It was fun guiding him through all the quests back then, and joking with him. Im 0bso_l33t in the chat. It was a really fun 3 weeks on and off stream. The guys got a heart of gold, i'll never forget the nights of telling him ghost storys while we were at sand crabs training.
Wasn't until 2 months ago I found out he plays Osrs after watching his vids for nearly a year.
Honestly one of my favorite content creators and wholesome people ever.

I started watching Charlie after JaGeX paid all those streamers to play OSRS and he was the only one who actually liked the game. He’s a cool guy and helping keep the game alive and growing.
I remember that, he also said that he would have played the gamemode anyway and jagex paid him in vain 😂
To put this into context, 2147m monkey nuts means people have spent over 6 billion gp in shops on them.

It's worth noting that Monkey Nuts are also used in the quest "Recipe for Disaster - Freeing King Awowogei", though technically it only requires one (unless you burn the stuffed snake). So there is a small demand for them prior to Spirit Tree farming.
I’ve never heard anyone in the UK ever refer to peanuts as “monkey nuts”. Legit thought it was a runescape specific thimg.

Facts
It made me so happy to see one of the biggest creators on youtube showcasing OSRS. I'm sure he's the reason at least a few hundred people started playing recently
He inspired me to try it and spend a solid 60 hours grinding on it, until Baldur's Gate 3 stole my attention.

Now this is something I didn't expect to see! I love the idea of Charlie making these kinds of cameos in RS creators videos. I honestly don't know how that guy has time for anything but I massively respect it.
He plays his account on his phone basically 24/7 LOL, he's nearly maxed now from what I know he's only missing mining and runecrafting, but could have one of those knocked out by now.
I was shocked the first time I heard him mention RuneScape, but you'd be surprised to find out the majority of high end streamers and UA-camrs have played RuneScape and continue to play it

Similar to Charlie I had been collecting them for the longest time because they introduce to the game very slowly. There's only 3 places you can get them

Because of this the nails can't come into the game at a fast rate even if everyone thought black nails were worth 100kea, and so I bought them for ~500 for a long time, and I collected almost 20k before something happened mid July
I suspect Real World Traders have moved in on the item and have been manipulating its price from around 2.2k->7k, but at one point these nails were selling for 26k, and at one point over 100keach nail
I was able to liquidate most of my stash at 26k, earning enough money to buy a Bofa and some extra things, but this has been an incredibly interesting item to watch.

It's a retro MMORPG. The graphics may look bad, but its very fun and has a massive player base. An HD client for it also exists. :)
