    OMG! Thank goodness Kyle could fix the brakes! Double thanks he quickly realized there was "something wrong" before you got out on the highway very far! You were very shaken and not afraid to show it, Shea -- good for you! Glad all eight of you had a wonderful experience together and it ended well. Jafar cracks me up-- he is so prancy! Beats the hecken out of me why he was sold in the first place. Glad you got him! Wahoo! 🤠🐎

    I loved the footage and it looked like a mostly perfect trail ride experience! Ugh, truck trouble is the worst when hauling horses, and I understand your tears completely. Thankfully everyone was safe and you weren’t on the freeway yet! I’ve been there, girl, I know exactly how you feel!

    Another beautiful trail ride! Your always thinking of the safety of your horses and I love that. You can see how much they trust you! It's hard to pick favorites because it was all so beautiful. It's funny that you mentioned your solo time with Jafar. It was my favorite seeing him in his gaited trot. He looked like he was floating upward, he's so mystical. He's such a gorgeous horse and you have done so much to help him get to where he is now. It's all in your training ethics and I love it. Truck trouble is horrible, especially with horses and worrying about their safety. Thankfully things worked out and everyone is safe. Hugs!

    Wife . .. Oh sweetie I'm so sorry you had to go through that, when you started to cry 😢, so did I. Seeing you so upset.....my heart was aching for you 💔. I mean OMGOSH you must have been terrified for a while 🥺, I mean, no brakes hauling a huge trailer with 4 of your fur babies 🐴 on board.....I would have lost it!! A few tears, then you cowgirled up and handled the situation (thank God for mechanically inclined husband's 🙏) You did what needed to be done 👍 1st off, you handled your horses (my hero) made sure they were all ok 🙏. Thank you Father God for keeping the "guardian for horses" and her family and friends 🐎 safe 🙏 Amen. Whoo, that was scary 😱. So happy y'all are ok now. Well besides THAT unfortunate little mishap, the ride was funominal 😃 loved every minute of it. Blessings 🙌 Jennifer

    Jafar is a real beautiful and good horse, he trots nice, but he has'nt the real friesians trot. That typical gait is very elegant with the high kneeslevel. If younot agree, look one time "friesian horses", where they breed 25 friesians. But i love jafar with or whitout the highlevel trot. And he seems to have the real friesian character and temper, very sweet and gentel. He was doing so well on those trailrides. 👍💞

    • @freespiritequestrian
      @freespiritequestrian  2 роки тому

      He does have the trot, I just don’t want him moving in the huge animated gait, it’s not beneficial to them and hollows them out. I’ve looked at plenty of Friesian horses. Also, yes they have the high knee action when asked to move out in their trot, but sometimes people put on weighted shoes to make it more animated, which is not natural.

    • @joannesmartens9442
      @joannesmartens9442 2 роки тому

      @@freespiritequestrian the first horsechannel i followed was friesian horses, and even the foals from a few days do it always. It's so nice to see. It's realy natural. They don't have to ask for it, they do it from the first day in the arena and meadow. They have several videos from inspection, they do inspection to be in a closed studbook to have qualifications for sporthorse, star, crown or model, the highest one. Even when the horses go from stall to the meadow, they have their trot.
      I know you saw already so many horses and friesians, but the original from friesland in the netherlands have all that same trot, even in the inspections andcompetitions, where are only friesians allowed. But for it does'nt matter if jafar has or not that trot, he's a realy beatiful and sweet horse. And people who never rode a friesian say all that riding a friesian it's totely diferent when the had the opportunity to ride one. 👍💞

    Hello! That trail ride was very nice, I wished I had places like that near us, but in France there's not a lot unfortunately :/
    Also, I noticed that Jaffar's tail is on the side, i don't know if you noticed it but from what I remember, the tail is like that because of a problem in the back of the horse? (I don't known what the name is in english I'm sorry) I'm not sure if I can ask this since it doesn't concern me, but have you checked with the vet to see it is related to a problem in his back or maybe it is just his tail that is like that? (which is kinda weird tbh x)) Don't answer me if you don't want to, I'll understand ^^
    Anyway, I wish you a good day! xx

      Hi, yes he’s been vetted no issues. It’s a genetic trait for some horses and some horses just hold it there out of habit. Sometimes when the horse is lame they will hold it to one sign but he is not lame and that isn’t the case for
      Him. I wouldn’t be riding him if he was lame and I don’t ride my horses until they have been evaluated, which he has been and is good to go!

      @@freespiritequestrian oh okayyy! I didn't know it could be a genetic trait, or just a habit for the horse, thanks for telling me ^^

    Trail ride.. Also glad the end worked out well. Would have been stressful. Also was just curious if you thought to bring a medical kit? I am thinking you likely did.

    Is the safety vest you are wearing comfortable? Does it make you really hot? If I get back into riding I think I want one.

    My humble opinion, try not dismounting during scary situations, it can lead to bad habits.

      No, I a absolutely disagree, it builds confidence and keeps the horse and myself safe.

      @@freespiritequestrian I definitely agree! My horse is much more comfortable with me on foot during scary situations. I feel much more comfortable too because I know both him and me aren’t going to get hurt.
