Spitfire F4 Radial Fulls has that curved side as well, and helps with primo tricks as well as protects your axle nuts. Only difference is Radial Fulls has the curved shape on both sides. 👍
I have a set. I’ve always preferred softer wheels but the higher traction of such wheels is limiting. A lot of skaters just like what they like… the feedback from the noise, vibrations etc… they ain’t gonna change. But physics says hardest wheels aren’t always bestest. Nanocubics They’re good for slappy too. I’d sooner replace worn out conical wheels than trucks with ruined axles. I dont skate enough for it to matter, but i think the new tech of recent years is great. Im knocking towards 50 and just wanted to try some freestyle on the popsicle i had. I was very surprised.. i fitted some bones red and spacers and the nanocubics (all from Vandem Longboards down your way). I was surprised how freely they spun, whilst locked up tight, no play. A proper good bit of precision that is. I don’t mind paying for Powell Peralta… i feel theyve give plenty to the sport/art/whatever 😉
for anyone who likes the dragon formula urethane, but wants just a tiny bit less grip and more speed (on smooth skatepark concrete), i'd definitely recommend the bones x97 wheels in case it gives anyone out there a better riding experience. i've become a huge fan over the past year (although i like dragons a lot too...i think their perfect environment is a little on the rougher side though)
I've got a set, they're way out of my league, but I feel like they're making my skating accelerate to a point where theyre eventually worth it - also I'm in the UK so yeah these are a massive win, the whole andy setup just suits UK skate so well
The main thing that draws me to them is the fact that the wheel nuts are not exposed so they last longer. I had to buy a new set of trucks because I couldn’t get my wheel bolts back on and I think it could help us save money in the long term.
Are you referring to the axle nut? If so you can replace those for literal cents, wdym you had to buy a new set of trucks? That’s like buying a new car when the check engine light comes on.
Have you got stuck at all witht he bearing being so close to the axle as it leaves a wee space. I want these but don't know if there better than the OJ oG
Definitely not the same slide. Spitfire soft wheels kinda slide like hard longboard wheels. The grip ramps up pretty quickly in a slide as you lose speed, while the Powell formula kinda stays progressive.
75 bucks for wheels with a "tecnology" that NOBODY of u guys has ever seen, neither the patent neither the "real Tech" behind that (if theres even any new tech, i doubt it). xD 75 bucks for wheels lmafo nah buddy, i more likely get then a set titanium ceramics and a set of 97A/95A Classics and i have the exact same feeling ;) But hey, Andy good job, get rich buddy

Love them, favorite wheel I’ve used. I’m sticking with them.
same here. best investment
Nice review!
I have bones x formula, they are not spitfires on a smooth concrete (but not bad at all) or coping, but they are nice on rough pavement.

Snot Wide Boys cover the bolts and are symmetrical. You can flip them over.
If you like them then you should try the 97a nano rats. Another great wheel

Been using the x formula which is more or less the same wheel just a different shape. Game changer for the uk.
X formulas have more grip, harder to slide
You didn't even talk about the flat inner side. They're asymmetric so you can roll up on stuff with the outer, and lock in with the inner.

These ride like a bigger wheel. Just rolls anywhere

Did you try the new spitfire formula four Reynolds already? Same sliding but feeling soft concept as the Andy Anderson wheels but then from spitfire.
Definitely not the same slide. Spitfire soft wheels kinda slide like hard longboard wheels. The grip ramps up pretty quickly in a slide as you lose speed, while the Powell formula kinda stays progressive.
I use those wheels and there a (8/10 I think )
