As someone who recently spent 200+ hours learning inferno to get my first cape on my UIM btw, it really bums me out to hear that this guy thinks 70% of capes are bought. Learning the inferno sucks, but you're right when you said that the feeling of finally succeeding in getting your first cape is pretty indescribable. Hopefully Jagex can improve their detection going forward and continues to ban sellers/buyers. Very interesting video!
I have to say the inferno is the most important piece of content for pvm in osrs, learning to do it will massively increase your game knowledge and skill

I would never buy an inferno. Not because I disagree with buying services. Just imagine if you got your account banned over a cape. Months of work gone plus you paid money aswell.
i mean, just throwing it out there.. jagex doesn't perm ban you first offense. its a 2 week ban and cape removed. perm ban if you do it again. so to some people its 50/50. if you get caught you just cant do it again so

Meanwhile you have people on reddit saying video game accounts should be tied to social security numbers and cheaters should be punished by law lol. Absolutely dystopian mindset.
The easiest way to find someone who bought their cape is by simply asking them about the inferno. If they don't know anything about the inferno like when healers spawn at Zuk or mechanics like blob flicking, then they most likely bought it. Also their timestamp is something that differentiates them. Someone who has one completion is more likely to take a longer time to complete it because they milk specs and take their time. 1kc capers who completed it in under an hour and a half with only an ACB are sus to me. I'm not saying it's not possible, just more unlikely. A pro doing the cape for someone else isn't going to waste their time taking 3 hours to do a cape when they have the ability to do it in half that time. I will agree that completing the inferno is one of the most dopamine-releasing things you can do in OSRS. Getting your cape legitly is something that everyone should do.
true. but could also be an alt. i personally don't think anyone whos pking with infernal cape is legit lol. especially those random dudes you see in like sparc macs videos or framed. they get dumped on in the vids.

Maybe if i get a slayer task and go back in my muscle memory will take over but for now i'm ngl but i'd be clueless af :p (but agreed if the completion time is less than 90 minutes...yeaaaaahhh)
can't be mad at this dude, seems humble and is just making money off of people who are too lazy to get their own flex item. also, remind me that if I ever become good at rs to never even attempt inferno. sad to think that even if I streamed me getting the cape, a lot of ppl would think it's fake just bc I'm a girl lol
It's something worth striving for once you get to end-game, not for flex purposes, but for self achievement purposes. You shouldn't value your accomplishments based on the whether or not people potentially think you got it illegitimately. I enjoy watching your duo GIM series, keep it up and strive higher!
I wouldn't worry about it, some of the greatest RuneScape players have been women. Bluerose13x, Larryr, LIGHTNING, Tks, Lilyuffie88, Chessy018, and so on,

There’s a massive difference between buying gold and buying the hardest challenge in the game. I personally have no problem with people buying gp but buying an inferno is a slap in the face to everyone who tried for weeks/months on end.

@Eipa Ollu oof that was really cringe to read. you would spend a whole week of income on a game? especially something supposed to have value to being able to complete the hard challenge?
@@dabillya6845 As Eipa pointed out... I've very occasionally seen obby mauler accounts with infernal capes, those ones would be interesting/expensive because you can't do many attempts at it without raising the combat level of the account.
There are only 2 obbys who i know off and those 2 did it legit

As someone who recently spent 200+ hours learning inferno to get my first cape on my UIM btw, it really bums me out to hear that this guy thinks 70% of capes are bought. Learning the inferno sucks, but you're right when you said that the feeling of finally succeeding in getting your first cape is pretty indescribable. Hopefully Jagex can improve their detection going forward and continues to ban sellers/buyers. Very interesting video!
He's right, be glad you're in the selective 30% of players who actuallly got their own cape. Sorry there are just more shitters than there are players
Don't be sad. It means you can bully 70% of inferno cape havers if you've actually done it. That's the true flex. And the people who bought it know.
I have to say the inferno is the most important piece of content for pvm in osrs, learning to do it will massively increase your game knowledge and skill

I'm literally dreading doing inferno on mobile.
Whoa holy smokes, you said Like button at 9:10 and it lit up... lol They must have JUST added that feature and now i'm going to have to start saying it.

