- Hey Horse Lovers! Kyle and I are on a MISSION to find another horse to add to Free Spirit Equestrian! We are going to a specialty sale in Ohio and we cannot wait to see what horses we come across. Many of them are all around, versatile types of horses. In this video I will show you all of the horses we see at the auction and talk about what we find and like. I will also give tips, tricks, and advice regarding what we look for in horses at sales and how I go about deciding which horses I am interested in bidding on. There are so many different variables and things to look for when it comes down to purchasing auction horses. It makes it more difficult when There were so many beautiful, kind horses at this sale. I'm so happy you finally found a horse for Kyle to ride on the trail! He doesn't seem like a man who wants much in this world, he works so hard to support you and your dream and the results have been magnificent. I always feel like the two of you are so perfectly matched because he has just the right voice of reason so if he's saying yes to a horse and you agree, it must be right. He doesn't seem to have a problem saying when a price has gone too high. He's got that great intuition. Congratulations on your purchase! What a wonderful addition to the stable. I can't wait to see more of your new horse. 😊

What cracked me up is that horse was ready to follow both of you out of the stall. He knew he wanted to go hang with both of you! I think he's going to make an amazing addition to the farm. He's both smart and sweet.
Can't say that I blame him.........evidently, he had been tipped off about Shea, Kyle, and FSE through the horse 'grapevine'.

It was so sweet seeing the previous owner give him a hug goodbye. He was clearly very loved and came from a good family.

Others have commented about the going-away hug that owner gave to Kyle’s horse. It was a very touching gesture and you can tell that he was really proud and attached to that horse. 😊

What really sold me on the instant connection this horse felt for Kyle wasn't just him trying to come along every time they left (which was so adorable) but how he didn't look back even once to his former owner after the hug. He knew already that he was part of a different family now.
You can't go wrong with the animal who chooses you.
The real magic is to have a husband that actually wants a horse this much! (Or love his wife so much to adapt to her painfully hard passion) not many men around like Kyle, bless him. ❤

Through all the videos I have watched of FSE it's rare to see Kyle that drawn to a horse and I am so happy that you guys won him we know he is in great hands. You could also tell at the end, with that hug he gave him before they parted, that the man truly loved that horse. The horse's friendly demeanor also suggested he was well-loved and cared for.
I agree, it seems like he is going from one loving home into another. It's such a joy to see.

Yep; I agree with all these great comments. This horse has 'flash', and will always stand out in a crowd. It's early days yet in his training, so we can enjoy watching him mature with the potential to become a dazzling performer.

You have a knack for finding these young, calm, sweet horses whose previous owners are happy to see them go to you 😊 he reminded me of Beauty right away, the curious but relaxed demeanor is so similar. I can't wait to see him settling in and watching Kyle fall head over heels for him was delightful.

It’s obvious that Kyle is quite happy with the new horse , but honestly, Shae will be the most involved with him. The training, the introductions to the herd, daily feeding, plans for possible use for her riding students, etc.

That women's Amish riding group was absolutely amazing! That is so much harder than it looks. Back when I rode, I dabbled in a little bit of that for fun, and the timing has to be 100% spot on.

I know this is a business, but you can't be emotionally detached when you put this much effort and love into training a horse. The owner giving "Nemo" a final hug goodby was so touching.

I think “Beau” would be a great name. Ariel’s horse in the Disney Storybook. Reflects his southern heritage and his sweet nature, and it’s a little fancy like his color. What color!

Kyle has good taste. This guy is a keeper-what a sweetheart as well as a beauty. I was thinking he would go high. He wanted to go with you so badly-that was sweet. I think you could do a lot with him when you get him collected up. What a parade horse he would make with that carriage and calmness and good sense. And so many good years.

As an owner of 2 Foxtrotters, I am telling you they are the most amazing horses, kind, LOVES people, willing, and a dream to ride. My husband nevers does anything quickly, he is uber logical and has to sit on any decision, especially $$ decisions. When we went to see his first horse a 4 yr old bay MFT gelding, we didn't ride him, because it was dark, but I went all over him and he acted just like your new horse. I figured we'd leave and he would "think about it" for a week or so, but to my SURPRISE we went next door to the friend who told us about him and Don talked to her. When he said yes he wanted him and was willingly to pay the asking price, I about fainted! Buddy was one of the most naturally gaited MFT's ever! And was the most willing, loving, big hearted horses we were blessed to have in our lives. We lost him 2 years ago and miss him alot. Horses like him don't come around often, and I really think you guys found another special one.

