Always love the discussions, you ladies are the best. I really related to Cathy’s comments on racism, as an African American woman living in Michigan she is spot on!
Always looking forward to your discussion . It’s my favorite Outlander hang out

The scene about a child’s parentage was between Collum and Dougal (and Jamie is present), when Collum is chastising Dougal regarding Geillis’ pregnancy. “Your son? No, that’s Arthur Duncan’s child!”
Thank you ladies for taking time out of your busy schedules to present this Outlander Review. 💚💚 I love your detailed breakdown of the episodes.❤ I missed Antoinette's passionate comments. I thought this was a great episode with amazing acting by these incredible actors. The outstanding scene for me is the final one. I agree with Courtney - they had so many moving parts in that scene and could have easily messed it up. But all the actors were amazing in their individual roles. I especially loved the look on Claire's face at the end of the scene. It's like she is saying - Yes! That's my husband and there is never a dull moment with him! 😂
William’s comment to Miss Chew about “careless abandon being the reason they(the British)got us into this mess”. Interesting comment for William. One other small item was when Mercy Woodcock stood up for herself.
Hi gals, nice to see you back! Regarding the episode, I agree it was a very good episode. Caitriona is so good. Her expressions come across so well in every single motion. From her neck when she swallows, her eyes; her breaths, her lips... everything. Karmen, I read Sophie Skelton broke her finger before somehow. They decided to add that scene where she is fighting to close the drawer, and it really works, I agree. I enjoy seeing you again😊. Eugenia Elmo
I love that it was true to the passages in Echo in the Bone. Outlander has always gone way above and beyond with passionate sexual scenes. This was very true to the book and not done more than what the book does - and I am thankful for that. In the book, it is all a blur and the talk afteward with John is what their scenes are all about. This is exactly the way it was played here and I am most grateful for that and not going overboard simply because it can as a show. Spoiler: I know of at least one more love scene coming up where I hope it is true to the book as well between Ian and Rachel on their wedding night (and probably will be something we see next season). That is something as an Ian and Rachel fan that I am hoping lives up to the book after all the stuff we have screen on screen between Izzy and John already.
A child is the child of the marriage regardless of the biological father. Go back to Paris and Prince Charlies affair with the friend of Claires. When she got pregnant that child was her husbands legally.
Good point. There are many references in these books, it turns out. Hamish (discussion between Dougal and Colum, Paris with Louise and Charles, the Beardsley child, and Malva Chrsty being Tom's daughter!
The last scene when Claire was passing the message - that entire scene seemed off to me. Richardson was suspicious of her to begin with as she was just there the day before. She was reaching up and behind her. Anyone from anywhere could see what she was doing.. There was not anything up that high to forage. She really did look like she was hiding something. I kept trying to see if Richardsons ears were even!
I totally agree with you about the scene where Claire deposits the note. I don't think she could have been more obvious about it! Were his ears uneven in the book??
@@outlanderbts532 Yes several references. William described them that way several times. and so did Bree. The picture William drew for Bree also showed the ears. It was supposed to be a distinguishing feature.
Was it 1970? I thought it was 1968? Regardless, ss Cathy and I mention - it was not accepted socially until long after that - and still not totally accepted today.

YES!!! I was thinking it was the Beardsley child but I think you're right!
The line " Think of the dear, ny dear" is a direct line in the book as LJG is leaving the bedroom in this scene.
The opening credits for this episode show a white deer in a field. LJG’s deer
And I love that deer story and line. Kind of an echo to Jamie calling her Sassenach
I got emotional when Cathy said her daughter asked when her grandfather passed, “How do you replace that special way someone loved you?” 😢
I too thought of Claire descending the stairs of her other Red Dress in Paris. What a contrast. great scene.
I just love you ladies!! I look forward to your discussions!!💜💜💜💜

Was he referring to the British with that comment? I wasn't sure
I thought he meant the "Rebels" were the ones who "got them into this mess"
@@jenbialek Yes I did too - the reckless abandon of the rebels.

HI Eugenia x
Your reviews surpass any others....by miles!! You ladies ROCK!! NO DISCUSSION
Re John able to have sex w Claire aside from age and drunk, he’d commented when he had measles, that he did his husbandly duties with his wife.
Yes, I did mention that in our discussion but it was toward the end and we were already wrapping up, so I left it out. Should have kept it in!

Jamie hadn’t just gotten off the boat. In the books, he and Janet had landed in further south and had traveled north to get to Claire.
Good point, but he looked like a dandy in their reunion scene imo!
I think that they blended Henry and Ben together for the TV show. Thereby causing the confusion in the show re titles.

Claire returned through the stones in 1970 and interracial marriage was legalized in 1967.

I heard on the podcast that Sophie had really broken her finger so they added the part with the drawer.
How clever of them! It really worked!
