  • Hey Horse Lovers! This week I’m going to be posting a video series on my amazing Equestrian Vacation in Mexico! We stayed at Rancho Las Cascadas, an equestrian boutique resort for horse lovers. We stayed for a total of 8 days. We rode the ranch’s amazing Criollo horses who are bred for endurance and are hardy horses. They handled the terrain so well and they were very sweet & responsive You will also get a tour of the resort, meet some of the horses, and ride along on the trails with us! We had a wrangler for each ride which was very helpful and made the experience even better. This resort is all inclusive and it’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed at. I felt safe at all times and also noted that this is a very popular place for solo travelers. In this video you’ll get to meet some Criollo Stallions and come on a long, adventurous ride with us. There is a special surprise in this video and you will love seeing it! This video is packed with thrill, horses, and sight seeing as well. Can’t wait to show you this amazing equestrian experience!!! The sad part is this is my last ride at the ranch and I have to say goodbye to Machete. Don’t forget to subscribe and turn on notifications so you don’t miss the last video of this series. As always Enjoy The Ride. IF YOU ENJOY MY CONTENT SUBSCRIBE!

    What a glorious vacation. So happy for you and Kyle. I hadn't realized how tall he was until y'all stood side-by-side. I'm 4' 7" and my husband was 6' 1". It must have been so nice for you being able to ride and not need to do the grooming, etc afterwards. Again thank you so much for videoing for us while on vacation. ❤️🤗

    When I was your age I loved to gallop the trails, lol! However, now that I'm 56 I prefer to walk with sessions of short lopes. Where we trail ride, it is very hilly and mountains are prevalent. So it doesn't lend itself to galloping at all. We have lots of water to navigate and fun tree lined winding trails. I love walking because it allows me to catch all the sights.
    It sounds like you had a wonderful time in Mexico! Maybe on day you'll get a chance to go back! We did a Montana Ranch vacation and loved it. It's always fun to ride horses that aren't your own. I feel you get a lot of valuable experience in doing so! It also makes you miss your own horses a bit more. After all, they are your true partners!

Just sayin'. You will be able to integrate all of your experiences into caring for your own fur babies. Kyle, you did an excellent job as cameraman. And you didn't deserve the dirt snack! My Arabian would just fly and give a good snort afterwards knowing he was the king lol On a good trail ride I’ve always liked a good mix and could enjoy about anything. You look really nice on Machete and I can see why he was so enjoyable. I’d definitely book an excursion with them. Do you exercise and do Back stretches before you ride? I am picturing me riding right beside you at a gallop. Nothing more to me screams red flag than a horse being tied up by the neck with rope, chains connected to the rope and tied to solid concrete. If that horse breaks his neck, we all know who to blame. Big massive red flag.

    • @freespiritequestrian
      @freespiritequestrian  Рік тому

      This is no different than a nylon halter. The chain breaks, it’s actually safe. Just because something is different doesn’t mean it’s bad. Educate yourself.

    • @TheNutters768
      @TheNutters768 Рік тому

      @@freespiritequestrian equine care college student. Think I’m getting enough education 🤷, enough to know to never tie a horse to anything solid but to tie a safety knot to twine. Even if using a chain, it shouldn’t be clipped/tied to anything solid. Nylon halters (applies to rope halters too) also do not break very easily (why should never be used in trailers etc but to use leather breakaways in situations that require halters to easily break if needed), and if tied round the neck or head without a safety knot can risk a broken neck if the horse freaks out and pulls too hard. Not a good comparison.
      I have no problem with this being round the neck entirely. It’s the fact it’s connected to solid concrete while being round the neck, if it was a safety knot or clipped to something that will break if that force put onto it..sure, okay I can get behind that. I have no doubt that the neck will break before that chain, which is metal. A tug of a horse will not break it. Thought it was common sense to never tie a horse to anything solid.🤷🤷
      Sorry if I sound at all harsh, I do not mean to come off that way, I just tend to when I’m being serious but that does not look a safe way to tie a horse up. If you’re going to do that, safer to use twine and a safety knot. A horses safety is more important 🤷, this to me does not scream safe at all. Seen horses tied up by a nylon halter, up to something solid, freaked out and was yanking around. Couldn’t get free, fell and was basically hanging cause it got stuck and the halter did.not.break. The neck was stretched up to what it was tied to as it fell and couldn’t get back up. No doubt the neck was injured. No safety knot to release with the added pressure. Nata. Even if the chain breaks, you still do not clip it to solid things.
      Nylon is one of the most unbreakable materials used for halters, by the way.🤷
      A horses neck is also fragile so🤷 that’s why literally anyone with common sense will not tie or lead a horse by their neck.

    • @freespiritequestrian
      @freespiritequestrian  Рік тому

      @@TheNutters768 that’s why I’m referring to Nylon, it doesn’t break. So many people tie their horses to Nylon. I agree it could be tied to something that will break, I always do this myself. I was more so referring to the chain.