I lost it when his previous owner hugged him goodbye. It was just so sweet and unexpected.
The seller obviously had an attachment to the horse. For whatever reason he had to sell him. I think he is kind and loves horses.
Kyle fell in love with this horse almost immediately, it was visible on his face,, and of all the horses you looked at he's the one I liked best too, and the one I thought had the kindest temperment. I hope he and Kyle have a great future, lots of trail rides, etc. Congrats!

He's gorgeous. I prefer the little more refined, less chunky build myself (coming from an Arab/Arab cross person here) and he is a beautiful cross with a bigger build with the MFT refinement. I understand the feeling. My Andalussian horse died 10 years ago and I was reluctant to have another one, but last month I rode a 5- years-old and I felt in love. I didnt want a horse so young, but he is so sweet and what can I say? I am in love and happy again. Kisses from Barcelona (Spain)

I love that Kyle got a horse!! You're always saying Kyle doesn't need his own horse because he doesn't ride that much, etc., but yet in another video when he's asked which horses he likes he names Arlo and Mushu, two horses you intend to "move along." Maybe this is Kyle's heart horse, the one that will draw him into greater participation! I have to say this really was a heart-stopping video! When I thought you'd dropped out of the bidding, I'm like, "Nooooo! She has to get him for Kyle!" It will be so exciting to watch this journey unfold!

Yup...same!! Only thing different is that I am grandma age - but no grandbabies ! ( lots of fur and feathered ones though!) just so delighted for Shae and Kyle and their new " baby" !

My first impression of him is that he's _very_ intelligent. He has an air of...awareness about him. Oh, & they certainly knew what they were doing by presenting him in the ring with that flag. It was as if he had stepped right out of an old, historical oil painting!

It was lovely to see Kyle lighten up and feel such joy about a horse. What I like most about him is his personality and demeanor. He also look really good and healthy, balanced strong body. I think actually it wasn't as much the horse, but the riders seat and hand, that made the horses head go up and the ride look somewhat unbalanced. 😅 I think you found another gem.
I was impressed with the whole setup. As Shae said the facilities were clean and new. The indoor exhibition ring/sale ring combination was a very nice touch. The auctioneer and assistants did a really nice job of giving bidders attention and time to make up their minds. I think if the young man that helped Shae had been pushier, she might have backed out. Last, the absence of riders doing stunts like standing on saddles, cracking whips, and waving tarps/other objects was refreshing. That sort of thing annoys the heck out of me. Even the flag was a bit much for my taste. That sort of thing isn't necessary to tell if the horse has the right demeanor.
The Moment Kyle walked up, that horse responded to him before Kyle responded to him. As soon as Kyle tried to walk away from him, he immediately followed Kyle. He was for Kyle. So glad that Kyle has a horse to call his own. And Thanks you for getting my brother a horse. Great job. I "liked" so many viewer comments. They were so spot on. Kyle really connected with this horse and it was so great to see. I really liked this horse, too. What a unique cross between Freisan and Missouri Fox Trotter. Nothing against gaited horses but was pleased to find out that he did not gait. Wonderful personality. I loved how the seller gave him a hug and said thank you to the horse. Nice to see such appreciation and respect. Im sure he was pleased to know that this horse would be going to such a great home. The big bay chunky mare sisters were fine but i agreed with Shae that something was off with the hind end on the first mare and the 2nd one we saw was just too big in my opinion. No question in my mind, you scored another diamond of a horse, just like Beauty. Congratulations!

For being a baby and having just turned 4 he is super calm in the arena. He was carrying the flag with no issues. He wanted to follow you guys anyway and was like let's go home. He is a good size for Kyle.
I cannot believe I am watching the auction again, I just cannot get enough of this beautiful boy and it is my birthday today, all the best people are born in July !!! Can’t wait to find out his name, love you all xxx
