I tried to put the same scoop on the hood of my '69 Beaumont (Canadian version of the Chevelle). But I was trying to do it in the dead of winter in 1982 in an unheated garage. Trying to work with bondo and space heaters didn't go well. By the spring, my dad was selling his white 77 Firebird Esprit so he could get a cargo van for business. I took it off his hands for only $700! Needless to say, all my attention turned to the Firebird. Man, the girls sure got friendly when they saw me in that car. 😍
Yes, very happy, this engine is a beast and turns heads whereever I go! BluePrint has excellent customer service and are very helpfull. My car is not a daily driver so this engine would not be a good choice for this since I only get about 4mpg with the Holly Sniper EFI. I just start adding BluePrints new fuel additive and what a posivive difference, car runs much better!
I watched your update video I’m building a very similar build. 72 chevelle SS that my dad bought in 75 missing the original big block. It’s Mulsanne blue but I’m doing a blueprint 540, 4L80e, quick performance 9 inch with a nice suspension but planning on having AC and being able to drive it
@@ectolle54 Very similar build to mine. I am having heating issues with the motor and 4L80E when temps are over 90° which is most of the summer here! My radiator is not big enough but have the biggest I can fit with the CVF drive system. I'm also running the Derale trans cooler in the trunk and does not run thru the radiator. I have the Vintage Air that kicks ass but causes the engine to run even hotter! Be sure and use the correct big block frame stand offs and here is the pat number for the correct motor mounts, Energy Suspension Motor Mounts/Motor Mount Inserts 3.1117R
I’m hoping a chevelle instead of s nova having a bigger grill, more surface area and physically bigger radiator will help for cooling. Thanks for the info on the part numbers for the motor mounts.
My truck needs to sound like this
Music to our ears!!! 👍
BEAUTIFUL 😢. God bless America