Agreed, the guys are nice af. They even told my friend it wasn't a good idea to do the cape for him because he had recently moved and the IP would be a problem. Refusing the easy money is respectable, I'll give them that.

i mean, just throwing it out there.. jagex doesn't perm ban you first offense. its a 2 week ban and cape removed. perm ban if you do it again. so to some people its 50/50. if you get caught you just cant do it again so

ye i noticed that while i was watching the video with caper himself haha
took me 3 months of trainning and 4 zuks to complete, i have like 24 kcs right now but no pet... if u learn 2 things you get it in a few weeks:
corner trap
1 tick flicking (to blobs + ranger/mager)
I like that you leave out details that would help rule-breakers but still give enough information to tell the story
Bro, your successes are valid. You're not cringey for having congratulated yourself for that. That's a valid human emotion you had and you shouldn't beat yourself up for it.
You are the News Anchor of OSRS!!!
2 Kc on main and one on my zerk too. Was a sweaty grind for sure!!

I’m friends with a big name caper, he’s made over 100k this year alone doing capes, he uses parsec to do them remotely and is also a co-owner of a gold selling website. He literally dropped out of college to continue doing capes while the money is there. 2021 was crazy for Capers since Jagex has stopped cracking down and investigating capes so everyone’s comfortable paying for them
proof or dont believe in the slightest.
its still against the rules, jagex just sucks at doing anything comparable to being professional.
@@dabillya6845 I’m not the person who does them, how am I supposed to give you proof? He mainly does pures/zerks @ 500m for a pure and 350m for a Zerk with max gear. Well, yeah, morally he's a good dude, it's just breaking video game rules. Like I get we're all people who play games, but I'll be honest, any actual life gain from a video game at the expense of the people's pride who are playing said video game, is a win to me.
he doesnt care he knows it isnt personal. he isnt exposing this guy as a shit head ... well irl at least. all hes doing is breaking rules in a video game which in retrospect isnt this biggest of deals ..
Meanwhile you have people on reddit saying video game accounts should be tied to social security numbers and cheaters should be punished by law lol. Absolutely dystopian mindset.
Surprise it was Woox who was first to win inferno :D
“ a friend come to home with an offer “

92 minutes on my first cape :)
I was basically speed running that shit until the nerves set in near the end lol, fuck sitting around with an sgs up your ass for 3+ hours lmao. Much better to just keep sending attempts imo
Except you need close to 2b which takes forever
timestamp is probably the best judgement since i can answer both those mechanics questions with 0 attempts so i assume others know too
mate i done my cape almost a year and half ago, quit because of irl stuff (wife, kids, house), i have 3 kc but could not tell you even if my life depended on it how tf the cave goes again, and people told me they nerfed the blowpipe and the meta changed a bit. Maybe if i get a slayer task and go back in my muscle memory will take over but for now i'm ngl but i'd be clueless af :p (but agreed if the completion time is less than 90 minutes...yeaaaaahhh)
“I’ve maxed out 2 accounts and I’m working on the 3rd” also translates to my eyes see more screen time than sun time
Pink clay is pretty good
can't be mad at this dude, seems humble and is just making money off of people who are too lazy to get their own flex item. also, remind me that if I ever become good at rs to never even attempt inferno. sad to think that even if I streamed me getting the cape, a lot of ppl would think it's fake just bc I'm a girl lol

I completely support people making extra money doing stuff like this. If both the seller and buyer are happy, who is Jagex to say anything? Economy is already bad enough, might as well make money doing something you enjoy doing and are good at.
My thoughts exactly. Purchasing a cape has no negative effects on other players or the economy. I don't think it should be seen as rule breaking.

All jokes aside, I never understood why people would spend 100s or 1000s of bucks to get an item in a video game that they're not even good enough to get themselves, then when they have it, there's even less of a reason to get good enough to get the item or rank or badge or whatever it might be.
