on their site but my comments have not been published.

Same here - there’s a hold to it but it isn’t very moisturizing (for my hair) . So just leaves my hair feeling hard and brittle once it has dried.
Remember, she has low porosity hair so maybe it's good for that and medium porosity. She has changed a lot over the years, and I think that instead of being so focused on name brand products that only work for her hair type, she needs to go back to actual Ayurveda hair care.... The stuff that got her to her status now and is WAYY CHEAPER than these products. Curly Proverbz has become so extra and so bougie!! I can't relate anymore especially.

Yes sis!! So, I just tried the NN Deep Conditioner is the most wonderful conditioner. My hear right away soaked it up like it was thirsty. It clumped and just felt lushes. Other DCs tend to make my hair too soft. But this NN DC!!! The BOMB!!! Styling just with the leave-in from Pattern, that's all and it was enough!
