      I remember watching the movie in theaters and I remember saying “whoever that bald homie is with the fat man hands it sounds like Tom Cruise” bc he literally did something different than he normally does in his movies from Jack Reacher, Ethan Hunt, Maverick (Top Gun) Colonel Stauffenberg, etc, etc

    Cruise is and has been one of the rare actors who can go to any extent to make the character authentic. It is the preparation that makes the finished product so enjoyable.

      Im pretty sure they based the character of les grossman on harvey wienstein. They would never say that now but its pretty obvious thats what they were going for.

    Les Grossman was by far Tom's best ever character purely because it took this guy we all knew as one of the best, serious actors of his generation and put him into a surreal comedy character and he utterly killed it. Of course he did.

    Tropic thunder is one of those movies you don't expect much from, then you watch it and it's one of the best things you've ever experienced, we were all dying of laughter in the theater and for few days after 😂

      There hasn't been a movie with him where he didn't completely smash it.
      Some of the movies might not be all that great but his performances are always worth watching them.... even that Mummy film he did.
      Live/Die/Repeat or Edge of Tomorrow (whatever you prefer) is one of my absolute favorite films of all time.

    My best friend and I have a tradition where every single time we have a bro weekend we watch Tropic Thunder 1-2 times.

      Tom has no release in 2019, he should've done Les Grossman, it wouldn't have taken much time, I've been waiting for it for ages.

    Tropic Thunder is one of my favorite movies. He should do more comedic roles because Les Grossman was hilarious 😂 that Ben look 😆 Ben Stiller did a great job impersonating Tom a while back.

    Awesome he asked for approval first before using his line.
    Also Tropic Thunder took some edge off of Tom Cruise Scientology phase.

    I didn't realize that was Tom until the credits started rolling when I first watched it. Was amazed that hed do that. Maybe a little crazy with the scientology but an amazing entertainer and actor.

      i already know he is a good actor before this. but yes. I didn't know it was him untill later in the movie. it's interesting that some handsome actors or beautiful actresses have to put ugly makeup on for people to focus on their acting and appreciate their talents instead of their looks. I guess it's human nature. but good choice by Tom Cruise.
