When and How to use Miss, Ms., and Mrs.

Miss: technically reserved for ladies under the age of 18
Ms. : for unmarried ladies over the age of 18, or for ladies you do not know well enough to know their marital status. Some divorced women, or married women who have not taken their spouse’s last time prefer Ms.. When in doubt, Ms. should be your default.
Mrs. : Married or widowed women
A professional title, such as Dr., would be used in place of Miss, Ms., or Mrs.
In the United States we put a period after Mrs. and Ms., but that does vary by country.
Remember, it is always better to ask someone of their preference rather than to assume. ❤️
