- Hey Horse Lovers! This week I’m going to be posting a video series on my amazing Equestrian Vacation in Mexico! We stayed at Rancho Las Cascadas, an equestrian boutique resort for horse lovers. We stayed for a total of 8 days. We rode the ranch’s amazing Criollo horses who are bred for endurance and are hardy horses. They handled the terrain so well and they were very sweet & responsive You will also get a tour of the resort, meet some of the horses, and ride along on the trails with us! We had a wrangler for each ride which was very helpful and made the experience even better. This resort is all inclusive and it’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed at. I felt safe at all times and also noted that this is a very popular place for solo travelers. In this video you’ll get to meet some Criollo Stallions and come on a long, adventurous ride with us. I used to live for my horses! Unfortunately I haven’t been able to ride because of surgeries on neck and back. Only a true horse person can understand what a loss it is. I found your channel and love your horses and the fact you and your husband do so much together, and your obvious love of the animals. Never take for granted what you have! It takes a lot of HARD work to have what you have! Stay sweet, and kind!

@@beatricelefebvre8680 things are good, doing my gardening. Won’t be long and I’ll be canning. Right now I’ve been rehabbing a squirrel…he has an attitude but won’t be able to be released due to his injuries.
I feel your pain at not being able to ride. I can say that because I am there too. Age has not treated me kindly and riding again is not in my future any more. So yes I do feel your pain because it is also my own.
Thank you for sharing this with all of us. I will never be able to ride a horse again, but I have had a love of horses since I was very young, but my mother got rid of all the horses and put the saddle in the attic. I used to go up and pretend I was riding. I am now 83 and this has been amazing, being able to share with you. Thank you again from a grateful older person. You go girl! 🥰 I love the fact that you are living my dream. ❤❤❤
That waterfall was beautiful! Growing up in the mountains of Virginia we had a lot of water falls. Nearly every creek had one at some point. I really miss seeing them and wading the creeks, playing in the falls. What an amazing childhood I had!
Miss all the water in Mass. too. In Texas now. The trees are so short and no evergreens, little natural variety and far apart- zilch rocks! They are small also.

So appreciate the filming you do on the horse in motion which gives your viewers the feeling of riding themselves without the motion. I, or anyone, 34:13 who has ridden knows the wonderful exhilarating feeling . I thank you for all your delightful clips a day especially those filmed on horseback galloping. ❤
Bringing me back to when I had my heart horse and the freedom of cantering through the trails❤No other feeling like in the entire world❣️This is why I know for SURE there are horses in heaven ❤️🙏🏼💯

Thank you for this amazing video. I taught 4th grade at an American School in Mexico where I met the love of my life. We were told our different cultures would cause a divorce but here we are happily married 48 years later. We have a lot in common with you and Kyle. Horses are my passion and my husband does all of the maintenance work required.😂

I don't think I've ever seen so many dogs! Re: your meat comment. I'm kind of that way with meat too. I only eat very small amounts of meat, but it has to be from one of our local, familiar, small farms. They raise what they use plus some extra to sell. I'm just sitting here enjoying the markets, the horses, the scenery, and the clippity-clop sounds. Wow! That meal and a waterfall too! ...with ice cream! Are you sure you didn't book 'heaven' for this vacation?

I had the joy of riding outside Puerta Vallarta Mexico, there were loose dogs many places along the way. They loved to bark like crazy while running around the horses feet, at a trot or canter especially it seemed. One particular one even nipping madly. The horses seemed completely used to it, it was just me they seemed to make nervous! Chickens and children were often suddenly all around us too, but everyone seemed to coexist well. I was not a very experienced rider outside of the ring and all of this made me feel... well, I couldn't believe it! I could also not keep my horse from galloping after the wild people I was with, so it was pretty nuts. Once I realized the horse could go no faster I came to enjoy it all. She was a complete sweetheart otherwise, and the more I relaxed the more I felt we were working together. It's not like I could just dismount because I had no idea where I was. Now I know better about knowing the people and horses I spend time with. Miss horses though, it's been a while!
The only way I see and ride horses is from you. And I am gratefull that you take us along.Horses are just not part of my real life here anymore and miss it daily and makes me ever so sad and depressed.But look forward to your videos. Thanks

My cousin & I used to go out and ride for an hour or two after dinner every evening. I lost 15 pounds in two weeks just sitting on a horse.
Horseback riding and snow skiing are magical. One you sit and the weight just jiggles off triming your waste & hips and toning the inside of your thighs. The other, you can stand on two sticks sliding downhill and burn 500 calories per hour while your muscles grow and all those hot buttered rums melt off.
So easy.

I miss riding, I can no longer ride due to old injuries. My last horse I had was a Paso Fino he was soooo smooth. Unfortunately, he developed a congenital disease and had to be euthanized. My husband was not a horse person, he didn't ride he preferred another kind of horsepower. We managed to do what each of us enjoyed. We would go boating and come home and I would go riding. I miss them both.
I love that I get to live my 'horse' life vicariously through you. Cheers.

So beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing. I would ride out in the open every day if I could too. Maybe not 5 hours every day. Last summer I rode 5 hours up & down hills in Yellowstone on a Belgian & my legs were shaking when I got off. LOL.
I think my favorite vacation was a cattle drive up in the Sierras between Bishop, CA & Mammoth, CA. Miles & miles of nothing except the sweet horses, cows & other riders.

What diverse terrain you got to explore. It was really beautiful there. I have never been to Mexico before and had no idea what it would look like. Movies always leave you with a bad impression. The market with the animals did make me sad though.

Oh, talking about animals you don't have back at the ranch, I was thinking of Barn Cats. You know, you either have Barn Cats or Barn Rats, right? And, then again, UA-cam is the House that Cat Videos built. Your viewers would love to see a few cats wandering around the ranch.
