  • Hey fellow book lovers! 👋
Quick update: I've reuploaded this video due to some pesky audio gremlins in the original. The sound should be crystal clear now. Thanks for your patience!
Today, we're diving into the colorful world of e-readers, specifically the Kindle Coloursoft and Kobo Libra Colour. As an avid reader who's spent countless hours with both devices, I'm here to give you the unfiltered truth about these literary gadgets.
    In this video, we'll explore:
The good, the bad, and the pixelated of color e-ink technology
How these devices handle our beloved book covers and illustrations
Battery life: Can they last through your longest reading marathons?
The feel of each device in your hands during those late-night reading sessions
Navigating the e-book stores: A bookworm's dream or nightmare?
Price talk: Are they worth your hard-earned book budget?
I'll also share my personal experiences with both devices, including how they've changed my reading habits and which one I reach for most often.
Whether you're a die-hard physical book fan considering the switch or an e-reader enthusiast looking to upgrade, this video is for you. Let's figure out which of these color e-readers might be your next reading companion.
Grab your favorite beverage, get cozy, and let's talk books and tech!

Hello! This video was uploaded yesterday (November 6, 2024), and I received a lot of comments about the audio being messed up. I went back to the original, made some tweaks, and responded.
It sounds better than it did but is still a little janky. I apologize for that. I'm not sure what it is about this particular audio that is making UA-cam glitch out, but I don't think there's much more I can do.
Thanks for watching and for the feedback on the original. Happy reading! 😌

I'm not getting the kindle color, but I have the paperwhite and the kobo libra colour and I prefer my kobo in every single way to my kindle.

nice comparison. I've been with the Kindle since the original so I have a fair amount of books which I imagine would take forever to transfer from Calibre -> kobo. I don't even care about colour but just wanted a faster Oasis but an Oasis colour would have been nice. Sounds like the Kobo libra colour would be fine except my old library and all the Kindle stuff you mentioned. Guess I'll wait either for a faster kindle w/buttons or a sale on the libra colour.

It honestly took me about 2 hours to download my 600 e books from Amazon and about 30 seconds to remove the protection and transfer them to my Kobo. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting

I think you're right that if you're wanting a stylus, there's really no comparison to be made. TBH, I think that's one of the failings of the Colorsoft. I imagine you do have to do your research though, and only buy styluses that work well with the screen. I use a Metapen M1, and it seems to work fine for me. The biggest problem I've had with the stylus is that writing on the Kobo feels like writing on glass (which essentially, it is). I might look and see if there's a screen protector that makes it feel more like paper.

Moko do a matte screen protector that works well for this.

Aw, man, I’m jealous but happy for you. I currently have both, but I’ll be trading one in soon. As much as I love having them both, there’s also a little guilt that one of them will always be used less than the other. 😅
