The architect of the museum designed the whole exteria of the museum to he skate freindly. They felt skateboarding and roller blading was a form of transport and wanted them hanging around outside. All yhe concrete is super smooth and dries super quick. The council are talking about making another skate plaza thing. The Glasgow skate seen is on the rise

I was there when it oppend and I managed to take some prizes home. I recommend you going here if you’re good at street but trust me it’s way harder to skate there than you think

If you ever make it as far north as Aberdeen the new(ish) Union Terrace Gardens is a spot you need to check out, ledge central and a very positive view towards skating it even being encouraged by nearby business owners

I think the museum want skaters to skate the plaza round the back when the museum is open to save skaters hitting pedestrians. they don't mind skating the front when it's closed but not into skaters skating when open.
