- Hey Horse Lovers! This week I’m going to be posting a video series on my amazing Equestrian Vacation in Mexico! We stayed at Rancho Las Cascadas, an equestrian boutique resort for horse lovers. We stayed for a total of 8 days. We rode the ranch’s amazing Criollo horses who are bred for endurance and are hardy horses. They handled the terrain so well and they were very sweet & responsive You will also get a tour of the resort, meet some of the horses, and ride along on the trails with us! We had a wrangler for each ride which was very helpful and made the experience even better. This resort is all inclusive and it’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed at. I felt safe at all times and also noted that this is a very popular place for solo travelers. In this video you’ll get to meet some Criollo Stallions and come on a long, adventurous ride with us. The sound of the hooves is so relaxing to listen to with my eyes closed. Machete sure was a nice stallion, especially when you were all together. I’m really happy for you and able to enjoy such a beautiful adventure with great memories 🌻

❣Okay, now, Shae is enchanted again with this new cemetery honoring the Day of the Dead. What an integrated way of life, the cemetery, the market and the siesta with your trail riding. The multi-colored housing is so festive. The fresh cooking made me hungry, too, on Day 2.
Lauren's 💞 black horse gallops beautifully. These horses really love racing each other for the lead. How you record all his with only one hand on the "reins" is incredible.!

This was spectacular! Such a magnificent travel documentary! If this is part two, I will be checking out part one after I recharge my battery. ...blown away how beautiful it is there, clear sky with Mexico City only an hour and a half away. Wow!

That horse could carry him just fine. The horse was about 15.3hh. And honestly the biggest horse they had.

What a fabulous holiday! What a gorgeous place to ride and the wildflowers are beautiful! I am loving these rides and the horses. Allegro is such a character, he's a lot of fun to watch. Kyle you're doing great man ! Can't wait for part 3. I also love how there are animals everywhere just chilling out. And yes the baby donkey was soooooo cute. Okay so as usual I messed up on which video I'm commenting on 😅. Another great video. Couldn't help laughing. It's a good thing it wouldn't be very easy to get the animals y'all wanted back into the states, otherwise I could see y'all renting a trailer and vehicle and introducing them to the babies back in Michigan.

❣💯Wranglers Louis and Manual, muchas gracias, for being such great trail guides to Shae and Kyle's group at your resort.
Question: Kyle, you're holding the "reins" in a loop as they don't use separate leather reins at this resort. Is this to keep the horse's neck at the certain height?
Question: one of the wranglers said to "sprint." Is that the same as canter in Mexico?
They were the best! They don’t use split reins here. The loop doesn’t have anything to do with keeping the horses head at a particular level, they are simply trail reins. I prefer them as well. They were just trying to speak English telling us we were going to “run/canter”, it’s not a direct translation. ❤️

Looks like a magical time and place! Did you consider other equestrian vacations? Just curious as I’ve seen a lot of different options out there in many countries.

These videos are all recent. All said and done it’s about 3-6k per person depending on the room you get etc.

What are those tall leaf looking plants? They look like Aloe Vera plants, just want to confirm...we are growing some Aloe Vera plants here in Nebraska and they get big, not sure how big... Maybe something different I see in these videos? Sure like your riding
