I love that you love Outlander so much. I went to Scotland in October. I visited… - Lallybroch/Midhope castle - Mackenzie/Doune castle -Fort William/Blackness Castle - The Print Shop - Culloden Battle Field - Clava Cairns, the standing stones that inspired Outlander’s author - Geilis Duncan’s house town square - The Isle of Skye Go for the food…🤣🤣🤣
Peggy Chew was an actual historic character who ran in the same crowd as Benedict Arnold & his wife. The author loves to throw in those little items. This last section of the episode was the end of Book 7. We then had to wait about 4 years to find out what went on.
I mentioned her as the future wife of Benedict Arnold in another discussion thread, got called “crazy,” and nearly got my head taken off by someone, because they did not get that she married him after marrying someone else. Peggy Chew eventually married a Mr. Shippen. She became widowed again, at which point she met Benedict Arnold, captured his heart, then turned him towards the Loyalist side. Thank you annefox926 for proving that I was correct after all in picking up on that detail.
Your nails are beautiful. Perfect color for the winter season. I am so glad Lord John has had modern woman Claire to talk to throughout the years. He wouldn't have been able to be open with anyone else during that time and wouldn't have had her sage modern woman perspective/advice. Ian gave William Jamie's rosary the first time they met, when Ian rescued injured William in the woods.
Those of us who have raised children long before commiserate with you. Of course you're exhausted. It goes hand in hand with Mommyhood. Don't worry, you'll get a relaxing full nights sleep when the kids are about 15 yrs old. I'm a Great Gramma now and the best part of that is NO waking up at 5 in the morning. You're a beautiful Mommy, I can tell because you get up early and save nap times to do what you want, the rest of the time is for your family.
We wouldn't love Outlander so much if it wasn't difficult to watch now and then. I appreciate that you take the time's when you don't need to be a mommy to make reactions for us pathetic viewers. Thank you very much.
Keep in mind it's only been a few weeks if that. And in the books John comes into her room more than once expecting something from her. She's grieving. The dinner is at their house
Evie, did you catch the audio voice over, when Claire said the “until death do us part” part of the wedding vow when Jamie’s musical theme quietly came over, followed by the sound of Jamie yelling for Claire as if from an echo chamber? Rewatch and catch the subtle editorial detail. Great post-production editing by the show runners.
Only in the book. In the show Jamie gives him a snake to remember him by. He gets the rosary from Ian in the swamp with the wotds " this belongs to my uncle"
Jamie gave him his own rosary to William, before leaving Helswater, when he was know as Mac and was a groom there as a leaving present and gave him the only name he said a right to give him, his James, he told the lad he had to keep it secret though.
Hello Evie 🙋🏻♂️👋🏻 I don't understand why in this series they put explicit sexual scenes, unnecessary nudity and sex, They are uncomfortable for today because they sexualize women, The worst thing is that some controversial chapters even have scenes of sexual rape, That is already disgusting 🤢🤮 What do you think Evie? I hope to know your opinion because you are a woman 🙏🏻

Funny how Jamies's not back for 30 seconds, and immediate shenanigans ensue, and He's got a gun on John lol... Same old crazy antics XD...

4:35 Fun fact- Sophie actually had a broken finger in real life in this scene! Also- a love triangle? Lizzie would approve :P !
Your excitement is contagious! 🫶🏼

I'm by no means an expert on Quakers, but my cousin is one, and I appreciate this show having two well--developed Quaker characters.

OMG, I never noticed that (I'm sure my soul reacted but my ears didn't hear it). I'm going to rewatch. Thanks!
This episode should wake you up !!
William was given a rosary from Jaime when he became Catholic.

Why only women ? They sexualize men too...
I love lord John as well and I don’t want anything to happen to him. I know. At least a Hug. 🫂
